It's a wonderful old building close to the river, very well renovated to a superior standard. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are large. Our family had two rooms (#4 and #5), the first one with 35m² the other one with 25m². We loved the design throughout - the wall colours, the floorboards, the benches along the walls, the wood panels, etc. Breakfast has to be ordered in advance, but I'd advise to take it. It's of great quality, plentiful, and the breakfast room is nice. The old part of the town is just 5 mins walking distance away. Be aware, it's not a hotel with a reception, hence the name Gästehaus (guesthouse). The upside of this is, the rooms are equipped with a fridge, a sink, cutlery, plates and cups. In the evenings we saw guests eating takeaway food in the breakfast room. Very convenient if you don't want to eat out every day.

Nothing that we didn't know in advance and accepted, so e.g. the hotel has no parking, but there is a car park nearby and you can get discounted parking tickets from the lady who prepares the breakfast in the morning.

it’s been the most stylish, comfy & cozy place ever, just marvelous!! Even the cups in the kitchen were special and beautiful. Furthermore the place was easy to find (just over the bridge when you come from a Lahn cycling trip), tiny walk to the ancient city. And the facilities were excellent too (silent & clean airco for example)

there was nothing not to like

The room was lovely, very spacious and a lovely bathroom and shower. The location was quiet, access was easy and the breakfast was extraordinarily generous and delicious.

This was not a problem per se, but it is worth noting that there is no lift and the stairs to the upper floor are quite narrow so if you are traveling with heavy/bulky luggage (as we were!) it may be worth requesting a ground floor room.

Location on the edge of, but not in Limburg's old town is a plus as the evenings at this hotel are quiet. The personal attention and quality of their breakfast is worth the additional cost. Fascinating and quiet air conditioning system was a huge bonus due to hot evenings during my stay.

We really liked the size and look of the room. It was in a perfect location for walking through the city center.

There is a bus stop right out the window and since we were there on a Saturday night we heard people on the street late into the night. We finally closed the window at 1:30am. The bed was a bit firm for us.

Very nice place, feeling like a home. Clean, fresh and large room. Interesting architectural solutions, no two rooms are the same. Good continental breakfast prepared by a very service minded hostess. The location is perfect, very easy to reach by car and only 5 minute walk from city centre.

The rooms and facilities are beautiful and comfortable, very friendly staff and great restaurant recommendations. Close to lovely riverside walks and the bustling Altstad.

Inflexible checkout hours. To accommodate a remote working schedule we had leave on the evening before our check out; while still paying the full amount for a night’s stay.

The host was very nice to us. You can park your bikes at a secured place. The room was wonderful with all facilities available.

The decor was lovely. It was cozy and clean and a short walk to a nice area of town.

I would have loved if there was an option for breakfast in the morning.

Great room (I was in Room no.3), high end and good quality fixtures and fittings throughout and very clean. Had a great stay and nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay here again if I had to return to Limburg.
