Absolutely lovely staff from front desk to cleaners, breakfast makers etc. The location isn't smack down middle of Munich, but buses go straight to Marienplatz frequently and the bus rides takes around 10-20 minutes. You can get to the hotel from chinesischer turm in less than 50 minutes. The room was very very clean and was cleaned every day. The toilet and shower was good also. Breakfast was good and gave a good start for the day. They also have 2 cute hotel doggos <3

The bed was a bit too soft for my back. Also - as in buildings from this era - the doors doent keep sounds from corridor away that much. I was out until late so I didnt mind on the first two days, but I had some oktoberfest guests staying at the adjacent rooms and they were a bit loud in the morning and in the evening. This isn't that big o a problem though. I don't know how much the rooms are outside Oktoberfest-season, but at the time the price was a bit too steep for my liking although in line with the prices of other hotels considering the season.

Hotel Mariahilf is a wonderful, small European hotel. If you want to stay in a hotel where the rooms are filled with antiques and each room is unique, this is the perfect hotel. The manager made us feel so welcome. Her English is excellent. Our German is nonexistent. We were visiting when Storm Boris hit. She helped us sort out our options. The breakfast bar is fantastic. The neighborhood is residential - very safe and beautiful. We had a delightful stay.

This hotel is a 20 minute walk to the city center. The staff were very accommodating, and we were able to check in a little earlier than previously indicated to the staff. There was a little hiccup upon check in with another person's luggage in our already cleaned room, but the staff promptly addressed the issue. Breakfast was included in the price of nightly rate, and included a typical, yet delicious Bavarian breakfast. For breakfast, there was an assortment of fresh fruit, yougurt, freshly baked rolls/pretzels, deli meats and cheeses, and coffee and tea. This breakfast left us very full well into midday. Hotel is very quiet, and we went during Oktoberfest. We excpected a louder neighborbood due to the fest, however, we were surprised at how quiet the hotel and neighborhood were. Yes, the wooden stairs are loud when walked on, however, this did not bother us.

The bed was not as comfortable as mine at home, but the excitement of being on vacation and in a new place quickly erased the minor discomfort I experience from the mattress.

The hotel was easy to find. The breakfast was good and varied. The room was adequate and clean, with toiletries and towels included. A complimentary bottle of water each was available on arrival. The room was made up every day which was a nice touch, even though not necessary as we only used the hotel as a base.

Perhaps a tea/coffee making facility in the room or on offer in the breakfast room during the hours the reception was manned.

The people running the place were so nice. I loved their dogs. The room was spacious and inviting. Our patio was great. There’s a really nice restaurant/Biergarten nearby.

We had a room for three people during Oktoberfest. We only one key that you had to use to lock and unlock the door from inside and out. We knew that we would all be wanting to come and go at different times. The solution was to give us a second fob to enter the building and hide the room key. Knowing it is a three person room, there should have been a key for everyone listed especially since we were paying higher Oktoberfest prices for the room. Breakfast could also have a few more vegan options. At the very least, a plant based milk to make cereal.

The location was amazing. It's very close to the German Museum and the city centre, but not crowded or noisy. There are some nice restaurants near the hotel and there is a market. I liked the breakfast very much, although it wasn't that varied, but there was everything you need: eggs, cheese, ham, toast, yoghurt, cereals, etc. Very nice and friendly stuff too. I really liked the fact that it was a family hotel. The room was clean and the hotel in general is really nice. The rooms and dining room have a really nice old feel.

The Wi-Fi worked poorly, but that's all I can really say about it. Also, there's a church next to the hotel, so it's probably better to wear earplugs or close the window. Otherwise, the night was very quiet.

This has been the most wonderful hotel I ever resided at. It felt like a home from home. The warmth and friendliness of the staff and the unique family environment of this most professional establishment steeped in the guest centred personal touch augured for a refreshing and most enriching holiday. I will certainly return here at the first opportunity!

There was not a single thing I did not like :)

I booked the hotel for the Euros and visited with my brother for two nights. I cannot fault anything , the staff were so nice and so helpful. The breakfast was fantastic . The room was clean and tidy. Access to the city centre very easy by public transport or even a 20 min walk. Would go back .

For the money we paid , nothing really . Maybe an extra pillow.

This was a really charming hotel, it’s an older building but the staff makes sure it’s comfortable and clean. Felt like I was staying at the Dragonfly Inn from Gilmore Girls! It’s not in the center but only a 20 min walk from old town. There’s also a cute patio in the back

The Wi-Fi was very sporadic which isn’t the best if you plan on relying on it for work or anything. The breakfast was okay

It is really B&B, not a hotel. The location is excellent. The staff was very friendly. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The instructions for getting in after hours were easy to follow.

The room was clean, but needed some repairs - it had a large stained spot on the ceiling with a paint peeling off.
