Extremely well decorated and a nice and comfortable room. The hostel itself had many nice places to relax and sit back. Very close to the beach and the little center of Lovina. A nice vibe and a good location for a drink with the live music and people. The hotel has put in a lot of work to maintain the place and even renovate the place during Covid, and it shows. Would recommend it to everyone.

Only thing that I was missing in the room is that it did not have curtains. Felt a little bit watched. But it is an option to hang something in front of the door so people can not look inside.

The fire dance and DJ, bonfire night on the beach is fantastic. This was a highlight of our trip. The property is quirky and fun, lots of little details to look at. There’s been a lot of thought put into this place. The service is EXCELLENT. Fast, super friendly, helpful.

This is a hostel, and it’s really affordable for a hostel with private rooms and bathrooms, entertainment..: really great value for money. Except for the rats eeeeek we had rats in our bedroom at night and it was a no go for me. We left because of that. It’s an open style/tent layout so I guess it’s hard to keep them out.

The design and layout of the property was really cool and quirky. The staff were all lovely and really eager to help, the breakfast included was delicious and great value for money.

The WiFi didn’t stretch to the rooms so is only accessible in the bar/ dining area which is fine but also very inconvenient. The internal lock for the room I was in also wasn’t very good and because I was staying in a room on a walkway from bar to beach, there were always lots of people walking along it so I didn’t feel very safe. It would have been useful to be able to lock myself in properly for peace of mind (I can’t speak for what the locks in the other rooms were like as I didn’t see them).

The atmosphere was cool and interesting and quirky which i loved and perfect for something different for a couple of nights. Very friendly staff. The room was super cute and comfortable. Loved the free access to tea and coffee, if water was not hot it was made fresh if asked. THE BREAKFAST - I loved that you could have it at anytime, I’m never hungry first thing in the morning and like to wait until 11am to eat so this was perfect, also with it being a late music night we want to sleep in! The fire show and DJ and band every night was great, lovely evening sitting on the beach for sunset, the restaurant was also good providing big portions of food. The beach is nice and quiet in the day but also this is the only party place so in the evening there is not competing music. A nice chilled vibe.

I can’t think of anything. A pool would top off the great experience but the place is exactly as advertised

We had a fantastic time at Funky Place Party Hostel in Lovina, Bali. The lively atmosphere and helpful, funny staff added a special touch to our stay. The nightly live music created an upbeat vibe, culminating in a memorable New Year party on the funky beach. Our overall experience was delightful, and we particularly enjoyed the treehouse near the beach, providing the perfect spot to unwind.

One downside was that if you had an early morning wake-up for activities like a dolphin swim, the live music occasionally extended past midnight, making it challenging for those seeking a peaceful night's sleep. Another drawback was the absence of mosquito nets and the not-so-airtight outlet walls, leading to some unwelcome mosquito encounters during the night.

We had the best time af Funky Place! We even decided to stay a bit longer because we enjoyed it so much. The beach club at the front is really nice and is a good place to just relax and watch the sunset. The staff is the absolute best part about this place; they’d do anything to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the food, the (small) pool and the live band who would play every evening and made a good party each night!

Nothing to dislike :) Maybe if you like to sleep early this isn’t your place as the band plays till late every night!

Everything. The staff is so nice. We booked the double room and it’s really comfortable and the bathroom is nice. There is a bar in the front with live music every night, and a beautiful beach bar in the back with fire show

It can be loud during the live music in the evening but it’s fine The restaurant can be improve

Cozy hostel with nice dorms and private room. Cool beach bar and party every day (which you don’t have to attend). They organize/sell tours at the hostel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Moskito nets for every bed. They also have a small jacuzzi, offer messages and the free breakfast is nice.

There was almost no storage room in my dorm and with five beds it was really narrow. But I saw other dorms which seemed more spacious.

Perfect location, right on the beach, can organise tours and taxis through hostel. Staff all lovely, and food at the restaurant is nice. Clean room and bathroom.

There was rats in the ceiling. Never saw one but can hear them running around at night. Bit off putting but didn’t spoil the stay.

Superb location just few step to the beach. They have live band every night which would make ur stay more fun (if u into it). I meet amazing staffs there, we become friends and have fun drinking together with interesting conversations. I miss that place already. Definitely will stay there again if visit Lovina in future.

If possible funky place can upgrade the door lock from outside & inside then it would be great.
