Our stay at st george hotel was excelent. Our key was left at reception, which was very convenient. The room was big, the beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. The shower had good water pressure. It had a fan that was really good for us at night. Add needed breeze. The breakfast was realy good and was brought to the door

The stairs are really small. When youre on the top floor, its not easy. Especially with suitcases. Also, i needed the staff, and they were never there. Left a phone number but didnt provide a phone. Dont assume everyone has one. Didnt see them once! Not even when we left.

Loved the friendly staff. Walking distance from port. Location was perfect for accessing buses to head out on excursions around the island. Room had a good amount of storage to allow me to put my things away. Great hot shower. Excellent access to tea and milk. Working kettle. Working TV. Lots of tourist brochures in reception area for you to take. Really well thought out folder with information in rooms. Breakfast was perfect (cereal, croissant, fruit and yogurt). Dog friendly!

Mattress was a little worn down / soft. Curtains weren't blackout, needed sleeping mask. Quite noisy at night. I was quite lucky, I generally knackered myself out so much during the day it didn't bother me too much.

The location: It's about ten minutes' walk to the town centre. Flat and along the main road. The room: Mine was a single room. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet (once my neighbours stopped slamming their door!) The room was clean and well-designed.

I've never stayed at a place where I never met any staff. It's a self-check-in, breakfast in little baskets left outside the door in the morning, and check-out was also "self-serve". To me, it just felt a bit unusual, but if you're the sort of person who really likes to talk with the host, get local knowledge, discuss travel options etc, then it might not suit. Having said that, I had a few interactions with the host over the Booking.com app and those were all polite, helpful and friendly.

Very clean, location is great for the price, the intro brochure was very informative for people who dont know the island. The breakfast baskets were a real treat! Fresh fruit, yoghurts, croissants, jam and cereal outside your door at 8am every morning! A real treat! Slept amazingly, no noise from outside or other guests. decorated very nicely, met the owner and he was very friendly and really seemed to care. The staff working there were all happy! Lovely place! My family are all local and they’d said it had been done up and they’d heard good things! Did not disappoint! Would highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing!

Location great, I walked to & from town Centre rather than the bus as it was only about 15-20mins. Room very clean & very comfortable bed & pillows. I had a room with a view which was lovely. Breakfast hamper delivered each morning was really good & I loved being able to look at the view whilst having my breakfast. Easy to do self checkin & lots of tourist brochures available.

Nothing I didn’t like. Toiletries were provided but it was the one wash for both hair & body which I’m finding is the norm here (as a traveller from Australia, most overseas places provide separate hair & body washes) it didn’t worry me as I always have my own shampoo & conditioner. What was provided smelled really nice though 😁

It was very clean and the room was well maintained throughout our stay.The bed was comfortable and we were able to replenish items ourselves such as tea and coffee from the reception area. Nice view of the bay from the room’s window.

There were roadworks outside the property ( which obviously can’t be helped) at the time of our stay but luckily they weren’t too noisy. There is traffic noise but at this time of the year we didn’t need the windows open at night so we weren’t disturbed early morning- that could be different in the summer.

The Hotel St. Georges is located directly on the coastal road. In the immediate vicinity is a local brewery and one of the best Chinese restaurants (Red China). Groceries can be purchased at a supermarket (Co-Coperation) about 100 m from the hotel. The hotel is an old building. The rooms are functionally furnished and clean. The bathroom with shower was newly equipped. We had a room facing the inner courtyard. So it was very quiet. Moreover, the inner courtyard invites you to linger and catch your breath after a beautiful hike along the coastal path. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast came in a nice little basket and included croissants, jam, butter, fresh fruit, cereal, cornflakes and fresh milk. The historic city centre is about 15 minutes walk away and is beautiful. The small coffee bar in the centre above the sports shop makes a wonderful coffee. And .... you have to visit Herm Island .... There are beautiful landscape and beaches are there

There was only one minor problem with the towel change. But a short exchange about this with the host solved this quickly.

We were staying there to take part in the Guernsey Ultra and it was perfect in terms of location as we were a 5 minute walk from the starting point. The breakfast left every morning was such a nice touch and the rooms were cleaned daily. The little sun trap was great to enjoy your coffee in the morning or a drink at night. Bars and restaurants are a short walk away as is the bus terminus. It was ideal for the long weekend trip we had. The rooms are a little small but have everything you need :)

We liked the nice breakfast found in front of our door every morning. The hotel has an inside terrace where we can take our breakfast or lunch... We enjoyed seeing the sea from our beds! The hotel is very well located at a 10 mn walk only from downtown.

We wished it were mentioned in the welcome booklet that there are a Chinese and Italian restaurants very close to the hotel. Moreover they offer take-away meals which is convenient when you arrive late...

Cost, location, hot water heater for tea/coffee, breakfast baskets, Information binder, area resource information (Tours, things to do in and around the area, bus schedules), ease of getting to bus stop, and most of all the friendly morning staff. I also liked that other guests respected the need to be quiet in the evenings. Rather than a hotel or guest house it felt more like a dorm room…one can hear everyone coming and going and even talking in their rooms. I was out a lot so It met my needs for a place to rest.

I had trouble with my shower water staying on…kept having to press the button. The keys to the room doors are Sloped walkway and dark stairways, awkward to use and makes too much noise trying to open and close. Bathroom was small but modern, main room looked dated. I smiled when I saw the flat screen TV which was advertised. It is smaller than my home computer screen, someone was smoking on or around property. With the window opened the smell wafted in. I e fed up closing my window.
