I arrived very late at night, but the night warden cheerfully let me in and the receptionist dealt with my check in professionally even though he had just been woken. I booked a single room, but was given a double for the first night. The staff kindly let me keep this larger room for the rest of my stay to avoid having to move. The room was large with fully working bathroom, including plentiful hot water. The Aircon and ceiling fan worked efficiently to keep the room cool. The guest house is in a relatively quiet street (for Kolkata) where there are a couple of places to get breakfast and chai. It's a straightforward walk to Esplanade, New Market, Maidan and Park St, even if quite a long way in the heat. There are usually taxis or autos available in the same street as the guest house. When I left on evening bus, the staff kindly looked after my luggage after checkout for the rest of the day.

There was a tiny water leak through the ceiling of the room after heavy rain.

Location only ten minutes from Park Street metro so very convenient. Restaurants all around at reasonable prices and at all hours of the day. Easy location to get a cab or any kind of rickshaw. Staff at Jimmy's spoke excellent English and were very accommodating, allowing me to extend my stay by a couple of days when I changed my plans. Wifi was very good.

There could have been more daylight in the room, and a little more space. But it was find for just sleeping and exploring during the day.

After the arrival I have changed the room twice: first one had a bad smell in it, second was very small and was not fresh either. Third one was great, a spacious family room with 2 sofas and working AC (room number 106). The lady working in the reception was very very kind and full of compassion. She allowed me to choose the room from the available options till I was happy. I appreciate that a lot :) Thank you!

I did not like the ring bell installed at the door of my room. It was used way too often by the personnel. In the morning they woke me up at 7 am, ringing like crazy till I have opened the door. When I have asked not to use it anymore, they stopped.

Location convenient, many restauurants, food stalls, a liquor sþore very close. Major bus stopß both directions within 1-200 meters. New market, Sudder St, Park St, The Mother's House well within walking distance, has elevator and staff speaks english.

Single room was a bit dingy. Douuble rooms are better.

Staff was good. The stay was very Peaceful in the room. Hotel was clean everywhere. The security shows up and ask every morning if I want anything to eat. But I didn't order anything.

Even though it's at the center of city, It's bit of long walk to Esplanade to take a metro. There is no any Vegetarian restaurants nearby. The bathroom was clean, but stinky onion smell, I think this comes from the sink.

The staff was so helpful! I ended up having food poisoning in Kolkata and the staff from the guest house took me to the hospital and sorted out everything for me! The room was clean and comfortable! Location was great! I would stay here again!

Susanna is a most gracious, helpful, and elegant hostess. Her entire staff is supremely courteous, cheerful, and attentive. A wonderful introduction to the genuine Kolkata.

Jimmy Guest House is all good.

Hotel room is very good, no noise & all given facilities working well.. in reception suhana ma’am is very humble & she communicates wid well behave..

It is located within a quiet neighborhood with easy options to commute & dine. I arrived late however they gave me triple room instead of single room within same tariff (due to single room unavailability). I extended my stay for 4 more days in the same room.

Their was problem with the AC, water dripping from it.

Аt fist time I thought: my God such old sheets how i will sleep? but really guys this is the best hotel you can get for that money in Kolkata. Special checked others: decey. So Jimmy really good staff
