The room is 2 story circular shape and the property is modeled after Borobudur temple complex. It is a unique experience to sleep here with all windows open at night seeing outside decor and trees. You feel like sleeping inside a stupa. During the day you can lower the blinds for privacy and shade. The snack treats and breakfast were awesome. Helpful staff and friendly management. I had great experience.

The stairs in the room is a bit steep but it was okay for me. For older people or people with knee problem, this can be a challenge as you sleep upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This stairs remind me of the steps in Borobudur temple which is also steep. So if this is okay for you then no problem.

A little piece of paradise nestled among the rice fields near Borobudur Temple. We stayed for three nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The spa experience was exceptional, and the restaurant offered delicious food with both Western and Indonesian options—the red snapper was particularly outstanding. The hotel's proximity to Borobudur Temple allowed us to walk there easily, which was a huge plus. The villas are architecturally stunning and incredibly spacious. We loved having our own private jacuzzi, and the decor of the villa was beautifully designed. The service throughout our stay was exceptionally attentive—they truly thought of everything. Special thanks to Hendi and Risma for their outstanding service at the restaurant. We enjoyed strolling around the hotel grounds and appreciated the peaceful surroundings. The breakfast was generous with a great variety of options. Highly recommended!

The staff are extremely attentive, friendly, and welcoming. They upgraded our room which was a lovely surprise, and even helped us with recommendations for the next city we visited on our trip. The hotel was in a peaceful location and was not very busy at all which gave a very relaxing vibe. It is beautifully designed and maintained. The location is perfect for Borobodur temple, especially since the entrance to the temple has now been moved to the back (new car park and shuttle system) which means it is only ~10 minute walk. Our stupa was well designed with a good shower and comfy bed. The breakfast was by far the best of our two week trip in Indonesia - a great choice and lots of different tasty options. There was also free afternoon tea/snacks which made the stay feel more luxurious. We also got a couples massage which was very good with friendly staff.

The only (very small) downsides were that they asked to fill out a short form before arrival which included asking things like “any allergies”. I stated a nut allergy but there were still nuts in the snacks at afternoon tea and in our room which is fine but makes the form a little redundant. Also it would be good if there were signposts/map of the route to Borobodur temple when walking, although I appreciate this may be out of the hotel’s control.

Well designed property. Everyone is exceptionally forthcoming and friendly, the room was very light and has everything we needed. We also loved the food at their restaurant. Although everything is very open, the property feels private and comfortable. We also really liked the jacuzzi that was attached to the villa.

The master switch for the lights was unfortunately on the top floor of the villa, which made it a bit inconvenient. The wine choices from France are a bit pricey for Europeans, so I would have enjoyed a larger selection of “local” or regional wines.

The food was incredible! Most outstanding was the attitude of the staff. They were warm, friendly and extremely helpful in every way. The managers went above and beyond to be helpful to a woman traveling alone.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure I had whatever I needed and wanted. From arranging transportation to keeping the suite spotless, they couldn't have done more. They answered all my questions with gracious friendliness.

I’ve traveled 50+ countries. This is the most amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed around the world. The inspiring design, cleanliness, jacuzzi, food, friendly staff, interesting free activities. It’s not a stay, but an unforgettable life experience. I met the hotel owners. Their story about this hotel is touching, inspiring. Highly recommend this hotel. A must visit place if you go to Borobudur.

Perfect is the best word to describe this place. The attention to detail of management (we met the owners on multiple occasions during our stay) and staff is incredible. Everyone showed a genuine interest in ensuring our needs were met, making us feel taken care of from the first moment we stepped in the hotel. The restaurant is great. The Indonesian choices were really great but what really surprised us was the stake and lamb quality, which could easily be found in a top restaurant in Italy. They cooked on the moment breakfast, and there is plenty of choice options and variety. the complementary tea is nice added touch. the facilities are great. we got the villa with jakuzi bath which was super comfortable. the bar has great views, the last floor even better ones if possible. we took a massage and it was really relaxing and well made. the gym is adequately equiped.

not having more time to stay.

Staff is amazing. I wanted to travel to setumbu hill for sunrise (it's a drive) and they organized/ made it happen. Walking distance to temple. Very spacious and comfortable bungalow. Even came with an outdoor Jacuzzi. Very impressed with the hotel grounds/ design/ decor. Generous amenities kit for guys and gals

Could be a bit cleaner

The unique architecture with stupa like units, spacious and plenty of lights from inside the room. Love the balcony too ! We booked in family deluxe that has 2 king beds (1 bed on 2nd floor) and have space for extra bed if needed (1st floor). There is afternoon tea that provides good snacks and tea/coffee in room. Very attentive hotel staffs that can also accomodate our late breakfast at 11 AM.

There is extra fee/person which is a bit uncommon for hotels in Indonesia. Breakfast can be more complete set menu.

As expected this unique stay was the absolute highlight of our hotel experience in Java. It was an absolute pleasure to be greeted by the owners and hear their story about the concept behind the design and their plans for the future as well as the welcoming staff who all went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed, including negotiating a really good price on a private driver for a half day tour at the last minute for us. Given the secluded nature of this accommodation it gave us the opportunity to just relax and unwind at the end of the day and spend quality time together. We also enjoyed waking up at dawn and having the place to ourselves to take in the serenity and got some amazing sunrise shots from our drone of the surrounding landscape including one of the Borobudur temple which is nearby. You can tell the owners have spent a great deal of time thinking of the guest experience and ensuring staff are trained to an exceptional level, as we were treated with nothing but respect and every meal was presented beautifully and a delight to eat! We look forward to returning again in a few years when the renovations are complete and seeing how the expansion has gone! Thanks so much for providing such a unique and wonderful experience!

As they are in expansion mode there was construction going on from early hours of the morning on a Saturday (which we weren't warned about the night before when we arrived) this made it impossible to sleep in. Further, the construction crew were in direct line of sight of the pool area which was a little disconcerting. Overall it wasn't a major issue as we understand things work differently over there and the expansion does look like it will be a very exciting step forward for this unique stay!
