Sunset was lovely, movie was interesting. Concept good. Night Buffet needed a little more umphf. It was not as good as breakfast! Needed a good curry on the selection. My family choose pizza instead cos choice was not exciting on nite buffet! No fish or seafood considering island buffet. For breakfast, Chef came out of kitchen to the dining room and served us and many tables with pancakes n satay! Welcome gesture. Best Breakfast. He was very friendly and good food selections. :) Ride to hotel was interesting on horses. But we had to bargain a good price. Would have stayed 3 nites if they provided transport to town in the evenings. Too hard to ride those bikes in the sand and just too far to walk in the dark! Room was good. Beach was nice n clean in front of hotel as they sweep it. At sunset it is high tide and it comes up to the retaining wall of movie n outdoor buffet area. Was fun.

We stayed there 9 nights and had a wonderful time, will definitely come back! - Spacious rooms for a family of four (baby and toddler), the hotel kindly provided a baby cot and there is a window bench for my toddler in the room. - The staff was exceptionally wonderful and friendly, especially with our kids. When we left, they all came out to the front of the hotel to wave us goodbye, which was incredibly touching and memorable. - Excellent value for money - Good location - Nice sunbeds near the beach with ample shade - Breakfast included - Nice big swimming pool - Fun activities for kids : badminton, slides, swings etc

Loud music during sunset every evening, which disrupted the peaceful and magical sunset experience.

Had an absolutely amazing time at this resort. What we loved most was location, it was on the cleaner side of the island and there were many restaurants and resorts near by to check out. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, there is a 24/7 medical centre on the location, 1 second walk to the beach, the pool was a lot of fun, and the bedrooms were all stunning. We also enjoyed the free snacks and drinks which were constantly topped up during the day.

Hotel is on the quieter side of the island although that seems to be changing with the increased development going on. Staff are very friendly and sunsets are superb. The big screen film showings are also a good idea as are the free snacks. Cycle hire just outside the hotel was very convenient for getting around the island.

Breakfast was served indoors due to the rainy season. The food on offer was very similar each day and was not replenished quickly enough. Wi-Fi reception was poor and slow. The pool could get busy and noisy but beach just over the road so can easily find somewhere quieter.

The pool was a great size and the strawberry mojito were brill. The room was clean and spacious. We didn't try the breakfast as did other things so can't comment on that. The hotel is in the quieter part which I liked but you do need a bike to get around, prob 20 min bike ride to centre but plenty at hotel if you don't want to do that.

The cinema nights get rather busy so you do need to be there early, and I did think the hotel lent you the bike but they don't you have to pay the guy next door but great place to stay

The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were all really impressed and feel truly welcome. The room was great too however do note that a garden room type is located at the very back of the resort and it requires 3-4 minute walk. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment but we had one dinner there and it was amazing. The hotel has a nightly outdoor theater which was a bonus! There's also a bike rental spot right in front of the hotel so all was very convenient.

The hotel is on the sunset side of the island and is relatively quiet and far from shops and other public amenities. The plus is that you get to enjoy the cotton candy sunset everyday on your almost private beach. If you like to be somewhere quiet to enjoy time to yourself then this is highly recommended!

ASTON Sunset Beach Resort on Gili Trawangan is a slice of tropical paradise that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I set foot on the pristine white sand, I knew this resort was something special. The beachfront villas at ASTON Sunset are a haven of luxury, offering breathtaking views of the turquoise waters. The modern design, coupled with traditional Indonesian elements, creates an atmosphere of pure relaxation. My villa's private terrace was the perfect spot to soak in the stunning sunset over the Bali Sea.

It's perfect for families with kids, they have a kids playground and an awesome pool! Things were clean, staff were friendly and great, always smiled and greeted us, they looked like they were happy to be there! Free movie night by the beach while having dinner was amazing, my son enjoyed Finding nemo outdoor cinema!! The location was perfect for sunset. AC in the room were strong and great. The room and bathroom were spacious, my son slept at comfy sofa bed, we didnt need to add extra bed in the room which was great! Free flow water + iced tea + snacks at reception was amazing for hot days! Bicycle rent was easily 50k/day in front of the hotel.

Breakfast food was basic, Soto was quite bland and cold. Fried rice was the same. Sweet bread tasted not fresh, fruit juice was great & egg omelette freshly made so warm and good. Lunch and dinner ala carte tasted pretty basic for the price, to be honest expecting more from Aston level. Location is a bit far from port, need to pay 150k for horse cart each way

All rooms over look the pool. The pool in a quiet location away from the public at the front. The breakfast served on the beach each morning was tasty and always replenished. The staff were helpful and friendly. The spa always had appointments and got staff to accommodate so could decide to have a treatment on the spur. The menu in the restaurant was huge and varied and could also have it at the pool. The mocktail list was yummy

Not much it's a lovely place but the garden beds around and at the pool could be maintained abit more. The bathrooms seem abit dark but there's plenty of space in the shower and 2 sinks
