Overall I had a good stay and would recommend The Vault. The location is great, in a vibrant area, the room was perfectly comfortable and the en suite was nicely done. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although breakfast is served in your room I found this worked well and it was quite a nice personal touch when it arrived. Coffee machine in the room a nice bonus.

The hotel does feel that it lacks a central area - breakfast is served in your room. Although nicely decorated the building shows evidence of its age - eg, defunct aircon system still in place, despite a (good) new system also being there. Some furniture a little basic - eg, open-frame clothes hanger rather than a wardrobe. Not a problem for me, but just good to be aware.

- Staff went the extra mile to help when I needed it. Unfortunately, I was ill from the moment I arrived in Athens. I requested an early check in so I can rest. The team made it their priority to make the room available as early as possible. - I could hear the elevator through the walls of my room every time someone used it - No lounge or sitting area to pass the time before check in or after check out - I hung the do not disturb sign on the door from the moment I arrived, but the staff knocked on my door at least once a day, entered and cleaned my room despite the sign being on the door(!) and one time even woke me up at 07:30am with room service which was meant for another room

Great location for exploring Athens! So close to all the restaurants, bars, cafe and sights. The room itself was nice and had everything we needed although I think the cleaning staff may have been a little rushed we checked as the wine glasses were used and dirty when we checked in but only a small problem, no big deal. The staff were very friendly and informative and let us check in slightly early as we arrived before official check in which was nice of them. It was a great location and hotel for exploring Athens

We had a great stay at the Vault, everything exceeded our expectations! Our room was big and spacious, decorated with a very nice and modern taste and with all the amenities needed (Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, toiletries, hair blow dryer, etc.). I can't speak highly enough about the location, all the main attractions of the city center were walking distance from the hotel. Plus, the parking at Klafthmonos Square served us in the best possible way with our rented car (5 mins walk from the hotel). Overall, a great experience!

Nothing that I can think of

The location is at the center of the city and close to many tourist attractions. Even though we had some little malfunctions (the door and window onto the internal courtyard of a room were a bit difficult to close), and during the night there was some noise from the bar downstairs, our stay was perfect. As requested, we were able to have a room that was facing the inner courtyard and that was completely silent. All the 3 rooms were really clean and extremely comfortable in terms of spaces. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Thank you for helping us and fulfilling our requests!

I liked the fact that the hotel is in the center (and pretty close ) to every major touristic attraction. It takes approximately 20 minutes by foot to each of them. I also liked that you receive your breakfast at your room and you choose at what hour you wish to eat. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are very clean. The wifi signal is great.

It might be a personal preference, but I would've liked to have a window from where you can see outside. Given that you don't usually stay too much in the room, it was fine overall.

The host was fabulous - super helpful. The location was incredibly central and yet not in the thick of the nightlife. The church bells and the neighboring buildings gave off a noisy feeling but it's really just getting adjusted to city life ( I am a country mouse...).

Not much could have been better - its a very charming building. I had an interior view which was of fire escapes and ventilations ducts but I think it miht have been quieter than having a street view )

Location is wonderful, the room as quite big and very clean. Also the staff had always water for me, and the people are very friendly. The hallways and the rooms were kept always clean and tidy, and overall the experience was quite good! The surroinding area is quite nice, full of nice café, beautiful concept stores, great stores and nice shipping experience overall. Also the location is quite central, so walking everywhere you need works perfectly.

The breakfast is sadly quite simple, is super cool that they serve it on the room; but the selection is poor. If you are okay with that go ahead booking it. I personally stop asking for the breakfast and looked for a place nearby as I am really a breakfast person, I need a good rich breakfast to start the day. Also the hotel is not well isolated agaisnt sound, there is a bar/club in front, which is quite loud; I had to use earplugs every night to be able to sleep.

Excellent location at the centre of the city, easy to find and close to metro stations. Large beautiful room with very nice matress and big tv. Free coffee/espresso/americano included for the day to start. Very nice reception staff, quick check in and last day after check out, they looked after our luggage. Exactly nearby is small bakery, next to it a pizza place and opposite a cool bar. The street that goes down full of new and interesting places. Central Athens has changed a lot.

I did not like the homeless people that lived exactly opposite and also nearby and almost everywhere in the city. People live on the streets and noone cares. At around one o clock at night, view from room at the street: some young people were siting on a bench drinking alcohol, few others next were eating pizza and exactly next to them a homeless man was sleeping.

Location was very good. Right in the heart of the city centre. Daily cleaning of the room and change of towels. Quick and easy check in and check out. Price was very low and fair for what you get. If you want a central, clean and comfy room for a cheap price that's your place

Very bad smell at the reception (needs good ventilation). Some guys in the room next to us were smoking weed. No one was at the reception to handle this. No water in the mini bar and no toiletries in the bathroom.
