The host and the staff were absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect for the walk along the sea or around the area. The apartment was spotless clean. A/C's in each room. The restaurant area where we had our breakfast is really nice and cozy.

Our apartment was quite small. The shower curtain is not long enough, so the floor around gets wet. Though it's quite usual for Greece as I noticed in other locations as well :). Can be noisy at night as hotel is located by the street where you could hear loud transport passing by. It's not too loaded but I was woken up twice during the night though I am a good sleeper.

Highly recommend this family run hotel and restaurant just off the town square in Georgioupolis. The room and bathroom were more than adequate for our needs together with a small outside balcony. The room was serviced everyday except on Sunday. Just along the corridor was a large shared balcony which we also made use of of. Sophia and her mother were there to greet you at breakfast and very friendly. The food in their family restaurant was excellent.

We stayed for 9 nights and by the end the offerings for breakfast were getting a little boring as they did not change at all. Perhaps the addition of a toaster for guests to use would have been welcome and perhaps the option to have eggs served differently would have been appreciated.

This was our second visit to The Riverside Hotel and we had a great holiday in Georgiopoli Which was made possible by the care and attention by our hosts Maria and Sofia. Located a few meters from the main square and a stones throw from the beach and port it is an ideal place to stay. Attached to a fabulous family run restaurant it is definite return for us.

The hotel is situated in the city center, the rooms are clean, beds are comfy, breakfast was great. The lady helping with breakfast and the cleaning lady were very nice and helpful.

I would have appreciated mosquito nets at the window/ balcony. it was very hot and we did not use the AC, as it was directed towards the bed.

The breakfast was lovely a nice selection off food and the location was perfect as it’s right next to the fishing Harbour and to get to the beach was only 5 minute walk

The WiFi was not very good , but was nice to be disconnected as we all spend way to much time on our phones

Charming family-run hotel with friendly atmosphere and excellent service. 1 min walk to the town square, 2 min walk to the beach. Vety clean and fantastic food.,

The bed is not very comfortable, and the shower is very small with a curtian, not shower-walls.

The hotel rooms are next to / above the family restaurant and super close to the beach (a stone throw away). The staff is amazing and always so helpful. We really felt looked after and at ease here. There is air con and a tv in the room. We also had a small balcony in our room into the backyard, with a table and chairs, and a clothes rack.

The rooms’ soundproofing isn’t great but that’s typical for a building like this. if you are a light sleeper, I would advise to bring some ear plugs! as long as people know to be respectful and try not to be loud it’s alright. had to tell off people a couple of times for stalling in in the hallway talking loudly. The bathroom is of a good size but the shower “cubicle” is small and with a fabric curtain (rather than doors/walls). it’s very easy to get water everywhere but there is a drain hole on the bathroom floor, in addition to the one in the shower, so just consider it a wet room.

The first time I stopped with my boyfriend last summer and everything was great, the second time my mom went here and everything was just as great. Sophie is always ready to help, they were very friendly and very helpful and kind .

The family who run the hotel are very welcoming and attentive, always greeting in the morning with a warm smile and happy to chat to guests. The hotel is very clean, in good condition, and very close to the square and the beaches.

Our room was clean and comfortable, staff was really friendly. Location is great, few minutes from the beach, aslo good starting point to visit west side of Crete. Breakfast was good, but can be more diverse.
