Villa is very nice. Room is comfortable and spacious. Bed is big and cozy. View of the forrest is stunning. And included breakfast is amazing, very delicious, lots of food included. Stuff is polite.

Villa was not that private, room and terrace is private, same as in normal hotel but pool is visible from restaurant upstairs and there is a path next to our villa, where people where passing all day (it's path to go to rafting) and looking at us while we're in the pool, little weird. Didn't like that. And also very bad smell was coming from the drain from hall, and because it's open concept bathroom it was very smelly. Also minus because they provide only two towels (no hands or face towels).

We stayed in the private pool villa, which offered a wonderful view. The staff were extremely friendly and made an effort to build a connection with us and other guests. The villa itself had an amazing view, and I really appreciated the warm hospitality. Despite some minor delays, I loved the atmosphere and the scenic beauty around the property.

While the villa had an incredible view, the breakfast didn't meet our expectations, and we didn’t enjoy it. Additionally, our request for an early check-in (1:40 PM) was politely declined, which I understood, but even when we arrived at the standard check-in time (2:00 PM), our room wasn't ready until 3:00 PM. We also had an issue with housekeeping. After agreeing to have the room cleaned, we returned three hours later only to find it still hadn’t been done, and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes. It was a bit frustrating, but overall, the place had potential with a few improvements.

The team at black penny villas cannot be rivalled. Their kindness, smiles and personal touches made our stay so special. No matter the time of day, when we returned there was always someone to greet us. Nothing was too much trouble and here we were able to truly relax and unwind. The property is in an amazing location and the views of the rainforest from our pool and bed were the best. Food on site was good and the mini bar reasonably priced. The extra experiences from floating breakfasts to romantic dinners, cooking classes and massages were all 10/10 experiences and some highlights of our honeymoon.

The only downside (and it does not take away from this amazing stay- I would 100% go back) was that it is impossible to bug proof this room. There are gaps under and between all of the doors and the stunning bathroom being outdoors has no way of being shutoff effectively from the bedroom. This means we did get bitten a little at night by mosquitos which is something we wanted to avoid. They did provide sprays and plug ins but these were not as effective.

the view is outstanding , breakfast is delicious and the staff is super friendly and very very helpful. booked a two night stay and i regret not staying more. special thanks to MILA , ANGUS , SRI and most improtantly the driver panya and the rest of the team for making this trip look amazing.

My stay at Black Penny Villas was truly unforgettable! Our private pool villa with a stunning valley view offered the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. The floating breakfast was a highlight, combining delicious food with an incredible setting. The staff’s warm welcome and attentive service made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Ms. Sri, the manager, and all the staff for making our experience so memorable. I highly recommend Black Penny Villas for anyone seeking a serene and unique getaway!

We liked the infinity pool with the view to the jungle, the staff was very kind and friendly, the food was good. The location is nice and they offered us complimentary drive to Ubud center each day at 11:00. Otherwise you can take Grab and in 15-20 min you can reach the center by car. We also like the spa treatments we tried (some at the villa, others at some nearby spa center with which they collaborate - excellent spa therapists). We really enjoyed our stay in Black Penny.

The furniture could be a little refurbished here and there.

We stayed at one of the two Deluxe Pool Villas with River View the hotel has. Villa no. 10, precisely. The best one in the hotel with a wonderful infinity pool overlooking the beautiful river and the forest / jungle. Not obstructed views from anywhere in our Villa - all other rooms are at the back - and so much privacy. Villa has a great layout in a perfect beautiful Bali’s style. Very good variety of options for breakfast; we loved to have breakfast by our pool every morning, a complimentary service we didn’t expect. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Room and facilities were well cleaned and maintained.

Water of the pool was a bit cold. Laundry service was very expensive and some related fees we had to pay were not disclosed when we book the service. We stayed for a week in the most expensive room of the hotel for our honeymoon and used lots of “extra services”, it would have been a kind gesture if the hotel would have offered something such as honeymoon decoration or a glass of wine (other hotels where we stayed even just for 2 nights decorated the room specifically for our honeymoon although we hadn’t ask for it).

Views are amazing but that’s all about it. Location is ok, not to far from Center but taxi is needed to move around unless you want to walk an hour to go to city centre. Food is tasty.

Customer service for the price you pay is so so, if ordering room service bare in mind you gonna wait some time to get the food, one day we even got the food and it was cold. They charge extra every time they order a taxi for you, so better get the app of gojek and order yourself because sometimes the price was double if ordering from hotel. I am little disappointed because for the price you pay I was expecting little more to be honest.

Initially, we booked a room for three days, but the stay was so enjoyable that we extended it for one more day. The room was spacious, and it featured a great terrace with a view of the pool and valley. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The area was quiet, just 2 km away from the city center. We would definitely come back.

Cleanliness issues were noted. One day, breakfast was served in dirty cups. Additionally, the bath towels have lost their whiteness, and the pool towels also need replacement.

We received the warmest greetings possible!!! The staff, ALL of them were really nice and willing to help. They value our privacy. They organized everything absolutely perfect! Breakfast is very delicious, dinner options are amazing. The pool was clean and the view from it was astonishing. Everything was beyond my expectations!!! And above all is the team with their positive and warm attitude towards us.
