Joglo villa is overall great. Perhaps the most private, big and comparatively well protected from insects and flies. Beautiful Balinese architecture. Big bathroom. Amazing view from the wrap around balcony. Drinking Water dispenser in the room makes it very convenient. The whole property is extremely green and beautifully landscaped. Staff overall very friendly. Very peaceful, serene and relaxing. Overall, will definitely want to come back ine day..

The restaurant, as nice as it is, accepts non-hotel guests and is therefore busy and requires guests to book much in advance. Private plunge pool but the water a little too cold. No TV or speaker in the Villa, when asked were told that they want us to listen to the sounds of nature that's why...So keep this in mind if this matters to you. Food portions a little small.

Stunning location, absolutely beautiful resort, every corner you turn has a wow factor. Interior & exterior decorating superb. We highly recommend the Joglo for absolute privacy. Coffee was very high quality in particular at their cafe Citrus & Vine The staff were very engaging, kind and caring and catering for your every need(faultless) in particular Diah

I have difficulty in saying this as the rest of the resort was so amazing but was extremely disappointed in the food only in Asri Dining. Breakfast was good, expresso’s perfect. However found it difficult to choose something off the menu and they have weird food combinations that did not work. My partner and I really like authentic Indonesian food when in Bali, they had these options which were very bland in flavour.(the kitchen did attempt to try and make it more authentic). This however was not the issue, we eat anything with basically no restrictions We had to resort to eating out a lot as did many of the other guests we met. So disappointing for a high end resort and the promoting they do for Asri in particular .

The staff were very kind and friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. The Joglo room was beautiful and we particularly enjoyed the private pool. The restaurant was great, every meal was delicious and we really enjoyed the private romantic meals with flower decorations. The excursions organised by the hotel were also really fun. We also loved the location of the hotel in Sideman, views from the hotel were amazing over the rice fields and it was quiet and less touristy than other areas. The spa was also a 10/10 experience and the massages were fantastic.

We spent 2 nights in Samanvaya and wish we'd stayed a little longer. Sideman is a beautiful area, much quieter than other places we visited. The resort complex is lovely and well laid out. 2 separate pool areas with double lounging beds plus hot tubs/jacuzzis so plenty of space for guests to relax. The restaurant was fabulous - delicious food that attracts people from outside the hotel too. Breakfast was wonderful - lots of choices and plenty of food. We stayed in Moana villa which has wonderful views over the surrounding fields. Comfy bed and feels super cosy when the nets are down at nighttime. We both had treatments at the spa and these were great. Sideman rice terraces are definitely worth a visit - short taxi ride away and you can spend several hours there - they are stunning! Staff were all amazing too - highly recommend.

if you have a bit of a bug-phobia then be warned the villas are quite open (purposefully) which in the day is lovely for a bit of a breeze but at nighttime I found it a bit distressing (I always get munched) especially as the whole site is full of plants/greenery so lots of bugs/frogs/geckos etc. However the bedroom is more sealed and you sleep in a mosquito net so although you can still hear the bugs, they can't get you.

Beautiful decorated resort. The landscaping is superb, every detail is perfect. Beautiful pools overlooking the rice fields. Staff is very helpful and friendly . Rooms are large with beautiful interior design . Sidemen is a nice region , away from all the noise

Luxury, beautiful garden, delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. Also the massage in the spa was one of the best I’ve ever had

The rooms were a bit too close together, you could hear everything of one another. Pedicure was not worth the money at all unfortunately..

My apologies to anyone I missed, as there were many wonderful staff members. Yes, the villas are amazing, and the grounds are beautiful—stunning, in fact. Yes, Sidemen Valley is gorgeous, but it’s absolutely the people who make Samanvaya so special. Special thanks to: Sri, Ketut, Diah, Anila, Gusti and all the others. During our three-night stay, we got to know many of the staff, and more importantly, they all knew us and were incredibly attentive and helpful. We made countless requests of various kinds, and nothing was ever too much trouble. It never felt like just a job to them; they genuinely seemed happy to help. Over the four days, we stayed in Alila 2 villa, it was absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. It’s so spacious and you kinda feel like home. You get a perfect view over the rice fields and of the mountains - every - single - morning. Lovely Since Samanvaya was one of our stops during our honeymoon in Bali we also took a whole couple treatment at the “Ananda Spa” - 150min “Romance in the valley” Definitely recommend! The food (and cocktails!) from Asri Dining were delightful, as were the breakfasts. A very good variation of different dishes and drinks. I don’t understand how Asri would disappoint anyone. We especially liked the “Mongolian style chicken”, “Seared tuna” and the “pandan crepes” The driver “Gusti” took us around Sidemen so we could visit our desired spots: waterfalls, a temple, silver class and other stuff. He was very attentive and knows the surroundings inside out. If we’re lucky enough to travel back to Bali, Samanvaya is at the top of our list—if there is a list, that is. My partner even suggested that next time, our itinerary should be: Munich - Samanvaya - Munich. We’d be more than happy with that. Cheers Oona & Stephan

5 stars!! This is paradise on Earth!! We had the most amazing stay in Sidemen. We stayed in Joglo.. the private pool, amazing views and stunning interior made this trip outstanding! It truly is the most perfect honeymoon destination. We stayed for 2 nights and booked to do the scooter tour which was amazing.. little touches like bringing a towel for us to the waterfall so that we could get in. We also had a couples Balinese massage and it was the best massage I've ever had. Breakfast was served in our room each morning and the hotel food and drink was all just amazing!! We cannot rave enough about it!

We loved the Samanvaya, stunning property, the views, the grounds and two pools! The room was perfect, beautifully appointed, private and the bathroom was gorgeous. We enjoyed the nightly cocktail happy hour on the terrace, food in the restaurant was so good we dined there each night, spa treatment was next level amazing. We took a scooter tour to explore Sideman which we very much enjoyed. If you are looking for an exceptional resort experience in one of the most Beat spots in Bali you will not be disappointed at the Samanvaya.

Nothing it was perfect.

A stylish and well-run hotel with delightful staff. The gardens are beautifully designed and meticulously maintained, as is the whole property. Great views from all areas. The Asri restaurant is excellent, there are intimate dining areas in the garden setting, lovely ambiance especially at night. The menu was quite extensive and we were impressed by everything we ordered. We were in the Rice Barn villa, from the outside it was like a little hobbitt house with a cute entry and interesting architectural bamboo designs. The bedroom/living area was deceptively spacious and there was a little outdoor deck with a plunge pool overlooking the rice fields. The spa was good, great body scrub from Sri and excellent pedi thank you Desi.

The bathroom was downstairs under the living area, it was completely enclosed and dark.
