The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast is delicious, you get so much! We loved the homemade pancakes. We did complimentary yoga and meditation which was lovely. They do a free car to locations in Seminyak but book in advance as they get booked up. They cleaned the room every day and came every evening to spray bug repellant and pull down the curtains around the bed. We upgraded our free 15 min massage to a 60 min traditional Balinese massage which is one of the best massages we’ve had! It is also such a beautiful hotel, the photos don’t do it justice. We told them we were here for our honeymoon and they decorated the bed and filled the bath with rose petals. They also filled the fridge everyday with water, coconut water and biscuits.

The villa was stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly! Breakfast was amazing everyday and the food in the restaurant was really lovely and fresh. The main pool was beautiful and we swam in it almost everyday, I had a 90 minute massage at the spa which was beautiful. Personally we loved seeing all the little lizards, frogs and different insects (thankfully not a single spider!!), there are mosquitos around, but no more than the rest of Bali and staff were helpful with keeping them at bay. We cannot wait to return here and are already missing it!

Very friendly staff and a lovely, calm wellness vibe. Great to have the free drop off service to get to locations in Seminyak. The reception staff had excellent English and gave us recommendations for local beaches - we watched a beautiful sunset at Petitenget beach. Breakfast options were excellent - fabulous homemade pancakes. There were lovely nets around the bed to stop bugs getting in.

We could hear road noise from our bedroom which lasted into the night. Not too much of an issue for us as we wear earplugs to sleep but still audible. Wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper.

Brilliant property in the heart of seminyak Reaching restaurants/bars/clubs is super easy! Great staff, they are available 24X7 to attend to each of your requests, however big or small. Turn-down service at the hotel is great, the staff take a lot of care to maintain a very high standard of cleanliness at the property.

The resort (especially the outside area of the Spa villa) is in need of some renovation. Bali is a tropical island, and the rain and weather age the furniture a lot faster. If Amala invests some time and money, it would be one of the best properties in Seminyak! I wish them all the best, they're a great team!

We loved the clean, beautiful, and comfortable accommodation.a little oasis in seminyak. Beds and bedrooms were perfect for us The welcome massage was amazing, the best massage we had in bali. You have to do it. Staff were great. We had a few initial disappointments, but once we adjusted our viewpoint we just loved our stay and wished we could have extended it.

We didn't realise we would have so much noise from the street, the resort is on an intersection of a very busy main road and the first day/ night was sooo noisy, so sitting by the pool wasn't that relaxing because of constant horns beeping.... eventually we became accustomed to it though. We also didn't realise that the kitchen, dining and lounge and shower would be all open air so the only refugee from heat and mozzies are in the bedroom. Again, after a few days, we got used to it. The breakfast was a bit lacklustre although convenient.

The retreat is beautiful. Very tranquil and quiet with incredible polite and helpful staff. The location is only a short distance to the centre of Seminyak. The dining was also delicious and the small restaurant had a lovely secluded vibe. Our villa was large and had all the amenities required. The 24hr butler service was incredibly helpful. The hotel is very active in repelling mosquitoes which was a huge bonus for our stay. We would love to return on our next trip to Bali.

We were given a different villa to what was booked due to availability. The Villa was beautiful but located closest to the road which made it very noisy at night. There were also a few repairs and maintenance issues with locks, handles and pool tiles however this did not significantly impact our stay.

This villa was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the most amazing service from staff and the most beautiful property we have seen! Every time we needed something the staff were so quick to help and without hesitation. Everyone went over and above to make our stay a great one! Would highly recommend The Amala to anyone travelling to Seminyak, undoubtedly one of the best places I’ve stayed! Thank you all for your hospitality! ❤️

No faults

Staying at Amala was perfect, it was like a dream. Staff were extremely nice, helping and friendly and they made us feel like at home. Spa offered various treatments, we were even able to have yoga and sound bowl therapy. Breakfast was delicious, there was a lot of possibilities to choose from (oats, pastries, eggs, fresh fruits, salads + fresh juices, coffee,...). We have had most of the meals in the resort during our stay. We also used room service for dinner and you can call reception anytime (24/7), they bring you water, ...

That the stay with Amala ended. :)

The tranquility, the staff and the responsiveness to any query was beyond exceptional. The juices and the banana pancake was exceptional.

Random turning off of water mid day without notice. Breakfast probably needs some better options. Menu hasn’t changed much since pre Covid when I stayed last. The bubur ayam should probably have come with a proper chicken soup to accompany it not just the rice and a scattering of condiments. A Japanese breakfast like tamago or butterfish should properly be done the Japanese way….apart from presentation it wasn’t remotely Japanese. Cocktails was abysmal.

It is located at main shopping and restaurant street, although the surrounding is a noisy street but the hotel implemented soundproofing to the room that is effective to cut down noise entering the room. Similarly for mosquitoes proofing. Well done. Walking distance from famous Warung Made’s and CHASKAA modern Indian cuisine. Excellent food. The studio is good size and well furnished an added movable chair would be better. The breakfast is a highlight to the stay. Well done. Staff are friendly and helpful, first class. The WiFi reception within the premises is excellent The price for the room is well worth it.

The room could provide more power socket as most visitors would need to charge their devises. The open air portion of the bathroom could have overhead blind to prevent direct sunlight hitting the WC
