The hotel has beautiful views across the bay to Fort Grey. The restaurant is lovely with views from nearly all tables and there is a large terrace where we spent an enjoyable afternoon in the sunshine enjoying a few drinks. We also ate in the restaurant 2 nights, with lovely meals on both occasions. The hotel has a lounge area, a residents bar where we found someone to chat to each evening, and the hotel is nicely decorated with lots of paintings by local artists on the walls. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and lots of fresh local products. The bus stop directly outside with a comprehensive range of buses stopping there with routes into St Peter Port and round the coast to other parts of the island is a real bonus. We used it instead of our hire car one afternoon so we could enjoy an afternoon in town and an early evening meal in the harbour before catching the last bus back at 8.35pm (later buses on Friday and Saturday) The Pleinmont kiosk a short stroll from the hotel was another gem, with its sheltered garden, drinks, cakes and local ice creams. While before arrival I was concerned that we would regret not having paid more to stay in town, this proved to be unfounded, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return again, although next time we will book much earlier so we can have a sea view room (last minute booking to attend a funeral on the island on this occasion)

The room could have done with a few more coat hangers, 2 each for a 4 night stay is a bit stingy particularly when there is a good sized closet where far more could be hung. My pillows were a little thin, and it would be nice to see the hotel upgrade their towels which were a little thin and well used, better ones would be more in keeping with quality of other aspects of the hotel, but everything was clean and for the price in comparison to many other hotels we thought it was really excellent.

Gem of a hotel with great views from the restaurant and terrace and some of the bedrooms. We added an extra night after our original booking and thought we would have to change rooms but an efficient member of the reception team sorted this so we didn't have to move. Bus stop directly outside with regular buses.

Rooms are a tiny bit dated and could do with a little more TLC to bring them up to scratch to match the quality of the restaurant etc, New pillows, towels, a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom, and a mirror nearer a plug socket would make it more of a boutique hotel, but then it would probably cost more too! So we were happy with what we got for our money. It just felt like it could be improved with a little bit more investment, and a few more coat hangers!

The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking Rocquaine Bay in Guernsey. Our room was very spacious with a perfect outlook. Staff were welcoming and went the extra mile to make a special birthday even more special. The restaurant has a wonderful outlook and the breakfasts and dinners were a really good standard and generous in their portions. The hotel is situated in a perfect location for walking, and exploring the island with parking and a very frequent bus service outside.

A minor issue, but the public bar (on the opposite side of the hotel), served by the hotel. It was noisy and took priority over the hotel lounge. One evening we had to use it as the lounge was closed. Didn’t feel friendly. It’s a shame it’s attached!

Location was brilliant, Views from the bedroom were spectacular. Room was very roomy. Decent walk in shower and toiletries. Breakfast was good. Room was serviced every day tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits were topped up each day. There were several buses locally running to town and airport as well as round the coast with frequent journeys and cheap fares. What we love about the beaches in Guernsey is that they all seem to be serviced by little kiosks and Rocquaine / Portelet beach is no exception with excellent crab sandwiches, drinks and ice creams

There was nothing we did not like apart from the weather could have been better!

Having booked through Booking.com we weren't expecting a room with a balcony or a view, we had both! With those and a king size bed we were delighted! The room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of drinks and biscuits included. We stayed for 3 nights and each morning we were greeted at breakfast and shown to our table. There was a good buffet selection of cereals, pastries, fruit and yogurts also fruit juices. From the menu, I selected a Smoothie Bowl, there were several flavours with granola and seeds, fresh and delicious! My husband chose the Full English which was well cooked. We also had toast and preserves and as much tea or coffee as we liked. The view from the restaurant was stunning! All the staff were friendly and welcoming! We had lunch at the hotel, there was plenty on the menu to choose from and what we had was well cooked and delicious!

Our room was close to the air conditioning unit which was quite noisy at times though it did go off during the night. I put out a hand towel to be washed on the first morning and it wasn't replaced though we did end up with 2 bath mats!. On the second morning, I put out the other hand towel and a bath mat, neither was replaced so I had to find someone to ask for 2 hand towels. A small thing but attention to detail needs to be addressed.

I booked this hotel at the last minute after fog cancelled my flight. I wasn't really expecting much as I had just chosen the first place on the app that had availability. But I was really impressed. Firstly, the location - the evening I arrived it was obviously fogged in and impossible to see anything. The following morning the weather had cleared and the beauty of the location was clear - it's right across the road from the beach, a five-minute walk to Fort Grey, loads of swimming, rock pooling, beach-walking opportunities. The staff were welcoming and let me order a last-minute room service dinner. The burger was adequate (I wouldn't say excellent) but it was brought up quickly. The room was great - a good size, comfy bed, good-sized bathroom and reliable shower (so relieved to finally have a hotel shower where the door actually prevents the water from going all over the floor). I had thought when I walked into the hotel through the bar that I would find my room noisy but it wasn't bad at all, and it was completely quite by about 11pm. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

I had to wait a little while for someone to come to reception when I first arrived. They all seemed busy in the restaurant. I couldn't see a bell on the desk - perhaps that would be good for future.

The location was very good. The Bay was just outside the hotel. Also the possibility to have a bus station at the opposite is very good, you do not need a car and can just jump on the bus. The staff was very friendly and the interior was nice.

Now, that is just my opinion, as I am as well for the half of my life in hospitality (most 4 stars or higher). I do have another opinion about cleanliness. The room has carpet, which was not looking clean and also was not vacuumed every day. The bedding was not changed during a 8 night stay. It should be changed after the half of it. Also in the shower and some other parts of the bathroom was black mold. There have to be a better eye on it from the housekeeping. Carpets were also in other parts of the public areas and they were not very clean. I know that mostly guests are making those dirty with drinks, food or dirt from outside. The carpets could be cleaned more often or remove carpets and use tiles or wooden floor with at some points carpets bridges which are easier to clean.

Room and bed size adequate but needs a new mattress, but the view of the bay would be hard to beat anywhere Breakfast plentiful and good , restaurant meals also very good ,staff friendly and attentive

The pub bar (separate from the hotel) was very loud, music making it impossible to hold a conversation. However couldn't be heard in the hotel where there was an additional lounge bar

Room was lovely and spacious, incredible views of the ocean! The breakfast was delicious and lots of options, even for a veggie. We didn't use public transport but could see that there were regular buses, and parking was easy. Staff were all lovely and friendly.

There was leak in the ceiling in the bathroom (it was a very rainy few days) and we couldn't turn the radiator off or down - but we did forget to tell the hotel this so I'm sure they would have sorted it. Check out is at 10am which feels quite early as breakfast runs to half 9.

Excellent location in front of the bay. Terrace lobby & restaurant was lovely. 2 members of staff in particular were excellent. Unfortunately I didn't get their names but 1 was a lady from the Philippines & the other a man also from Asia who took our reservations at Coast

The doors to the bedrooms are fire doors so slam shut. This is not ideal as disturbs the other guests.
