Jim our host was wonderful and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and he provided useful information on the area and good places to eat. The property was so clean and rooms very spacious. Generous supplies of toiletries and tea and coffee were provided. The breakfast was the best we had during our tour of Ireland. Abundant amounts of fresh and high quality produce was provided from fresh fruit salad, yoghurt,home baked bread, scones, croissants, ham, cheeses and salmon. On the Sunday morning we had a very tasty full Irish cooked breakfast. Thank you so much Jim for a very pleasant stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

It was a very good location for accessing the Greenway as there's a laneway close by to the house that leads directly to it. There was also a secure place to keep your bike. The rooms were very comfortable and the garden was beautiful and made our stay pleasant. The owner was very helpful. I liked the guest sitting room.

I have no complaints. I would stay again.

We wanted a location between Galway and Dublin. The room was lovely and immaculate! We did not require breakfast as leaving early for airport. Be aware that they no longer serve breakfast, but the in-room coffee service was perfect! It is close to local visitor sites, such as Clonmacnoise monastic ruins and Sean’s Bar (5 minutes into town center). Beautiful home in quiet surroundings.

Nice and Cosy room, comfortable bed. Jim gave us a lift to Athlone to get breakfast before the funeral.

Bedlinen a bit tacky!!. Nice white bed linen would be better.. No breakfast in a B&B¡. I booked on the evening before as I was going to a funeral. I assumed there would be breakfast. I got a message late in the evening that there was no breakfast, but too late to change.

Clean and comfortable and nice hosts.

I would’ve liked a bit more info. About the use of the whirlpool tube, availability of iron. There was a desk, but it wasn’t useful as such as it served as a tea station. I could’ve rearranged but after a work’s day I couldn’t bother. Working was a bit uncomfortable.

This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀

It was clean and comfortable. Jim welcomed me when I arrived & showed me to my room.

I was woken up by some guests arriving back late but it was a Saturday evening. It would be good to have the offer of a continental breakfast. I knew though when booking they had stopped doing cooked breakfasts.

Warm welcome from Jim when we arrived..and safe parking for our bicycles. Jim also allowed us to recharge ebike batteries in the bike shed. And he kindly provided fresh buns for our arrival! Only issue is no breakfast provided but Jim was able to advise us of cafes nearby. Spotless very comfortable bedrooms.

Easy property to find, 25 minute walk into town. I stayed in room 4. Upstairs in a lovely well maintained property. Better room than I had expected. Large and very nice shower room. Coffee making facilities in the room. Free parking on site off the road at front of property.

No breakfast option.

The host was exceptional. We had to leave early in the morning and he made a special effort to get up early and then sent us off with coffee, croissants and scones. In addition, we left an electric toothbrush behind and he has kindly posted it free of charge. We’d certainly recommend Shemalier.

The only down side - there was no remote in the room, possibly taken by a former client, but we got back after dinner too late to disturb and ask for another.
