A pleasant hotel with a nice pool, located right by the beach. It's close to the center of Kissamos, where you'll find shops, restaurants, and cafes. The room was nice and clean with a sea view. This hotel is an ideal base for trips to Elafonisi and Balos beaches. We recommend taking a boat trip to Balos and Gramvousa. The check-in and check-out process was very simple. There's a shower room near the pool and the peacefulness of the property is a big advantage.

The place is lovely, staff were very chatty and attentive. It's over the road from a great beach and great tavernas where the food is stunning right on the beach. Nearby is the old town, less than ten minutes walk to nearest shops. And you have to go to the the Great Greek Cook out. A taverna tucked away in a side street, great Greek buffet, music, plate breaking and learn some greek dancing. Brilliant atmosphere. The pool at the apartments is lovely.

The door lock failed twice, but to their credit they were straight up there to sort it. They could do with some more cutlery in the kitchen, like knives for preparing salads and a breadboard

Close to beach 100m close to town 5 min walk bus station a bit of a hike but they kindly gave me a lift on my departure which saved a bit of a long walk with my suitcase over uneven roads and paths….bus to Chania about an hour and approximately 4.70 euro one way, there is a central bus stop outside Balos travel for Chania bus, clean accommodation, comfortable, reasonably convenient (I was travelling without a car) The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful, the rooms are kept very clean with fresh towels and linen and it has a lovely pool if it is too windy on the beach for you. Breakfast is provided by the pool but at an additional cost. Kissamos can be a bit tricky with no car but it’s very doable….really nice little town, welcoming to tourists and not overdone it still has its personality. It’s quiet and I needed quiet. Easy to book tours - there are a number of companies offering this service - to go and visit places nearby eg Balos Beach, Elafonissi Beach, Samaria Gorge. There are a number of tavernas along the bay a short walk from CB. Best beach within walking distance was Mavros Molos and I went down the end near the Nautilus Hotel, it’s a sheltered bay, clean water, safe swimming, sandy and not too rocky.

….place has it’s quirks - balconies are defs not about privacy lol, WiFi can be tricky and the hot water and water pressure for the shower has a mind of its own….kitchenette is basic but functional….fridge handy….

When we booked a stay in Crete we were debating about whether to go to Kissamos or a busier town and when we decided on Kissamos we chose Crystal Bay out of a 5 hotel shortlist due to proximity to the beach but it’s the best decision we have ever made. We arrived at 10pm and was greeted by Katerina on reception who showed us up to our room and explained how everything worked. She also gave us some recommendations for food and drinks for that night. Over the 10 nights we were there, she must have saved us about €100 from tips and recommendations and we can’t thank her enough. For a hotel that is branded “cheap and cheerful” it is certainly cleaner and more luxurious than some 4/5 star resorts I have been to in the past. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our 10 nights in Kissamos.

1. Beautiful location, with access to the sea, but at the same time, it is close to the city center. 2. Pleasant staff 3. It is cleaned daily. 4. Good sound insulation between rooms.

1. Wifi is too slow. It's almost unusable. 2. Hot water loses pressure, sometimes nothing even flows from the shower. That's why we mostly showered with cold water, because we couldn't wait for the hot water to run out. 3. The fence on the balconies is made of glass and there are no partitions between the apartments, so people avoid staying on them when the "neighbors" are on the balcony. 4. One thing that is not directly related to the object, but to the location and the municipality of Kisamoss. Every night there was a great noise of motorcycles from the beach, where teenagers gather at night and have fun on motorcycles. This is especially pronounced on weekends, when the noise lasts until 2-3 am.

The hotel is very nice, well located (near to some restaurants and the center of Kissamos). There is a nice pool, balcony and air conditioning. The staff is also very nice. You can find plenty of parking spots in front of the building. I forgot a jacket in the room and I noticed it only after some days. The staff promptly delivered it to my home address.

Just a minor thing, the room was not cleaned every day.

Great location, close to the beach and the restaurants. The price-performance ratio is awesome, you get everything you need. The staff was kind and it was no issue to stay an extra night!

The beds were comfortable but I had to change the pillow since it was too hard. The pool is faced east, so there is no sun in the evening - but no big deal for early birds :)

It matches the description. I was not aware the center of Kissamos was a little bit distant but of course doable on foot (less than 10 mins) Some of the roads near the hotel are not perfect

The staff was exceptional, gave us a really warm feeling from the beginning, always willing to help, even offering us the equipment (such as sun umbrella, bottle of water, fresh coffee, cold beer, room for luggage, ... you name it). And the pool - always available with shade next to the bar, and a neat bathroom next to it).

We would love to see some extra shelves in the bathroom, to put off cosmetics and stuff

kissamos is a beautiful town where you can relax and have peace even in the highest season. The hotel is very close both to the center and the beach. The rooms are nice and cleaned every day

The staff is not very helpful. We got to know there was a bar for the costumers only during the check out
