I don't think there is a better host and accommodation than this one on booking and here is the explanation. Pankaj (the host) welcomed us at 5 am even though we were supposed to arrive after 12... he even showed us must-visit places that we didn't know about, he drove us to the subway with his car and showed us good restaurants, shops etc. he was available at any time of the day for all questions and services, he even offered more without asking for anything in return... the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, enough space, it's even better in person than in the pictures and most importantly, it's located in a safe area. high score deserved. thank you for everything!

We stayed previously at Tatvamasi's and had an excellent experience. It was therefore a no-brainer when our daughter travelled to Delhi alone, needing a safe and comfortable place to stay. As expected, she felt safe, comfortable and supported during her stay. Pankaj provided her with a warm welcome, took time to discuss safety as well as sightseeing tips, and showed her the neighbourhood. He checked in with her regularly to ensure her safety and well-being and provided advice and guidance as needed. She reported enjoying the spacious room, reliable wifi, quiet location and the excellent Chai tea. In short, another great stay at Tatvamasi. Thank you!

Not staying long enough

There are two concerns in India, Safety, and Hygiene, absolutely no concern here! I don't know even where to start: - Mr. Pankaj is absolutely amazing, he is super helpful, he guided me through everything, what to avoid at the airport! at the area! where to visit? how, when, and where! - He showed me how to use Metro! gave a metro card! traveled to a different city with his card - He himself came out with me to take taxi for me when needed! - He dropped me at Metro station using his own car! - He always offers Chai (Tea) and he always provides you what you need. they always find a way! - The staff are super polite! like wow! super amazing! everyone is amazing here! so lovely! - He waited for me to be absolutely sure how long I need to stay (since I wasn't sure and I had a flexi ticket), then I paid later..... seriously, where it happens? what else can be done? where do you get all these? he is the best part of this (kindness, hospitality, helpful!...etc) - The place is super safe! I always felt I am at home! I never felt that safe in my travel! let alone in India! - The hygiene issue is not much of a concern here! while its a huge issue in the country! - The room has adapters/socket for non-indian plugs! no need to run around to charge your laptop/mobile. You will not be as comfortable and relax in a 5 star hotel! and I never write feedback in that level of detail! first time in my life! for a reason!

Go find it! literally PERFECT! I do %100 recommend it! I booked it for 6/7 nights and ended up staying/extending it for additional two nights!

I was a solo traveler and stayed about 10 days. Location - excellent - many places in walking distance. Uber also is easy and economical. Comfort and clean - beds super comfortable. Rooms and premises spotless. Easy kitchen access if needed. Filtered water and even cold water in refrigerator - such a nice touch. Hospitality - The owner, Pankaj, is everything and more you could ask for in a host. He is friendly and willing to provide as much guidance as you may like. Upon arriving he took me for a ride so that I could be oriented to the neighborhood. He also helped me in a handful of tasks providing guidance and assistance. His staff is superb; always offering to help with luggage or offer chai. I will surely return!

Nothing to say…

The room was very clean, quite, and comfortable, which I really appreciated after being in two different hotels on this trip to Delhi that were not clean. I really appreciated how helpful and available the host, Pankaj, was. I asked last minute if a couple of my friends could be added to my room reservation for just one night, and he graciously accommodated. He spent time walking with us to the nearby area for food and shopping and gave us many recommendations for things we could do in the area. The room had everything we needed. It's the kind of place I would feel really comfortable staying for a longer trip as well, and definitely as a solo female traveler. I highly recommend. Thanks, Pankaj and family!

I can't think of anything!

Upon arrival, the owner of the homestay took 20 minutes to talk to us about exactly what to see and what to skip in Delhi, based on our trip goals & duration. We had done our own research of things to see, but having a local's perspective really helped narrow down what we should do. Having that level of local expertise made our trip 10x better, and the care for each individual person that stays there is clear to see. He even dropped us off at the metro station on his way to do errands for the day. Cannot recommend this homestay enough. Neighborhood is very nice - away from the intense crowds of the center city, great restaurants and stores just a 7 minute walk away. The staff (beyond the owner) is very nice & helpful as well

Tatvamasi was our first stop in India and it had taken us a while to find somewhere in a reasonable location which would not be too overwhelming for two "older travellers" from Australia. Cannot fault Pankaj, his team and his property. Excellent location in a quiet, leafy area, especially recommended for first-timers to Dehli. The room was great and overall the homestay has everything you need including a fridge in your room and plenty of drinking water. Pankaj is friendly and super helpful, full of invaluable tricks and tips that we would have never worked out - e.g great things to see, how to use the metro and good clean restaurants. he personally took us out on our first morning and walked us around the block where there are some great cafes and restaurants. He also dropped us off at the metro station. Don't hesitate, just book it, Tatvamasi is great.

Pankaj's honest but repetitive comments about Australia's poor performance in the first tense at Perth!!! (joke!)

My stay with Pankaj has been nothing but phenomenal. The conversations we’ve had throughout my stay were extremely interesting, and you could tell that Pankaj has brushed paths with many travelers. Apart from that, he has helped setup my journey in New Delhi, as i wasn’t very well prepared. From food recommendations to tourist attractions. He even went above and beyond to help me book my trip to Agra, setup my accommodation in Jaipur, and some taxi transports that were needed at “ugly” timings. The staff are super friendly and will always welcome you with a smile and a tea offering! I’ve honestly enjoyed my stay tremendously and would highly recommend it to any adventurous traveler! Top hospitality!

I had the most incredible stay with Pankaj and his wonderful staff. Travelling as a solo female, and someone who usually books hotels, I was a bit sceptical of staying at a homestay but now, thanks to this incredible experience I'm hooked! Pankaj was so helpful when I arrived, helping me make the most out of my time in Delhi by planning what I should see, etc. The room was delightful - very spacious, clean and secure. Honestly a 10/10 experience. Thank you so much and I can't wait to come back — home away from home in Delhi!

We had a lovely start to our India holiday! We stayed at a homestay and Pankaj, our host was absolutely brilliant. He was so helpful explaining to us how to stay safe on our trip in 🇮🇳. On our first day, he walked with us to show us the way to the market and places to eat. Although our home wasn't a 5 star hotel or even a hotel for any matter, it was absolutely brilliant staying there as he gave us so many tips that we wouldn't have got anywhere. We had our washing done. The rooms were clean and fresh drinking water was provided everyday. Fresh clean towels were provided everyday and toiletries replaced every day. It was air conditioned with free WiFi. One thing that struck me was his honesty and helpfulness. He even made sure that we were not ripped off by the uber driver to Agra by negotiating the toll prior to the journey as often the uber drivers will simply charge a much higher fare for tourist. I can honestly recommend anyone going to Delhi to stay at #tatvamasihomestay.

Nothing though we did tease Pankaj about having a rooftop pool.
