Accessible to the whole village. Able to get dropped off and picked up from property with no issues. Staff very friendly and helpful. Stairs which were a little tough for elderly family member. But seats at top in a beautiful rest area, which helped. Our room was very spacious and met all our needs. Mattress superb. Minis supplied and towels. Plus tea/coffee set used. There’s a beautiful smokers/outside area near our room, that we enjoyed. Despite just booking a room/twin bed only, We had both breakfast and lunch in the restaurant the next day (it was recommended by other eateries in the village which is some recommendation indeed 🥰) the portions are generous in size. And a great range. We had a lovely overnight stay in room 6. The staff recognised MIL mobility issues and were very helpful and patient so she didn’t feel rushed. Every where was clean and fresh. The staff very attentive.
Stairs were a bit tough for my mother in law. But my fault for not considering her mobility issues on the booking.

Location is perfect for this beautiful colourful village. Some lovely walks & historic buildings. In addition there are a few bars with plenty of character & charm. The hotel is lovely & the restaurant serves some first class food, absolutely delicious with a great selection for all food types. The staff were friendly, kind & very helpful. We had a standard double room which was fine for our one night stay. We were also fortunate to park right outside the hotel, however there are a couple of car parks a few minutes walk from hotel too.
Nothing to dislike at all.

We stayed here as friends were getting married in the Four Seasons around the corner. So so clean, warm and modern. Staff were so friendly. The SHOWER 🤤 we stayed in room 10 and you could increase the pressure of the water - HEAVEN. Hotel is fabulous for the cost, really good value for money. Breakfast was included in our rate, but we would have bought anyway it was beautiful. Already looking forward to returning!
Nada. Couldn’t fault it.

It felt like I'd stepped back in time in this place, in a good way! The room was fine, nothing exciting, but I loved the pub/restaurant and various areas to hang out in and relax. The hotel ambience was relaxing, inviting. I expected Yeats to walk in at any moment. There's a little courtyard we didn't discover til the day we were leaving. Be sure to check that out! Staff were friendly, helpful, welcoming. It's a lovely location in the centre of what I'd call a small town with a village feel. I wish we'd booked a longer stay. There are interesting sites to visit close by. I enjoyed the shops around the hotel. Of all the places I visited in my 3 weeks in Ireland, this was one of the few I'd pick to live in if I had the desire to move!
The room was very basic which isn't a bad thing if you just want a comfy bed for the night. It had the necessities. The window provided some bright natural light, but nothing you wanted to look at. However, a different room might have been more pleasant, if you need that.

The room looked far nicer than the photographs, the beds were comfy, the breakfast was excellent. The location is excellent for going to Carlingford Castle and there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants around. Don't book if you want an early night as it's above a bar but the hotel clearly states this.
Our bathroom door (room 7) didn't open from the inside. We both nearly got locked in without our phones which wouldn't have been ideal. We didn't so it was kind of amusing. We brought this to staff attention so hopefully this issue is fixed for the next traveler.

The hotel is in the center of the village of Carlingford, a lovely village where we like to take a short break during the year. The hotel has all the needs for a short break , great food ,comfortable room , and excellent staff .
Nothing , when we come to Carlingford we usually have a meal out with our daughter ,her partner and their children . The staff reserve the same section of the restaurant which we really enjoy .

Booked as was attending a wedding in the nearby Four Seasons Hotel. Perfect location as was about a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We hadn't breakfasts included in our room rate but just paid there for a lovely breakfast in the bar. Overall perfect for our needs and I would return.

Clean comfortable small hotel in the middle of Carlingford's medieval village. The hotel has no parking of its own, but parking is free everywhere in the village and we had no trouble finding a spot. Room was not huge but super comfortable with a king sized bed and excellent bathroom. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and everybody was super friendly.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel on both evenings and it was delicious. We both thoroughly enjoyed Oven baked fresh hake with fresh prawns, mussels and spinach poached in white wine cream. Next evening my choice was from the specials, hake and mussels in pasta and hubby had the jumbo scampi, which was indeed as described and again both were delicious .
Had breakfast one morning, but bacon and sausages tasted deep fried. Ordered from a menu, nothing on display.
