We returned from staying in the Marika hotel last week. Firstly it lovely and clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are modern and spacious. Its in an excellent location on the seafront & also surrounded by restaurants, shops, doctors, car hires, bus stops etc! We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet had a good variety including cereals, breads, eggs, meat, fruits, spreads, cakes. Not as lavish as other hotel breakfasts but there was something for everyone and it was nice to have something to set us up for the day.

The rooms are clean and modern however we stayed in an apartment (room 80) & the glass door on the toilet was not full size so it didn’t feel private and the sink was on the outside. Bit if a bizarre setup! However we had family stay in a sea view deluxe room and a hottub room, both of which had normal private bathrooms so must only be in the apartments.

- I would cover hot meals to keep them from cooling down so quickly - especially sausages and scrambled eggs. - swimming pool table could be clean more often - i think that swiming pool could be clean more often

Hotel was very comfortable and location was superb. Beach and city both right next to you! Easy access to all restaurants and shopping plus all tour operators and excursions. Our room was on top floor so it was quiet and ac was a must! First floor rooms did not seem to have much privacy although some had private jacuzzi. I would prefer upper floor rooms for more quiet stay!

Beds were separated and kept sliding apart in the night. Toilet had a glass wall which was fine for us but might be very uncomfortable for some. Also door did not close properly. If either went to toilet in the night and turned on the light in toilet, the whole room was light due to glass wall. Not very convenient!

Everything was perfect. The location of the hotel, near the beach and many many restaurants and shops. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a bar, all with great food and drinks. Cleaning is made daily and the towels and bedsheets changed about every 2 Days. We stayed in a Room with jacuzzi and was nice, but it is not heated and the balcony gets much shade so the water was kinda cold, so keep this in mind. The room has a small kitchenette which was handy. The hotel has 2 small pools but we didn’t use them. The sunbeds by the pool are free and the ones from the beach are 7 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. We apreciated that we found in our Room some chocolates and a bottle of wine

Maybe the breakfast could be changed a little bit more during the week. We stayed one week and we got bored with the same food every day. But it was really good

We enjoyed our stay at the Marika Hotel and especially loved the great location with a bus stop right across the street, many great restaurants and bars but also directly on the beach. The pool areas were very nice, but I was disappointed that they didn't serve any food or drinks. You had to go to the beach bar but were not allowed to bring anything to your sunbed. The room was very modern and spacious and the bed was comfortable. We used the little kitchenette for making coffee and an afternoon snack prep and the cleaning staff washed our dishes even if they normally don't do that. Unfortunately, there was one incident where we found broken glass on the balcony and I stepped into it. The staff at the reception made sure to get it cleaned up quickly and we were also compensated appropriately. The breakfast was good with some local options like feta cheese, olives, greek yogurt but it could have been even better with some fresh juices, pancakes and maybe some more fruit options (they only had oranges and kiwi) All in all, we had a great time and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing week on Crete!

Room doors had a glass section that led through a lot of light so it was hard to sleep. We covered this with some bed sheets. The staff at the beach bar had a strange attitude and were not very welcoming. Maybe they were tired of guests at the end of the season.

The hotel is excellent. Clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating at the waves restaurant, the food was really good, we liked the fish of the day and the pork chop the best. It's a really peaceful accommodation, the breakfast on the terrace is magical with the view. It was our second time here and we would like to come back in the future. Thank you for everything ❤️

The price and location were very attractive. Nice parking space, the cleaning service was very amazing.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was literally boring, everyday served exactly the same food. Lack of olive oil in Greece on the table - big disappointment. The restaurant was good but everything was frozen even the soups.

The room was superb. Comfortable bed, great shower, amazing view from the terrace... The staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall it was an excellent experience.

The breakfast can be improved. It would be nice if the coffee machines weren't turned off immediately at the end of breakfast hour.

Excellent location, close to many shops and restaurants but still fairly quiet (plus access to the beach and possibility to self-park for free). Breakfast was fine, not super exciting but fresh and with enough options. The staff was friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Room was nice, clean and well equipped. Common areas, including pool, were nice and clean as well.

The wifi was a bit spotty, especially at night. Also, not exactly a problem but it wasn’t very clear how to indicate that towels didn’t need to be changed, so we ended up with fresh towels most days.

The hotel had a very good location being right on the seafront. It had good facilities including 2 nice pools. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Would recommend.
