I am from Hawaii USA, I visited Chennai for Christmas 2023 and stayed at the Clarion Hotel President for eleven days. I liked the hotel layout, the elevators were fast and quiet and the lobby had a beautiful Christmas tree with festive music and welcoming atmosphere as soon as I walked in. The rooms were huge, much bigger than American standard hotel rooms and very comfortable. All the amenities were there as any luxury hotel provides. Coffee maker and free waters, shampoos etc etc. There was a smart TV but I did not need it. The free Wi-Fi was strong. The shower could fit two people easily and the water downpour makes you want to stay in longer. It came with a free buffet breakfast that starts your day on a happy note. The hotel itself was excellent with swimming pools etc etc… but the thing that makes this hotel stand out most was the staff. The People they hired are the best in service and friendliness and made my stay so good and enjoyable. There was Dhiraj with his Santa hat greeting me at every breakfast with a genuine happy smile, Murali, Prem Kumar and Abhay Singh all made my stay so good and memorable. There were so many others and I thank you all for your great services to your guests. I highly recommend this Hotel and team, and I will certainly stay here again. The thing that would need improvement is quality of bath towel. But room and staff are first class.

Fantastic and friendly staff - from the person who greets you at the front of the hotel, to the reception and restaurant staff. They gave me a room overlooking the city for the Diwali fireworks, and the hotel also bought a heap of fireworks and invited guests to join staff in their celebrations at the front of the hotel. The buffet breakfast is superb. Location is close to the beach and the train to the international cricket ground. Staff also organised transport to the airport for me

The location is very central , we were able to go to many places . Thumbs up to their staff who were very helpful, especially Abshaysingh, Iqbal, and zaheer . They organized our transportation and places to visit . Dipankar, who was very helpful with dietary needs for my father. Overall, the stay was enjoyable.😁

This was my second visit to this hotel. I was disappointed when no one accompanied me to the room on check in to show me important things like switching on the lights and controlling the air conditioner. The air conditioner was awful. It was freezing in the room, but raising the temperature was impossible, despite my asking for assistance many times. The AC could only lower the temperature, not raise it. It made me sick.

We stayed here twice for a total of 2 weeks and it suited our needs and budget perfectly. Our room on the 9th floor was large, clean and quiet, and had an interesting view. Housekeeping was done regularly and we enjoyed going to the restaurant for the buffet breakfast each morning. The staff were always helpful and professional, especially Mr Singh at reception. Highly recommended.

We have stayed last two night in this is hotel and some of the difficulties we are faced still meeting Mr.Balaji from house keeping after that he given is personal number for service still we leaving he taken care of each and everything thanks for his excellent service.

The Swimming pool was under repair for 2 days

I like Mr.Dipankar for his hospitality in Dinning hall,he takes utmost care . Mr Iqbaul the front Desk executive was also verygood and helpful. But House keeping staff need to be trained and care ful. The incharge has to take right approach.

The Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Breakfast was good. The price for the rooms were somewhat reasonable

They provide check-in at only 2pm and reject early check-ins even if we were willing to pay extra and even if we they had rooms available

The stay was made memorable because of clarion's facilities and its staff's exceptional services. Hospitality and attending to our needs was pleasant. Highly recommend. Laudable appreciations to Mr. Aegan, Mr. David, Housekeeping team - Mr. Malaichamy, Mr. Thiru, Mr.Dinesh, Supervisor Vijayakumar. The accommodation was commendable.

Internet connectivity

Great staff, pleasant check-in experience. Hotel foyer and restaurant are luxurious, felt right at home. After checkout we were able to store our bags at reception

Rooms have seen better times, smell of cigarette smoke in the room and loud elevator, even in the night.
