The staff were exceptionally helpful and warm. The bed was very comfortable. Free pick up and drop off from the airport. Beautiful views from the breakfast area. Lovely pool area with phenomenal views. Great value for money.

Location although it seems to be only 25-30 minutes walk from Mykonos town, the streets are unfortunately not pedestrianised so its not very safe to walk. Taxis from and to Mykonos town are very expensive (between 36-40 euros per way) for a 6-8 minutes journey. If you do have a car this is a wonderful property.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The setting is truly breathtaking, with views of the ocean from the pool, bar and restaurant. Every inch inside and out is clean and beautifully kept. Every member of staff is the loveliest, most helpful, warm kind of person you could hope to meet. It's close to the town without being in the hubbub. The breakfast is delicious and varied, and they even provided me with gluten free bread (without any advance warning - but I'd suggest you get in touch beforehand to let them know, I think I lucked out that there was another GF person there!) The room itself was so comfortable and beautiful! The bed was big and comfy, the shower had incredible water pressure and consistent temperature. Clean and pristine, I really can't fault it. It's a lovely walk to town (be aware it's steep hills/steps) and the most stunning location you could ask for. It feels incredibly safe for a solo traveller (although I was wary of walking home late alone, maybe overly cautious! If you feel the same, it's easy to arrange transfer or grab a taxi). The pool is beautiful, very well looked after and with an incredible scenic backdrop, as well as lovely seating areas around - sunbeds, sofas, restaurant bar, comfy bean bags... Everything you could dream of. If you're having any doubts put them away and book now!

If I absolutely HAD to say something as a teeny tiny drawback is that it could be a touch closer to beaches. There's a little beach within about a 20 minute walk, but more well-known, larger beaches are quite a way away. That being said, you can easily walk from the hotel/town to a lovely big beach within 1-2 hours, OR get the super convenient transfer (or they can help you book a taxi!) or hop on a bus, and you can be there within 20 minutes. Also worth pointing out that the walk back to the hotel from the town is very steep and very uphill. Not at all a problem for me, but it's good to know beforehand!

The cottages were beautiful. The surroundings and views are stunning and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The only negative part was that it is a 25/30 minute walk down to the main town and not a very nice walk due to uneven roads and cast driving quite fast. The price for a taxi is very expensive. The hotel provide their own shuttle service to and from the town but this is also expensive.

Met by the wonderful ViVi on reception - All aspects of the hotels amenities were explained and additional information for places to see/visit whilst on Mykonos island. The pool area was simply beautiful and boutique in style. The room was spotlessly clean and lots of additional extras - Quality Toiletries, Shaving kit, Iron & Board - the staff and owners Effie and Yannis were extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional, all went above and beyond to make our stay with them at Aletro Cottage Houses perfect.

The hotel is run by a sweet family. They were totally focused in our needs and offering every service or suggestion possible. Breakfast was super complete and delicious, all or almost all made by themselves. The service was a 10, since the reception and all the services they offer like the direct rental to the free transfer to the port or airport. Room was totally perfect, so mykonian, renovated but the essence was there and we really loved that Pool and bar/restaurant was delicious and totally recomendable. The location was perfect, not for the entire sunset but for the rest of the day, even night, is totally recomendable. Super quiet place, accesible and 20 mins away walking from Mykonos town. If you’re looking for a place to relax in the middle of this island with a full and gentile service, this is definitely your hotel, the owners know they really need to connect with people and offer a personal experience through all, so they really do that, and we loved every second spent in the hotel with them and the rest of the family and staff. Definitely coming back to this beautiful place with the beautiful souls.

Staff is amazing, so welcoming and we felt like we knew them and they knew us by the end of our stay. Super accommodating, collecting us from and returning us to the port free of charge. Pool area was gorgeous, cottage was super clean, plenty of towels and a little toiletry kit with shower cap etc was a nice touch. Plenty of shampoo etc was provided which was appreciated by this group of girls washing our hair every day!

Although it is well described by the property and par for the course in Mykonos, the hilly terrain is no joke. This isn’t a fault of Aletro’s of course but just know that the walk to Mykonos city is very steep (you need to be sure footed on the way down, and this group of women in our 20s didn’t even attempt to take the path back up), however Aletro provided the contact details of a transfer service who we could WhatsApp whenever we wanted to arrange drives back to the hotel which was a lifesaver!

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The facilities and pool were beautiful. The layout of the pool allowed for viewing of the sunset from the pool. Breakfast and the restaurant food were outstanding. The is free parking which was useful.

We needed a ride to the airport to pick up our rental car and assumed we could take the hotels airport shuttle service. We were frustrated when the hotel refused to take us to the airport in the shuttle as they said they only transported people Flying out. If I had known that I would have arranged to pick up the car when we landed. I expected a more flexible service from such a premium hotel.

The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. The airport transit to and from the hotel was also timely and efficient. It felt exactly like a cosy cottage with added luxury and comfortability and the sea view from the hotel was stunning. The hotel is also a walkable distance from Mykonos Town (though I would not recommend walking back up from the town to the hotel due to the hilliness) but it was located in the perfect spot and distance away from many of the most popular beach clubs and bars of Mykonos Island.

We were 3 guests in a room with a double bed and a sofa bed - I wish the sofa bed was a little less hard and more comfortable.

We simply loved Alerto, from its stone, its decor, the friendly and helpful staff, to its toothbrush, water in the refrigerator, and everything else you could possibly imagine. We felt very special. Especially the employees and the owner of the place is a woman. This means that everything is made by women's hands, down to the smallest detail. I thank them again through you. Mr. Erben

You don't have the ability to dislike something here

The staff were Lovely and very helpful. They were very accommodating and have a great attention to detail in all aspects of the hotel and service!

They very generously provide a free transfer to and from the airport and ferry port up until 9 pm , but taxis and transfers after this , and to go into Mykonos town , are generally quite costly otherwise.
