Maria was a super host. Our apartment had a partial sea view from the balcony, a mini fridge and functional bathroom. Towels were changed almost daily. Amoudara beach is windy and hence there are quite some waves in the sea. The swimming area is hence small. However the sand is fine, the restaurant in front of Troulis Apartments serves excellent food and drinks, and you can sleep to the sound of waves, not a bad deal at all! Be reminded to get your own bath products (or buy them at Amoudara) if you stay here. We expected this since it is not a hotel. Maria is kind enough to lend hair dryer to guests, as they are not provided in the rooms. The breakfast has moderate variety, but it was good enough for an awesome start to our day.

Breakfast was lovely, a buffet selection and even my fussy teenagers enjoyed the food. Coffee was great and a good selection available. Maria, Papa Troulis and,Mama Troulis were usually around and made us feel very welcome. Papa Troulis shared his pomegranate with us. The hotel is right on the beach, literally 20 seconds from door to sunlounger. The resort is small and has just the right amount of Tavernas and shops. Everyone was so friendly. There is a hop on hop off bus into Heraklion and around the town which is perfect for sight seeing and shopping and the hotel is perfectly placed to catch it

Sea view room was stunning. Beach is good, beach bar is not expensive, there are always free sunbeds. Bus stop is 1 minute walk from the apartment and you can get to city centre in 20mins. Breakfast is okay also. Maria, the owner, gave us complementary olive oil after we checked out.

There was some strange industrial fan like sound at night.

All is very very nice, unbelievable. Marija in reception was very polite, nice and helpful. Vila is 10 meters from beach, they have a restaurant with very good food on the beach and their sunbeds. I enjoyed and recommend this place. 50 meters is the bus station to go to Heraklion. No mistakes if you select this place.

To be honest I am trying to find what I did not like :-) even breakfast is delicious and the staff is nice, maybe the breakfast table can be bigger with more choices :-) for example, i missed zucchini pie, some croissants or other bakery items and Greek coffee :-)

Really great spot in Ammoudara for people travelling alone, not with big tour operators. It is clean, near the sea, with beautiful view from the balcony. The breakfast was really great and with local products what I value a lot. Parking is big and there is no problem with it. Bus stop with buses to the Heraklion center is close, walking distance. Some good taverns are in this area as well. But the biggest value of the Troulis Apartments are people, the very friendly, helpful and cooperative staff. When coming back to Ammoudara, I will choose it again.

Very nice, pleasant hotel with Maria as an excellent hostess as well as the very friendly staff. Top location directly on the beach, everything you need (supermarkets, bus stop, cab stand, motorcycle rental, restaurants, stores and much more) is within walking distance. Very good breakfast, everything is abundantly available. For parting there was a small bottle of excellent homemade olive oil as a gift. All highly recommended and thank you very much for the pleasant stay!

The apartment was as described, everything was good. The room and the bathroom are small. For one person absolutely sufficient, for two people over a longer period too small. Better to book the larger unit.

The hotel was 1 minute walk from the beach & restaurant, and less than 5 minutes walk from the High street! Breakfast was included in the price and it was delicious! Rooms very clean, cleaned every day, bathroom and shower were small, but not a big issue. Aircon in the rooms was very useful. All staff was friendly, Maria was a lovely host, always available for help, she also provided us with a map and suggestions for places to visit in Crete!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Troulis Seaside, and I can't say enough good things about it. The location was perfect, exactly at the beach. Very quiet place, very clean. Every day the room was cleaned and the towels changed. It is the perfect place to relax with your family. The owner is very nice and helpful ❤️ The location is 15 minutes from Heraklion airport, which was a big plus for us, being with 2 children. The beach in front of the location is very beautiful, airy and furnished with umbrellas and sunbeds. Absolutely all the staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is tasty but not very varied. For us it was not a problem. The location was perfect for relaxation

it would have helped us to have a stove where we could heat the children's snacks. But overall, we managed like this.

As a professional hospitality guy myself, I simply appreciate the personal attention. Assett management is needed. Kitchens in the rooms are better removed, they are not needed. Water boiler and fridge are enough. The infrastructure like the hotel's outsourced restaurant (the wave) is by far better than looking for markets.
