If you're going to Cashel mainly to visit the Rock of Cashel (which is well deserving of a visit!), Rockville House is very conveniently located. Our room had an excellent view of the Rock, which is impressive, and quite beautiful, including when illuminated at night.

Nothing much to add. We did have an issue checking in, because the owner was in the back fixing the plumbing with a jack-hammer, so couldn't hear us "buzzing" to get let in, even though we were expected in that time frame. Probably just a one-time odd situation, and otherwise our host was quite friendly, with a good sense of humor.

Patrick is a hoot! His welcome, his humour and his warmth were all welcome bonuses after a long day’s drive from Holyhead. The location for the sites and facilities of Cashel is excellent, while having a car park so close to the centre is very helpful. We thought the accommodation competitively-priced for what it was.

The B&B is rather old-fashioned in its ambience. Breakfast is also old-fashioned, the sole nod to modernity being the addition of muesli to the cereal offering! B&B breakfasts have moved on in range and offering. Having said that, the fried breakfast was excellent. In his welcome, Patrick forgot to mention the availability of tea and coffee at other times in the dining room, or where breakfast was served, so make sure you ask! Having said all this, if ever in Cashel again, we would return!

Our host was great and has a fun sense of humor. The room and bathroom were clean and attention to detail were superb. You can see the Rock of Cashel from the premises and it's about a 5 minute walk to the site. There are a fair amount of dining and drinking options within 5 minutes as well. Cashel is super cute and the people are very nice. We had a tasty and affordable lunch at Davern's Bar and drinks at TJ Ryan Traditional Pub later that night. Both were great. We had an excellent full Irish breakfast the next morning, paid for our room, and were on our way.

Within 5 minute walk of the Rock of Cashel. Within walking distance of good restaurants. Nice clean, comfortable room. Operators didn’t try to cram an extra bed into an otherwise comfortable size room. Facilities were modern and well kept. Breakfast was more than adequate, with fried egg, sausage, beacon, cereal, bread, fruit, yogurt, etc.

There was private parking available, but it would have been a little tight for 4 vehicles, even if they were small. We parked comfortably on the street across from the property.

The breakfast was great and they were very accommodating of our various dietary needs. The owners were also very friendly and courteous during our stay there. The location of the B&B was beautiful and had a great view of the Rock of Cashel which was amazing to see during the sunrise. Less than a 5 minute walk to the front gate, it was a prime location and also a great walking distance to the town area. The rooms were nice and spacious and was very comfortable for the night.

The bathroom was a bit tight so it was hard to logistically move around when there is more than one person sharing the room. The bedroom itself was very spacious but the bathroom in comparison was a bit smaller than expected and the warm water was limited but it did not impact our stay in the slightest

Excellent location, we ate breakfast while gazing out at Cashel Rock. The friendliest and most accommodating hosts in Patrick and Heidi. What you expect from a traditional B&B stay, a great breakfast and a great room. Patrick lit the woodstove in the afternoon and we sat by it and enjoyed a cup of tea while planning our next days activities. Our only problem was Patrick offered to turn up the heat and then we were too warm, but he kindly turned it off for us and we slept great. We would definitely return for another visit.

The room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was very good and accommodation tariff was very competitive.. The location is only a short walk - less than 5 minutes to the Rock of Cashel and on site parking was beneficial. Our host Patrick was a character and very helpful.

Nothing we did not like apart from having a first floor room which meant taking suitcases up the stairs but as we found this is very common with B&B accommodation in Ireland.

The host, Patrick, was absolutely hilarious! He is missing his calling as he would be an outstanding stand up comedian! Every minute we spent with him was filled with laughter. His B&B was spotlessly clean, located right in the middle of town and right below the Rock of Cashel. He served a full breakfast each morning in a dining room heated by a coal fire. The beds were very comfortable and a welcome refuge at the end of each day. We loved every minute there.

Not a thing -we rate this as the very highest 10!

You can't beat the location of this establishment with the view of The Rock, especially lit up at night, but more importantly, this Bed and Breakfast is run by a family with a lot of heart and soul. From the way that they treat you, you would think that you are their most treasured guest. I had booked a room for two people, which one might think would be a romantic couple, but upon seeing my 83 year old mother and me, Patrick "somehow" gave us a room that actually had two bedrooms attached so that we had our own beds. The breakfast was outstanding and more than we could possibly finish, but more importantly to us, our hosts seemed to have made personal connections to each and every guest, and the bantering and laughter throughout the place made us feel that we were in a beloved home.

Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The 'Rockville' is perfectly located central to the main areas of Cashel, and with a breath taking view of 'The Rock of Cashel' outside, and inside from the guest breakfast room. Breakfast each morning was delicious with numerous options provided by the host. Our host, Patrick, he was the human whirlwind. nothing was too much trouble for him, he had some great advice on the area, and best of all was his amazing sense of humour and ability to get us all smiling, if not killing ourselves with laughter.
