The staff (Nania) welcomed us and helped us arranged everything as we needed. We had a small complain regarding a sunrise tour which was arranged with a third party (Ostic was not responsible for that) and Nania took the responsibility and fixed it. We even got paid back from the tour company upon our small complain. Super staff. The location is perfect to have a walk in the evening to music cafes and the best restaurants around. The rooms were clean and tidy. Airco worked perfectly. We had a great time there.

The toilet had a foul smell and there is only one bathroom for the dorms.

The hostel is located in an area surrounded by many different bars and restaurants, not just Indonesian style, you can find amazing bakeries, homemade gelato and Mediterranean food. Many bars offer live music during the weekends. The staff is very kind and ready to help you with everything: excursions, renting scooters, local food, booking transportation, etc. Special mention to Saturday, he made a real culture exchange with us, inviting us to his house for breakfasting during Ramadan, among other things.

Nothing to mention related to Ostic.

I came here directly from the station under the drizzle morning with my friend around 7 am. We were greeted warmly by the front officer Sis Nira. Eventhough the check in time was still several hours ahead, we were welcomed to use the lobby guest facilities such as the shared kitchen, water dispenser, the fridge to put some food, shared bathroom, pool and the muslim praying room (mushalla). When we finally got into our room (family room), I was surprised that they accomodated us with free water bottles, toiletries and towels. It's really affordable, comfortable and clean alhamdulillah. Thanks a lot. Definitely would like to stay here again if we visit Jogjakarta again.

All the Staff working here were lovely and super helpful at arranging all tours/drivers and giving suggestions for restaurants and nearby activities and just overall great people. Great location, easy to get around city while not in the hustle and bustle. Massage option available on site - and very affordable!

No sink in the bathroom- fine to use shower but just so others are prepared if they have this particular room. Also bathroom smell a bit overpowering in room even with door closed. Not the most social for solo travelers.

Best staff ever, so friendly and helpful, they can give you great advice with everything you need, they even have a maps where they can show you all the good eateries around. Also keeping the place clean and nice. Location is great,quiet but so many places in walking distance, prefer it much more than busy center near Marioboro. The communal place is really cosy and comfy, swimming pool is small but good for a dip when it's hot. It's great there is a kittchen. And free pool to play!

Would be nice if there would be more dorms so there would be more backpackers coming.

Pamela and her colleagues are really professional and welcoming! Everything worked out flawlessly and we extended our stay. Pamela was always kind and helpful and every room we had was clean and cozy. Ostic has a nice vibe and you can hang around at the pool table. It is in cool neighbourhood (some chill cafes and bars, restaurants but also nice street food) and close to attractions such as the Taman Sari.

In our last room we did not have a sink in the bathroom. No big problem for us, just maybe some people would mind.

A hostel for young people, with a little swimming pool as well as billiard facility, on which our students were spending lots of time. One separate room for a student who wanted to have his own room suffered from that extremely small size of that. I liked my room, although the stairs were made of steep metals. The staff is very kind.

The hostel consistentlt provide good service and clean facility, similar as we visited last time. Located strategically in the centre of Yogyakarta, close to many destinations within Yogyakarta area. The family room we stayed in also spacious for our family with big bathroom as well.

The 2 comments we can hope for improvements are: 1. The bathroom in the room has unpleasant smell which you need to overcome somehow. Same unpleasant smell like when we stayed previously. 2. Pool table located in the centre of the main entrance is blocking access to the hostel, especially when somebody playing it. You need to shifted a bit to give way for people to comfortably enter the hostel.

A good location. I was with 7 university students. They loved being there as they could enjoy playing billiard and their favorite pizzateria is within their walking distance.

The iron stairs to my room were steep. Especially going up and down there with suitcases is a risky thing to do.
