We stayed at Room 109. The view from the balcony is "to die for"! Though close to the city one only saw a verdant sea of green forests, with early morning birdsong and the babbling sound of a laughing brook. Service was outstanding!!! The staff were so courteous and helpful. The restaurant at gate 5 had superb ambience and views. There was even a small but well-stocked shop of local handicraft and produce.

The housekeeping staff needed to be told to replenish tea bags and toiletries. Reminded them the first day and was seamless after that. Breakfast could have been superb if fresh fruit juice was provided(not canned). Perhaps the choice of fruits could have been improved. Would still give it a 10 on 10.

Super Stay , I EXTENDED 1 DAY , SINCE THEY DIDNT HAVE THE SAME ROOM AVAILABLE THEY GAVE ME A QUEEN ROOM .WHICH WAS HUGEST ROOM I LIVED IN ANY OF MY TRAVELS . Buffet Breakfast n all my meals in Shillong I had here , very hygienic n all organic veggies used , their staff at 5he Buffet n Restaurant are attentive n prompt & also their referred cab service was also nice . ALSO SPECIAL THANK YOU TO PR MAM BOBBY N MAM LARISUK AT THE RECEPTION. VERY COOPERATIVE .

Family above was with a child who was running in the night was running around n later crying but when I called the reception they took care n later was quite . .

Close to the city, yet away from the bustling city. The non-stop chirping sound of birds and insects will keep replaying in your mind at least for a week. We happened to stay in the forest view cottage, which offers excellent privacy and a beautiful view of the forest. The staff and security were extremely polite.

The bed was a bit worn out as I could hear the spring noise during every minute I moved. The mattress might need a replacement. The WiFi connection was extremely unstable. If this is not your priority, then no issues at all. Overall, it was an amazing stay to cherish forever.

1) Not a multi cuisine restaurant so if staying for 3-4 nights then you will need to repeat food options 2) Location is not that great since you would need a taxi if you want to go to the market or any other restaurants 3) Sudden steps in the Supreme category of the Valley wing so you need to be very cautious 4) Breakfast restaurants sitting is less so may have to wait for getting a table 5) No other recreation activities other than pool table

This is a very well kept historic building at the top of the hill in Shillong, surronded by forest with great views over the city. The rooms are large with very high celings, with warm dark wooden floors and wall panelling, furniture and pictures from the colonial era. The hotel is very clean and well run, the food excellent. The showers are hot and watre prewssure excellent, the wifi works great.

I stayed in the old building with beautiful rooms, high ceilings and colonial decor. The only issue is that the walls are thin, so you can hear everything going on in the resturant and bar across the courtyard, and in the neighboring rooms, thought it does get quiet by 10 pm. If you are a light sleeper this may bother you.

The room was beautiful and the hotel was wonderful. And food was delicious, too good. Butter chicken was finger licking 😍 Overall it was a perfect stay. Hoping to get the cottage next time.

Only issue we faced was couldn't turn on the AC as the outdoor unit was making hell of a noise. And another issue was with the bathroom tap, shower and tap was malfunctioning along with water temperature.

Property is awesome excellent landscape very good rooms,restaurants, food and staff.

Breakfast was limited variety, we missed fruits also Some of rooms like 105 in valley block is not value for money, it has no balcony and the room is forcefully made by covering a balcony . Also approach is like outhouse of a bunglow..

Cleanliness, comfort and service

The finance department who would not let the staff to block another room for me without advance payment. As I was travelling in Chirapunji I had poor connectivity and so transaction was not going through. They lacked consideration and acted overseas and almost rude!

Breakfast is great. Room amenities superb Restaurant and bar are really world class

The booking process of asking the advance payments in spite of the fact that we have booked under non-refundable conditions is a weird one. There should be flexibility.

Omg! The place was a palace in its own simplicity. It was an amazing feeling staying here and would definitely come back whenever we get the chance

You need to walk around a bit, but that's what we do in any resort! The nature around the resort is amazing, minus the mosquitoes
