Location was great especially views from the rooftop. Tranquil area with nice outlook from the balcony. Staff were very helpful each time I made a request. I stayed at the same hotel last year and noticed they have made small improvements to their rooms (eg. repairing areas where needed). This is a positive sign that the property owner is constantly reviewing and improving the condition of the rooms and facilities. Please keep this up.

The water pressure is often quite low in the shower. The hot water takes a long time to turn on. Would be good if these areas can be improved.

Really loved everything about this place! So much so that I extended my stay ☺️ It’s far enough from the main hub of Ubud that you don’t hear any of the noise or traffic. Yet still close enough that you can take a short 10-15min walk (depending on fitness levels) into town whenever you want (or a super cheap Gojek) The lush green gardens are beautiful and so peaceful with the sounds of the water from the koi pond. They do a great breakfast at a great price too! The street also has a number of Warung’s that you can eat at for dinner with super tasty food! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend to stay here if you want to still be close to town but want the peace of being out of town. Thought I would also mention that the property is only accessible by their buggy, no cars can access the property. It’s really no issue, I was travelling with a surfboard and they got me there fine. But I just wanted to mention incase it’s an issue for others ☺️

There isn’t really anything I didn’t like about this property. The only things that I found were a VERY MINOR inconvenience were that the water refill station was in the kitchen so I could only access it if the staff were in the kitchen. The bed was very firm which I don’t mind at all but some people may find this off putting.

The room was a good size with shelves for clothes, an electric jug, comfortable bed, a cooling pump, sufficient power points, lovely bathroom, and screens. The fish pond and pool made a beautiful setting - wear bug repellent. You could cool off by dipping into the pool anytime. They have an electric cart so you don't have to drag your bags up and down the walking trail where Hidden Padma is located. Close to great restaurants, massage, and markets, yet very quiet. Lovely breakfast.

The staff are always full of smiles and it made my stay so warm and welcoming. Location of the hotel is nested among nature and I wake up to the sound of crickets and also spotted squirrels at my balcony. I am here for yoga and a good studio is located 3 mins away, so it was perfect for morning practices. They helped clean the room everyday and kept it spotless. If anything isn’t spotted in the room like blanket and hairdryer, do ask the staff and they could get it ready (:

They are a little hidden from the main road, only accessible by scooter and foot. You will have to access the main street through Penestanan stairs, which is honestly a climb back up and dark past 7pm.

Well worth the effort to get there, if you ring the hotel they pick up, by golf buggy, no car access. Past the meeting shelter ( like a bus stop) . It’s a retreat , so beautiful surroundings, and away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre. Will not be disappointed if you put the effort in . Access by motorcycle so far and handy to get about , but we don’t like motorcycles, little shop opposite for basics and they do takeaways, excellent value .

An absolutely dream space to be immersed in. A great view of the greenery of Ubud with an awesome sunset view of Gunung Adeng & Lesung. The pool area was divine, the decor of the outside Garden & pool was full of love & it really was a sacred space to embrace. I felt like I was in a bubble of Bliss. Great location to explore the hidden gem cafes & the Natural spaces of Ubud or near to the busier town if needed. Staff were super friendly & kind.

The Hot water wasn't functioning in the Shower which in the evening was needed when the temperature dropped. There could have been some more towel hooks/rails + hand towels & soap at the sink in the bathroom & pool towels. Plus a traditional Asian/Indo toilet spray to accompany the paper.

Perfect location - close to everything in Ubud yet very quiet and peaceful on a lovely street. Zest and Alchemy is 5min walk. Amazing tropical garden with a very nice pool. Loved my room by the pool where I stayed for 1 week. It’s not accessible by car, but they provide complementary transfer to the pickup location.

There is no sun in pool area in the morning.

This hotel is in the perfect location for all your main needs; walking distance to the centre of Ubud, close to delicious restaurants, and a short walk to some of the best yoga spots (not to mention beautiful surroundings and views of the mountains). The staff are also incredibly attentive, kind, and fun to chat to- I highly recommend Hidden Padma! However, there are a few things some people might want to consider before they book that are typical across Bali: 1) like most Balinese architecture, the hotel is semi-open so expect a few leaves, insects, or even rain to get into the corridors and balconies. This may even cause some damp in the rooms, but the staff are constantly cleaning so you won’t have to worry about it for long! 2) you might find some stains on the bedding or towels. I can assure you that everything is perfectly clean, but if this is off putting the staff will give you new bedding or towels anytime you need! Your room can also be fully cleaned any time you want, just ask. Your personal laundry can be taken and dropped back at the hotel for 20k per kg, or there are plenty of laundrettes in the surrounding area! 3) the mattresses are a little hard for anyone not used to it, but I think it helped fix the kink in my back! 4) don’t expect great WIFI in your rooms for remote working. There are electric sockets in the dining area which has good WIFI and is usually empty! A 30-35gb SIM should last the month hotspotting video calls day-in day-out. 5) the breakfast range is limited but all the food is delicious and comes with juice and coffee/ tea for 35k, so you won’t go hungry (I recommend the pancakes!). There are also plenty of shops, fruit stalls, and cafes close by for more variety. Overall, I had a great stay- Matur Suksma!

The swimming pool was really nice (although at night there were a a lot of mosquitoes as expected as there are a lot of trees and a little lake in the property) and the room was big as well with a big shower. You can rent a motorbike in the hotel. It is quite and a little bit far from the chaos that is the center of ubud.

The hotel is a little bit hidden in a street that you can only enter with motorbike or walking so to reach it by car was impossible but staff from the hotel gave a meeting point that cars can reach and then they help you going to the hotel by motorbike. If you want to go walking to the center of ubud you will need to walk a bit and in streets that were not made for people to walk on them (mainly at night).

Short version this place is great! Definitely recommand if you are in Ubud for a short hop or just want a clean comfy place to stay. The owner himself and also the staff were very friendly (the honest and not over the top artificial friendly!) helpful and in a relaxing not pushing way checking in if one needed something. It's very new as of the time of this review (May 2022) hence still in prestine condition considering it being Bali aka the tropics where nature impacts structures differently then in central Europe or the states. The garden and pool area is refreshingly structured. Not the typical flat boring poolside. What's been the most amazing for me by far though was the bed. Contrary to many other places it is not a boxspring bed which is not exactly ideal for sleep and health for several reasons, but a relatively firm foam mattress of high quality. Of course everyone is slightly different when it comes to sleep and what they are used to, but when you like a rather firm bed where your body has a good support as opposed to a super soft bed where you almost disappear when hopping in, then you will like the beds a lot. :) There is even a small shala space on top overlooking the penestanan area.. it's beautiful.
