The 300 year old mansion is gorgeous and lovingly restored, with original details faithfully there every where you look. At the same time, the air conditioning, wifi, and comforts of the beds, linens and majestic bathrooms are completely up to date for modern needs. The staff are incredibly nice and caring, cheerfully going above and beyond.

The site is in the old city, so be prepared that to get there you have to go down crowded and bustling narrow alleyways. It’s a locale and definitely Indian. It’s hot and sticky with flies in summer—but that’s Ahmedabad. The food is home cooked and delicious— and completely vegetarian. Vegan can absolutely be accommodated, but no yearnings for anything like an egg.

There are antique furniture in the rooms and the common spaces. Room and bathroom are clean and well ventilated. The bathroom is amazing with all modern amenities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in an open courtyard. Food is good in taste. The coloured glass window panes deserve special mention. The haveli is located very close to the Ratan Pol traditional clothes market and Manekchowk food market.

The haveli is located in the very narrow lanes of the old city area of Ahmedabad. Cab drivers refuse to enter this area which can be a problem if you have heavy luggage. The lofty stairs in the haveli are unsuitable for elderly and kids. The area is very polluted with smoke from innumerable auto rickshaws and motorbikes. It is almost impossible to walk along the lanes.

Beautifully restored Haveli. The host gave us an informative tour that we really enjoyed. Teaching us about the history and restoration of similar buildings. The room was spacious and clean. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast. Also assisted with taxis which were convenient but pricey.

The location was challenging as it was our first day in India. It is in the old part of the city and best suited to travel there by rickshaw or small car. We were in a big car. Driver struggled to get through but we made it. We found it overwhelming and little stressful. But hotel is lovely once you get there 🙂

300 year old Haveli beautifully and thoughtfully renovated without taking away the originality of the old structure. There are only three rooms in the entire Haveli. Even though, the property is pretty huge in size. The Haveli has many interesting places within the premises. The breakfast is pretty good. The front office and support staffs are ever ready to help. Mr. Mukesh, Manager is a gem of a person. He will arrange transportation for local sightseeing on request. The property is 3 minutes walk from Manek Chowk; which serves mouth watering street food from 8PM to 3AM. If you are a foodie, this is a place you would love.

The property is inside a small lane. If you are not very clear about the location, you would miss it.

I loved the overall vibe of this place. Old, haveli structure is well preserved. The room was clean, with comfortable beds, and all necessities were taken care of. The staff was very soft-spoken and helpful.

We struggled a bit to find the location on Google maps. We walked from the Ahmedabad junction, and the map took us through some super-narrow aisles which didn't really help. Also, the phone numbers listed didn't work. Also, while booking we had confirmed that the breakfast starts at 7 AM, we had a train to catch, hence needed to leave max at 7:20. The staff was helpful in terms of giving packed sandwiches, with some fruits (was great), and jam sandwiches (which could had been better). I think they just weren't in a position to provide breakfast at 7, which they could had simply told... With my diabetic father, jam sandwiches didn't really help, and we were in transit to arrange for a backup. Also, slightly overpriced place, but with a good breakfast, that will cover up.

The breakfast was excellent! I usually don't find poha to be particularly exciting, but the poha served here with sev and tomatoes was amazing. The room was very spacious and the staff, Mukhesh in particular, were very helpful!

The location in the old city is somewhat hard to reach by tuk tuk or cab. Maybe it would be good to clear the space in front of the haveli of all the parked scooters?

On arrival I was told that my "basic" room is not available. That they extended the previous guest. They asked me if I want to go to Booking and update to their king suite, which obviously has a much higher price tag. After giving a speech on a fair treatment they agreed to upgrade me free of charge. I was very happy about the upgrade but I wish it was their default option instead of asking me to pay for their mistake. The king suite is a really beautiful room. The bed was on of the best I've ever slept in. The bedding was the cleanest I've experienced in India but still not spotless (a few brownish spots here and there). I wouldn't say it was quite but neither was it loud. Perfectly quiet during the night except an occasional airplane flying over. I appreciated a welcome drink, free drinking water and a big plate of fruits for breakfast. There's also a lovely swing bench in the courtyard. I didn't get to try their dinner but the breakfast was pretty good.

I have a sour memory of the check-in experience mentioned above but I list it mostly in likes since it did end up very well for me. I didn't particularly enjoy water outlets in the bathroom. The water is kind of squirting instead of running smooth. The pressure is good so I assume the problem could be solved by cleaning the scale in the outlets. For such an upscale accommodation I'd expect the stuff (not pointing any fingers here) to know that they should NOT lay down cutlery on the table by holding the part that goes in one's mouth. I tried to explain it to them so hopefully it sticks. Fun fact: the king suite has 32! electricity switches. Some for lights, some for outlets and some for who knows what. I guess there's not much they can do about it. Perhaps small labels?

The room was HUGE, we weren't expecting this at all. The property is old and beautiful and for the money this place is amazing. We didn't have breakfast but they did kindly give us fruit and juice, and we were able to order food to the property. Great stay in the old city.

Down quite a narrow busy road and once we got thrown out the rickshaw at least 10 minutes away, so as long as you're ok with walking this place is great.

We really appreciated the way we were hosted. Mukesh in particular, but not only, has been very helpful and gave us lots of good tips such as place a to eat. He has also been very nice to make our staying the best it could be. He and his colleagues have been very nice guys!

Maybe the shower should be fixed as we did not get lots of water

Nothing not to like but one challenge is that property is not accessible to cabs or other bigger vehicles.Autos can barely manage in those roads. Can be tough for those travelling with luggage. People at the haveli are happy to arrange for help as requested.
