The staff is amazing and speaks good English. They also help to organize stuff and are very helpful. It is nicely designed and held quite clean.

The food was quite expensive and could be much better, especially for the price.

Transfers were handled by the hotel and were less cost than others paid. our flight was 50 minutes late and our driver was still waiting with a smile and sign in hand. The property was clean, for a jungle lodge with wildlife everywhere. staff was always attentive. one person walking by us asked if we wished to see a snake she had spotted. would never have got those pictures otherwise. food was fresh & delicious (minus the deserts). the ultimate bonus was being a 5 minute walk from the park entrance.

As an early riser I would have liked a couple more early hours of generator power. Not a major issue but required some planning to use my battery supply & recharge on their schedule. also would’ve appreciated a commissary with some basic items to make the jungle more tolerable (bug spray & nets, bite treatments, etc) as there is nothing else available anywhere near the resort. Also, a flashlight or headlamp would have been helpful. I’m glad I brought ours!

Lovely helpful staff, nice pool and very comfy beds. It’s great to be so close to Tikal, and the food was good value. Nixon, the guide arranged by the hotel, was fabulous.

Be aware that you must have a guide to go into Tikal for both the sunrise and sunset times. You also need to buy a ticket separately. This isn’t totally clear and the ticket office is 6km from the site. It is possible get a local to buy online , but you will probably end up paying a bit more. The hotel can arrange guides. Also be aware that whilst the day ticket says it’s up to 6pm, you actually need to leave the main site at 5pm, in order for you to be out by 6pm. Back to the hotel… It wasn’t a problem for me but there were a lot of families there with loud children.

Location is priceless. Staying within walking distance of Tikal was perfect especially for getting into the park for sunrise, coming back for breakfast and a break then returning. My kids also spent alot of time in the pool. The staff could not have been kinder. They were willing to do whatever they could do to make your stay better. The key chains for the room are the symbol of Tikal which are a cute little touch. Water is available in the lobby all the time.

The beds are not very comfortable. The restaurant staff spoke zero English so ordering meals was a bit challenging at times.

Just outside of Tikal. Provide shuttle from and to airport. I actually had electricity all night which I was worried according to other reviews. The front desk is very helpful and can provide many tours and service.

Buy Tikal ticket is very tricky which I didn't know. It's either from a website which only accepts Guatemalan credit card, or from local bank branches. If you arrived directly at Tikal very late that will be a huge problem. Though the hotel informed me that beforehand but I hope it could be earlier so I could prepare. I ended up letting my Antigua hotel book the online ticket for me with their local credit card.

We stayed in a bungalow, which was very comfortable. Good bed, good bathroom and lots of space. And they always have electricity for the fan, the light and to charge your phone. The swimming pool was great after a day in the ruins. The garden is really nice. Food at the restaurant was good, no need to go anywhere else. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm really happy we chose to stay here, right next to the park for at least 1 night instead of visiting on a daytrip from Flores!

We did a sunrise tour with a guide from another hotel because it was cheaper. Maybe the more expensive one Tikal Inn offers is better though, we don't know.

Location is great . Swimming pool is a good bonus. Good selection in the restaurant, with tasty food - particularly the garlic fist, pexcadp con ajillo. organized morning and sunset tours for 100 QTZ Overall, my best hotel experience - with roughly 350 $ paid for 3 nights with food. Not bad, for a great location and good hotel. Needless to say: 95 percent of tourists were North American and European, who can afford it.... If you want to get it cheaper, stay in Flores and come in with the public bus service. Last bus back is at 5:30 PM, around sunset... But you miss out the great jungle location , good swimming pool, closeness to Tikal NP.

The electroicity interrupted service is a disturbance, but I think they have to do what they are told - in a National Park. For the price, offering "breakfast included" with room reservation would be fair. Still, I has most of my breakfast and dinner, and sometimes my lunch in the restaurant. Service was polite, accommodating, prices were fair - although not cheap.

Perfectly located at the entrance of the Tikal park (maybe 2-3 minutes walking), with nice staff and beautiful and refreshing pool. Beds in the room have mosquito nets. At night you can hear howler monkeys roaring, it's very unique experience. Because of great location, we were able to enter Tikal at 6 am and see sunrise from Templo II (sun coming out behind Templo I). Location also gives you opportunity to stay in the park after the most of groups are gone. Food in hotel is also good. Tickets should be bought in advance, before comming to hotel, because there aren't any options for purchase inside the park.

Maybe uncomfortable bed, nothing else.

Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast. They did our laundry too, and that worked great. We appreciate that they upgraded us to a garden room which featured had flowers and critters in the garden. They supply mosquitos nets too. A big plus was the guide they arranged for us was fantastic, named Nixon. So knowledgeable and genuine.

We knew ahead of time that the power was only on a few hours a day (not unlike the rest of the world) and the wifi was weak. We had a table lamp that was broken and we told staff to no effect. The Jungle Lodge nearby is much nicer and had power on but of course it was more expensive. Sadly the walls in Tikal Inn are so thin that when our neighbors showered it was so noisy that at first I genuinely thought it was howler monkeys! The hotel says they offer drinking water but 90% of the time the water was “still filtering, come back in 20 minutes “. We ended up buying water.

This is unbeatable for proximity to Tikal, you can walk right from your room directly into the ruins. I liked that they had a pool, even if it was too cold to swim during my stay. The wildlife comes into the grounds of the hotel and the food in the cafeteria area was fairly good.

My room was further from the pool than some of the other bungalows, it seems like the bungalows closest to the pool were able to access the Wifi from the lobby, which would have been helpful for me as I was staying alone.
