Very friendly people, nice little rooms with good showers and toilets. Breakfast options were tasty and there is a basic restaurant across the road. This is a great place for families all the way to backpackers who are after a good little local place to park yourselves while in Medan. We used it stop over for one night either side of heading into the jungle from the airport and it was perfect for this. They also will pick you up and drop you off from the airport for pretty much the same price as a standard taxi so this is a good option.

There is nothing bad to say about this place. The only thing you should note is that is in the suburbs. You can walk 10mins to get to some small shops, but there is not a lot here for tourists. You will need a car/bike to get from to and from this hotel and anywhere else a tourist might want to go. A good tip we got was also to get the app "Grab" which is like Uber/Uber Eats to give you a way to get a taxi and also some food delivered to the hotel if you want something more than what the little restaurant across the road offers.

It's just great to arrive here after a long flight. A very, very helpful staff will help you with all your questions. After leaving my card in the ATM, they took me to the city, waited for over an hour with me, then took me to another bank. I took up the entire morning of two people and their car due to my stupidity and just a tip was sufficient. It just feels so good to be helped like that. You just don't get that where I'm from. A clean and calm place to escape the busyness of Medan and I can recommend Bua to be your starting and exit point to beautiful Sumatra.

The owners Rhama and Ridho are the most lovely ever, and their employees as well, you have the feeling to be at home! Their knowledge about their country is amazing, they will help you to guide you to organise your trip. The guest house is incredibly clean, functional and confortable. The garden is nice and relaxing and there is even a swimming-pool in the same block. Perfect place to start your trip in Sumatra coming from the airport! And very good typical food. Highly recommended!

Maybe some pillows on the benchs and it would be perfect :)

This guesthouse is perfect for a stay in Medan outside of the crowded city of Medan. The house itself is beautiful with a lot of plants, definetly made with a lot of love. The room is clean and very comfortable. It has everything what you need. Rama and the whole staff is very friendly and help you with everything. The breakfast was very delicious as well as the dinner. We also used the airport Shuttle, which was very easy to use and Book. Thank you for the recommendations and for the wonderful stay

There is nothing to complain about this guesthouse!

Lovely place, perfect for travellers stopping by on the way to e.g. Bukit Lawang or Lake Toba (you can arrange transport here which makes it all very easy). Lovely owners and staff. I stayed here twice on my trip and met interesting and friendly fellow travellers both times - it's that kind of place. Rooms are simple but pleasant, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning. The honesty fridge with drinks, snacks and, most importantly, natural insect repellent, is a great idea. The location is not far from the city centre (with a vehicle) but has more of a rural village feel, which is very pleasant. It offers outstanding value for money and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Medan.

There was nothing I didn't like!

Very peaceful, nice shared dining area with the staff and other travellers to chat with. Lovely garden and so many things nearby. 500m to the kids swimming pool which our kids loved. Food all nearby. Rama and family were wonderful hosts and we were picked up by a lovely couple who drive for the guest house. They waited ages late at night because immigration were not familiar with Papua New Guineans entering. Upstairs rooms had a nice art gallery on the balcony with a fridge of cold drinks. Room was spacious, simple, clean and with aircon. They will cook for you if you wish or you can bring your own. So much nicer than being in Medan Central.

Door needed fixing a little but this was a minor issue. Bathroom drain worked but slowly - again - a very small problem. With the lovely garden you get some mossies but they package their own organic mossie repellent.

The staff was very friendly, happy and helpful. The food was great, both the breakfast and lunch/dinner! Also the airport pick-up and drop-off service is very helpful, and not more expensive than a Grab.

The only downside is that the walls of the deluxe rooms are made of wood and very thin, making the rooms a bit noisy. During the night, you can hear all traffic passing and at 4:30 AM you can hear all mosques in the area. But this can be solved with earplugs!

The family who run this small guesthouse are exceptional that's what makes your stay really special you are well looked after from the first moment it feels like home. The room was basic but clean and new. Everything worked. The food was good as was the breakfast choice. Really good value for money. The location is beautiful and quiet because it is a distance from the city perfect for overnight or more nights. We stayed 2 nights and I would definitely recommend this place thank you Elfie and Bua

Nothing negative to say... Maybe would have appreciated hot water but on a warm day it's not a problem to shower in cold water it's good for the circulation.

Host was super nice and helped us with organising currency exchange, phone card (for internet connection), and drivers to various places. She is very helpful and communicative, you can just ask her about the ideas where to go around if you have some spare time. The cooking is also amazing (we regret not asking about the recipe for fried rice, which is totally worthy of recommendation)! The area was clean and aesthetically pleasing. There is also air conditioning in the rooms. A note for those who think about renting scooters: roads in the area are a bit bumpy and driving is really different from what westerners are used to. From our experience at least, it seems safer to hire drivers.

It was located a little bit far from the city centre but we are well aware of it so not much of a problem. We arrived late night but they still wait and help to accomodate us. Every staff is friendly, breakfast is made upon request and it was good! They have several cute dogs that are super friendly. Love the overall look of the guesthouse, lovely and quiet place to stay! Recommended!
