We had an amazing stay! Our hosts we're very welcoming. Due to a car problem, we thought we needed to shorten our stay and the host was very helpful with trying to get a bokking in place for ours, but luckily, our rental got exchanged and fixed up so we could enjoy our 2 day stay at last. The breakfast options were great, and the offer of fresh fruit was far more than in any place else we've been on our trip to. Great full Irish breakfast, also veggie option, and actually some other guests had distinct requests which were taken care of too. The bed was amazing, and the room and bathroom were clean and tidy, actually prepped with all sorts of thoughtful things! We really did enjoy our stay and took the recommendations to visit some beaches nearby, literally 5min drive away. Would definitely visit again! Thanks alot. We had a splendid end of our Ireland trip.

Nothing, really. We didn't mind keeping our blinds down once we relaxed a bit during the day since we were located towards the driveway yard..

This was our fourth vacation in Ireland. And we visited Scotland a few times, too. Everywhere we found very nice B&Bs, but this lodge stunned us. The place is beautifully conceived and maintained, with lots of outdoor space and facilities. Our room had wonderful furniture and bed linen, definitely the most "palace-like" we ever experienced. The attention to details and the way we were taken care of were top notch. Complimentary snacks and chips, along with very good coffee, were provided. Conditioner and hand cream added to the most usual toiletries. Even sanitary pads, make-up removal disks and cotton swabs were provided. Plus, together with a really effective hairdryer, a hair straightener was inside the wardrobe. First time ever. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Given the current accommodation prices, what we paid for this excellent B&B was a surprisingly small amount. Highly recommended.

No downsides at all.

Beautiful property and space. Very high level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Host Elaine was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond taking us & another couple into nearby Carlingford for the evening. We will definitely be back - the outdoor space was lovely too and would be very relaxing in the summer months.

Nothing of fault.

The rooms had everything you needed from tea, coffee maker in the room?!? And a full fridge stocked with crisps, treat's and water. There was an option for a lift into town and the breakfast the next day was cooked to perfection with a smile and a chat. The host Elaine was so accommodating and lovely. We had booked this B&B before and COVID ruined our plans and unfortunately our booking had to be cancelled. We were eager to rebook and I am so glad we did. The views around the house and the finer details in the garden were exceptional. We came back from this trip more relaxed than we have ever done staying in a chain hotel. We will most definitely be booking again!

Our hosts were generous with their time and helpful information that they provided us. They taught us a great deal about the local customs and culture and encouraged us to visit with people representing the community. Our rooms were delightfully furnished, the public rooms were planned and built to easily accommodate a number of visitors, and the grounds were abloom with flowers and shrubs. Our hosts have created an ideal environment close to attractions yet restful and peaceful.

Nothing more

There is no good or bad accomondation. There is value for money only. Not typical b&b.Each room with its own entrance, which makes them suits. You don't interfere with a host or bothering anyone when coming back at 1 or 2am.Brilliant yard.Plenty of relaxation and smoking area.Breakfast comes fresh at time you arrange with the host.Breakfast room really quiet and cosy.Host itself very professional and organised.Helpfull but not annoying. Leaves you alone. Coming back again 100%.Looking no further.

No red carpet or a complimentary escort. Baby spider over shower in right corner. But I'll close one eye on those few.

The place itself was beautiful, and so nicely decorated for Christmas. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating and really couldn’t have been nicer. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous. Couldn’t fault a single thing! We will definitely stay again if we happen to be in the area!

The outdoor space was fabulous!!!!! So many places to sit and beautiful flowers!Quirky signs, water features, an outdoor bar area, bbq area, even a trampoline build into the ground. Very very thoughtfully designed and an absolute joy to walk around whilst taking in the views. The accommodation had everything you could think of and more. A full kitchen which we didn’t expect and all spotlessly clean. The owners are LOVELY people. We got a lift into Carlingford and they really went the extra mile 😊

My stay was beautiful and the room was beautiful breakfast was outstanding and it’s one of the best places I have stayed at in long time . Please if you book you have to go there see the views etc .

I liked it with my partner and could not fault it the only thing is you need a car to get there as it is out in the countryside . You could get the train from Belfast to Dundalk or Dublin and get a taxi there from local company . I’m not sure about buses but all I can say if you like walks in beautiful days the views are amazing so don’t take my word you have to stay to see what I mean many thanks for my stay I hope to go back there again in the summer months best wishes Hugh .
