Perfect location right on the harbour front. It was lovely to wake up to that beautiful view of the sea and the Egyptian lighthouse. All the staff were exceptional but Ramona and George in particular were so helpful and couldn’t have taken better care of us - they made our stay. The breakfasts were also amazing. We would definitely stay there again.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but, being really picky, the bathroom in the standard suite was a little on the small side and we didn’t really use the little lounge area on the mezzanine level so that was wasted space for us in a room with quite a small footprint, although the lofted ceiling made it feel more spacious. Generally the hotel - an historic building - was beautifully designed and sympathetically renovated.

We just returned from 4 nights at the Domus Renier, a boutique hotel on the Venetian harbor in Chania. It’s a stunning hotel, dreamy views, very comfortable bed with quality bed linens, a pristine bathroom, rain head shower with handheld, and a fantastic breakfast menu made to order. I believe their greatest strength however is their exceptional customer service. The staff is incredibly welcoming and dedicated to fulfilling all of your needs as a guest. I was sad leaving, because we were honestly treated like family. Enormous respect and gratitude to charming George, who served us breakfast with a smile every morning, Ramona who couldn’t be more lovely and generous, sweet Sundy always making sure we were happy, the warm and welcoming General Manager and the hotel owner whose hospitality was exceptional. Thank you all!!! We would go back to Domus Renier without hesitation! We loved every moment of our stay 🫶

Everything about this hotel is special. The room that we stayed in was beautiful (very interesting architecture being on the top of the hotel, with a private balcony overlooking the small harbour), extremely comfortable beds, with beautiful soft white linens, towels, and bathrobes, spotlessly clean and excellent AC. It was very large as well. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and provided very high level service. They were all happy to spend time with us also making recommendations and helping us with planning. We especially loved the breakfast which was a la carte and met everyone’s needs. It was absolutely delicious and presented in a beautiful way as well. The restaurant in the hotel ‘Zepos’ was excellent as well! And the owner of the property (a lovely woman) warmly greeted us each day we were there. The location is in the heart of the bustling pedestrian area which was great (as long as you like that) but our room was completely soundproof and was truly an oasis to be in. (Wifi was great too!) We would highly recommend this hotel and we hope to be back again!

We were visiting Chania for our 34th wedding anniversary and chose the hotel because of the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We particularly appreciated the lengths they went to in order to make sure there were gluten free options available. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of choices. The view from our room was amazing. The manager Evangelia and her team are genuinely warm and helpful and informative and they made our holiday very special. Special thanks to George for meeting us at the taxi drop off on our arrival and escorting us to the hotel. We hope to return. Could not recommend more highly.

The view from our suite is unforgettably stunning. Breakfast was great and service was attentive and genuine. We had really good restaurant recommendations and ideas of what to do in Chania during our short stay here. It will be hard to come back to Chania without staying at this hotel again!

Aircon didn’t work as expected on the first night. We found the place a little stuffy without it even in the winter, but this could be because we came from the tropics.

The accommodations are splendid and everyone is so very helpful. We loved everything about it and the breakfast was phenomenal with plenty of options one more delicious than the other. We also enjoyed the grandmother’s mussaka at Zapos which is a revelation. The view of the Old Port is spectacular. We enjoyed people watching, eating the delicious food and cocktails. We admire the hands on management style and charm of Litsa Paraskevaki that is unequaled.

Outstanding service with concierge, very professional, recommended wonderful restaurants and places to visit, accommodations very clean, comfortable, amazing breakfasts!

Our room was too close to a restaurant, would have lighting in room until around 2 am even with room darkening blinds. Noise was not a factor, sometimes cooking smells would waft up so could not really open windows, minor issues for us.

Location and view from our window over the harbour was beautiful. Staff was very helpful. The room was small but well designed and interior decor was superior.

We were on the second floor and the room was very noisy until late hours. Hard to sleep. They advertised that there was no parking onsite, but what they didn't specify is that the hotel is in a pedestrian only area and you can't even pull up to drop off luggage. It was extremely difficult to find parking in the area indicated. We got lucky after circling for a while. Fortunately, we only had carry on luggage and it was fine to walk to the hotel once we parked. For us it was worth it, but better to be forewarned.

The staff was so helpful, cheerful and thoughtful. We had some special requests and needs and they came through with everything. Beautiful and generous breakfast in a lovely courtyard. Hotel owner Litsa was delightful. We got some excellent guidance on restaurants, local shops and excursions. We had a pre-dawn departure and they made us breakfast boxes to go. We just can’t say enough about the staff and service here.

Great location and in the centre of old town Chania. The room has great facilities and was very clean. The staff were so lovely and were great a their recommendations for the best Greek food! Their restaurant downstairs is also amazing if you wanted to have lunch or dinner close to your room. The daily breakfast was amazing, a great spread and amazing value for money.
