The staffs, service, food. Live music every night made the dinner great. Waiting staff Anthony and Laiki made us feel special with their service! Food is highly recommended! The reciption staff provided us with a snack pack during checkout for the road.

The room is not noise proof. You can hear people talking and walking outside. Pool staff is not clear about dress code in pool and keep insisting that without swimming costume female can't get into pool. Had to discuss with his manager to explain muslim woman can't wear swimming costume and it’s about type of fabric suitable for pool not the attire.

Staff were courteous...Hospitality was good.Chechin and checkout was smooth. Food was great...Live singers at their restaurant were excellent....Spa was good .....Pool and other facilities couldn't enjoy as was having continued rain for 2 days we stayed there.Also couldn't have the views from the hotel because of continued Fog. But it was expected as it is one of the wettest place on earth. Overall it was nice stay

We stayed in Dew Drop Cottage.Room size was average and rooms were dated. Room Facilities were good.

The general location is absolutely STUNNING. The staff were brilliant - always on hand to help and extremely quick to respond whenever we needed something. In particular, Rajeev helped us with some tricky situations with taxi drivers and we cannot thank him enough for his professionalism and calm manner. The rooms were beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches such as oils and materials for the bath and gorgeous-smelling soaps. The bed was large (even for my 6-foot partner!) and very comfortable. Many activities are provided to keep you entertained in the entertainment area (pool, table tennis etc.).

The range of food options on the menu is excellent, but the quality of the restaurant and bar was not as expected.

The location is unparalleled in cherapunjee. You get to see the majestic 7 sisters walterfall from all around the property and the vast expanse of valley till the horizon. The staff are very cordial and food is delicious. They have a nice arrangement of complimentary high tea in the evening which was pleasantly surprising. We also took spa treatment and found the experience worthwhile. Only improvement required on the water filtration system in the pool and a better changing room facility.

The pool filtration was not good. My eyes reddened after half an hours of swimming.

Love the serene, tranquil ambiance surrounded by lush greens of the towering mountains of Meghalaya and overlooking the gorgeous waterfalls. The infinity pool looking over the clouds was the best feature.

Some bathroom features such as the tiles could be a bit more clean. The flowers on the bed meant for honeymooners should be removed for certain guests who are not couples and traveling as friends. Seeing a bed of red roses made us a little bit awkward as we were two friends and not a married couple. The timing for the bar could be an hour longer if possible, they shut it at 10 pm.

I would highly recommend this hotel.It is located in a beautiful area on the hilltop in Cherapunjee,has live music and bonfire every night - English and Hindi songs sang by Albert and a lady(forgot her name unfortunatelly).Tattva spa provides amazing spa procedures,including massage.The staff in the hotel are very corteous and helpful.We had our wedding anniversary and the restaurant staff,Tattva spa girls and Albert had prepared beautiful surprises for us. This is our second time in this hotel and I hope to return again.

I would suggest to provide the list of allergens in each dish in restaurant to avoid asking these questions every time. Also would suggest to add a hand held shower in the log huts.

The POLO ORCHID Cherrapunjee is a fabulous hotel located on the top of Khasi Hills, literally above of clouds. The hotel landscape so organically fits into nature. Small wood houses combine luxury with simplicity and have a spectacular view of the Hills in sun-kissed morning. The staffs were very helpful and they behaved like friends. They offered exiting travel program: Huge Arwan cave and Living root bridges are deeply impress me. Breakfast was lovely with high variety and quality food. Dinners on a terrace with fire and life music are extraordinary. I would stay longer there.

The location and the property were top notch with impeccable hospitality.

Food taste was not that great Over priced for off season. The seven sister falls was not visible from my room as I had paid extra for the view room

The staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. They went above and beyond to take care of us.

The price is too expensive.

The property is located very close to the Seven Sisters Falls and when I say close you can literally see the waterfall from the balcony of your room. Just make sure you plan your stay if you have booked this place just for the waterfall. (Pavitra, Shekhar Tiu from housekeeping and Chun Chun from the restaurant were very welcoming and good with their service)
