Anner Hotel was lovely. Staff was polite, helpful, and very happy to stop and chat with us. The swimming pool was really nice. The receptionist gave my children toys to play with in the pool which they liked. Restaurant was lovely staff were happy to waiter us, Food was delicious. Rooms were nice and clean, and breakfast was fabulous. The hotel was very pretty and was decorated with lots of christmas decorations. Will look forward to returning again in the future.

To put this as politely as possible. The first thing I didn't like was when I first opened the door to our room after checking in there was a awful smell of discharge (poo) coming from the toilet both myself and partner noticed it. I opened all the windows, and the smell did eventually go. It wasn't pleasant to first walk into as we had been travelling all day.

Excellent food. Great value on the New Years Eve deal. Four course meal at €50 per head was brilliant. Good breakfast options also and all the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Nice room & good location

Checked in and went straight for a shower but there was no body wash or conditioner in the room. Went down to the bar and what I assume is the head bar man served me a pint of guinness that was basically thrown at me. The pint wasn't great so I switched to a pint of cider which cost me €7. Way overpriced The music on New Year's Eve finished at 12:20am! Not much of a party. And the countdown to New years began at 12:02am!! The singer explained he had the flu so it seemed he couldn't wait to get out of there.

Receptionist at check in was superb. Efficient and friendly. Nice to see a male receptionist in a hotel for a change. Comfortable and freshly cooked fry. Lovely. Staff member at host desk not very friendly but two other staff members including what looked like the GM came over and could not be nicer. Dinner previous evening (duck) was superb and staff couldn't be friendlier. Room was very nice but couldn't find where to control the heat (too warm)

The unfriendliness when I arrived in the restaurant by the host at breakfast but more than compensated by others.

Booked a room overnight while heading to Thurles racecourse. Check in isn’t usually available until 3pm however I was pleasantly surprised when they had my room ready for me at half 11 which was a nice unexpected bonus. Room was clean and tidy and the smart tv was very good. Drink in the bar was reasonably priced and the Irish coffee I’d ordered was excellent!

One very minor little thing was that the beans at breakfast had the presentation of being reheated and “sitting out” over time. This of course is a very small issue. However, the breakfast was very good overall with a excellent choice available.

A lovely hotel. Enjoyed a delicious carvery lunch on arrival, well priced and a friendly welcoming service. Enjoyed a few beers that night in the bar. Comfortable and easy atmosphere in the small room just off the bar area. Breakfast was good, a nice selection of cold foods and juices. The hot food was very slow to arrive though.

The bedroom was far too hot. The thermostat controller on the radiator was broken off so we couldn't adjust the temperature in the room. Otherwise the room was great. Beds comfortable with nice bed linen.

Hotel is beautiful, staff were amazing. Bed and pillows were the best iv ever slept in. Apart from one, the rest of the staff in the bar were brilliant

One of the bar staff (older gentleman) was very unapproachable, seemed to not want to be there and was very grumpy. Food was amazing but unfortunately I am gluten and dairy free and made hotel aware of this at time of booking, when we checked in, when we booked our table for dinner, and when we were being seated. Staff went above and beyond to come back with a menu fully detailed on what I could have and what they would change, only for my food to come out with dairy all on it. So that was a big disappointment, as I ate a few mouthfuls without realising. So needless to say I spent most of the evening and next morning in the room. But the waitress was so lovely and checked in on me a few times to make sure I was OK.

Rooms where clean and comfortable.

We booked to stay on a Saturday night . There was other events on in the hotel at the time , so took us 3/4 of an hour to get parking . What was most disappointing was there was 3 or maybe 4 parking spaces for charging your car These were all full of cars not charging and not even electric cars . On busy days they really need someone in the car park . We rang the receptionist as wait on the car park for any space , and told them , we are guest staying and we couldn’t get a space They simply said we are busy Nothing we can do

The place itself is lovely, a 10 minute walk from the train station Room Clean and nicely appointed. Tea/Coffee facilities Heating Breakfast Hybrid Buffet / Service Hot food is ordered from the table - full Irish was excellent, best rashers I've had in a hotel Buffet was also very good, pastries and cold meats etc, with a surprisingly excellent selection of cheeses! Not just the usual single slices of generic cheese, there were soft and blue cheeses also Dinner The Dinner was terrific, I had black pudding starter and duck main and both were terrific. My wife and daughter similarly enjoyed their meals, the staff were very friendly and just the right level of attentive. The set menu is fantastic value for the quality of the food - would recommend

For a 4-Star hotel, I think the room should have had ironing facilities and also robes and slippers for the pool. There was a GAA dance that night and people were partying in the corridors, parking lot etc until around 3am which significantly impacted our sleep

We stayed in the beautiful Maher Suite. It was a lovely spacious room with a huge ensuite and everything you'd need for a stay in a hotel, including a shaving kit. The bed was lovely and comfortable and there were 2 beautiful chairs in front of fireplace & TV. We were only expecting a double room, but this was an unexpected surprise.

Absolutely nothing, I would highly recommend the Anner hotel and especially the Maher Suite.

Fine, bacon too thick for our liking, personal preference! Service a tad eratic, asked 3 times or not at all. We got the impression from the waiting on staff that personnel were mainly just training, therefore came to conclusion that they are from catering or hotel management college!

Housekeeping was inconsistent, cups washed one day and not the next, times visited eratic.
