It was a pleasant stay at Japa bungalow. Wayan the owner is a gem of a person always there to help you. The property was peaceful and just as described in the website. We had a wonderful stay and more so because of the warmth of the hosts. Clean rooms, good breakfast. The access to the property is on a little high area which you get used to. Overall a satisfying stay and would recommend.

We loved our stay in Japa Bungalow so much. Everything was perfect. There is only 4 rooms so it's really intimate and calm. The room was really clean and tidy. This homestay is held by Wayan and his lovely wife who makes delicious banana pancakes. They took care of us with such kindness. Wayan gave us a tour of his island and explained us a lot of its history. This encounter will stay in our memories forever. Suksma our friends 🙏🌞

Everything was perfect

Great stay, lovely people, nice pool and very clean!

It was hard to adjust the temperature of the shower.

Lovely hosts who will do anything to make your stay as nice as possible. Wayan waited for us at the harbor to drive us to the hotel. He arranged a snorkle trip and drived together with us to the meeting point. Wayan’s wife is also very sweet and helpful. She makes amazing banana pancakes in the morning.

We liked everything in Japa bungalows. The owners are welcoming and helping in any request. The place is central but quiet, As no other guests showed up during our stay we enjoyed the very beautyfull and hot swinning pool as a private one. The bungalows are really comfy and clean.

Great location on the island to explore the different spots on Penida. Breakfast was good, pool is clean and outside area is comfortable (however, just three beach chairs is not sufficient when fully booked, which was not the case)

Bungalows are quite old now, some stains were on the walls etc. There were many mosquitoes in the bathroom (10-15 at a time) every day again as the window cannot be closed, this was annoying.

The location was great. Its just 80 meters away from road that makes it very quiet. No road noise, at the same time very accessible. The place is in a very natural setting. The hosts were great and very helpful. The breakfast they prepared was simple but very tasty. Our kids loved the swimming pool. we had it pretty much to ourselves. The place is just 150 meters to couple of grocery stores and a wonderful restaurant Father Phill Bistro.

We enjoyed our stay at Japa Bungalow so much it was amazing. The owners are so lovely and helpful with everything. They picked us up and dropped us off to our boat and made us a lovely breakfast each morning. it’s in a great location and they offer motorbikes to hire for the day to ride around the island which made it so easy to get around. The room and pool was also lovely. Would recommend staying here to everyone!

- Good location to discover the north and west sides of the island. But also not too hard to drive to the west and south parts. We based ourselves here for our entire stay and would do the exact same thing again. - Comfortable bed and very good-working airco. - Everything is very clean. - Nice breakfast. - Nice restaurants at walking distance. Definitely ask the owners for recommendations. They know the good places! - Wonderful pool to swim and relax. - The owners are very kind and always ready to help out. They also can arrange scooter and car for an excellent price!

We loved our stay and would be happy to come back. A very small point of improvement is that the temperature of the shower is difficult to regulate, or too hot or too cold, and the shampoo and soap containers do not work well.

From the beginning the hosts were so cheery and helpful. The room was very clean and the surrounding areas were beautiful. We really enjoyed breakfast each morning which was delivered right to our own sitting area outside our room. The bungalows are located near some local restaurants but it’s easy to rent a bike and easier for getting around to the main sites. The hosts organised our snorkelling trip and our boat journey back to Bali. We ended up staying another night because we loved it so much, would highly recommend!!
