The room was spacious and clean, good wifi, but the best is really the staff and the swimming pool area, also kept very clean, with comfortable sunbeds as wel. The breakfast was also always delicious and they offer massages here as well. I had a very good Balinese massage. The location is also great, short walk to the beach and restaurants. This is the place to stay in Lovina for a few truly relaxing and peaceful days.

A couple of minor details: it would be good to have a place to be able to fill water bottles. The bathroom could benefit with one more towel hanger.

Very charming and spacious villa, well maintained garden and large clean pool. Maria, our hostess, was very service minded and aleays met us with a smile and helped us to arrange dolphin watching/swim with a very good exoerience.

The villa is surrounded by a lush garden with palms and fruit trees. This innevitably means that there will be bugs - wich there was. But that is not the fault of the villa - just something that comes with the location and guests should understand this when booking.

This is a beautiful villa in local style. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor. The downstairs area is basically a huge living room with a small kitchen. The airconditioning is excellent in the bedrooms, there is no AC downstairs. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace, eating our breakfast there, which was delicious and plenty.The garden is beautiful. 5 minutes walk to the beach.

We liked everything about the villa. But if you do not appreciate an older villa, you might find the bathroom smell and you might complain about the water pressure.

Spacious villa with excellent bedroom air conditioning, beds and pillows. Bathrooms were huge, clean and in good working order. Balinda and her staff were very friendly and welcoming and breakfast was lovely. The location was excellent with Warung Apple a short stroll away for a cheap and delicious dinner. Other small shops and an atm nearby.

Downstairs felt a bit stuffy and hot as the windows didn’t open easily and there is no air conditioning. Ok if you plan to be out and about except to sleep or be in the pool! Might be a problem for a longer stay?

This place definitely had the "wow-factor". When you enter you feel peace and calmness. This place is so beautiful and well taken care of. We enjoyed the garden and the swimming pool a lot. The private room is very warm and welcome with lovely details which make you feel happy and at home. Hygiëne and cleanliness was flawless. And the best part: the people who facilitate, are so extremely nice. You feel so welcome and relaxed and taken care of. As an icing on the cake, you should try a massage by the lovely host (who speaks both English and Dutch), it was superb.

Absolutely nothing!

We have already reviewed Balinda, but will say it again because Booking.com keeps asking. We had the best, most relaxing stay here. Everything about it was just as we expected. We spent lots of time in the beautiful, clean pool, which is set in a lovely garden. All the staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts lovingly prepared by Maria in the garden or on our balcony, marvellous massages and pedicure from our lovely host, Eka, a great dolphin watching cruise and great reasonably priced dining from several restaurants within walking distance.

We loved everything about our stay at Balinda.

Location ok, need to walk about 300 meters to get to Main Street for restaurants and shopping about 10min walk to beach. Very disappointed with Balinda Villa. Room 2, there was no where to sit inside, the room was only slightly wider than the double bed, room was dirty, mould and soap scum in shower and grime in the wash basin. They didn’t provide fresh towels daily, no towel floor mat or face washers. The mat in front of shower looked like a dog mat and was dirty and looked like it was not changed from previous guest. They didn’t wash or replace dirty coffee mugs, we would of been happy to wash if hot water in bathroom sink or washing up liquid provided. There is no lock on door of room, they have a padlock with no spare key so they can only make up room when you are present. The railing on stairs up to room 2 are extremely dangerous, railing only comes up to mid thigh, if you trip the fall down is around 3 metres. Definitely would not recommend for children to stay upstairs, the upstairs water feature broken and not working . To lock inside of a night we were given a piece of wood to slide across inside handles. Massages were double the price of parlours in the main road. Included Breakfast choice only egg & toast or banana pancake, tea or Bali coffee, we needed to pay extra for juice. Grounds and pool very nice and well kept, pool towels had holes in them. Very nice staff and very welcoming. I cut my arm on a very sharp ledge in shower, they were very apologetic and offered a juice as a sorry gift, which was a nice gesture. The multi room villas looked good from the outside but didn’t look inside. Our names written on a leaf on our bed when first arriving in the room was a nice personal touch. Overall, you pay for what you get, cheap price, poor quality of room, but good service.

Balinda had everything we needed for a relaxing time in Lovina. Down a quiet lane near some excellent eating places and close to the beach, it's a peaceful sanctuary with beautiful gardens and a sparkling clean pool. We had rooms side by side with a shared covered outdoor area. Although modest compared to a 5-star resort, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are attentive and lovely, and we had everything we needed. Balinda is a small establishment, so there are not many other guests. We enjoyed many hours at the pool, and ate our delicious breakfasts in the garden or on our verandah looking out to a view of the neighbourhood and the sea. Sunsets were amazing from the verandah. Eka is a lovely person, and a friendly and helpful host. She arranged a dolphin watching excursion for us at a good price. She also happens to be an excellent masseuse, so we indulged in some pampering as well. We highly recommend Balinda as a beautiful place to stay. Great value for money. We'll be back.

There's not much we didn't like, although wholegrain bread for the breakfast toast might have been nice instead of white bread, but that's probably a big ask in Lovina.

It was our first time in Lovina and Balinda exceeded our expectations. This was the most satisfying room we stayed in during the trip. Large enough room, comfortable bed and warm service made us feel at home. Eka is such a nice person, she helped us arrange everything, including tickets, car rental. Her kind greetings made us feel the warmth of home. And the breakfast that Maria herself made for us was delicious!

Beautiful garden and pool, very friendly staff (family atmosphere), good breakfast service, easy walking distance to Lovina's main beach, to many warungs and restaurants, to dolphin and snorkeling tours but still nice and quiet. Functional, clean room with tall ceiling.

Somewhat dated bathroom facilities. Though quite far away the muezzin still woke us up several times early in the morning.
