Gorgeously decorated guest house in a brilliant quiet spot - but only a few mins walk to the cafes/shops/pubs on Baggot Street. We stayed in a double room on the ground floor and it was very cosy. We would stay here again but would probably book a bigger room. This is a room-only venue so no breakfast option. We didn't mind as it was so close to everything and we just walked everywhere for a few days and were blessed with blue skies. The reception staff were helpful and kind enough to let us check in early. Everywhere was immaculate and we enjoyed it very much.

Not really any complaints. The only niggle - on the website it states: - Situated in Ballsbridge Dublin 4, just off the bustling Baggot Street and only a few minutes walk from St. Stephen’s Green..... ONLY A FEW MINUTES WALK FROM ST STEPHEN'S GREEN? I don't think so.... unless you're a time traveller :-) It's around 15-20 minutes walk to St Stephen's Green (and I'm a speedy walker according to my family) not a few minutes - so this is misleading. I'd already checked the location so I knew the description was inaccurate. We didn't mind the walk - but if you have mobility issues you might want to consider if this is a dealbreaker.

Lovely design of fabrics, tiles, patterns. Clean, comfortable, good location, nice light room, good size, coffee available, felt secure.

Reception was less friendly than I'm used to, nobody there for checkout time. Very difficult to regulate water temperature, cold for ages then too hot so showers could be better. Breakfast would be nice to have.

Good location, a few bus stops away from the centre of Dublin, but also there is plenty of pubs, restaurants, shops nearby - the neighborhood is nice. Parking is for free, it is a bit tight and spaces are limited but generally it is a great advantage, as parking is metered in the neighborhood. The bedroom and the bathroom were very stylish, but also functional and clean - quiet at night, comfy bed. Above all, the staff were very friendly and forthcoming. Highly recommended!

There is no breakfast but you can get free coffee in the morning.

The room and bathroom were clean. It's was a simple room with a bed, Armoire, side tables, TV, kettle with instant coffee and sides. The bathroom was clean with towels, shampoo and the like. There was no AC in the room so you have to raise the window for cooling. That can be a bit noisy at night being right off the street. I had ear plugs though so it was not really an issue.

I did not like there was no breakfast, at all. I think for $165/ night there should at least be croissants and jam with maybe some fruit and juice. It takes very little time to prepare this. I realise Covid has been an issue but restaurants are open and other hotels offer breakfast so that should not be an issue at this time. Other than that I liked the place.

The whole hotel and the room are cozy and pleasant. All the room needs were met and there was a good selection of various coffees, espresso, tea and water in the lobby. We arrived very early and left our luggage. They had told us that we would not be able to check in early, but our room was ready a couple of hours early and so we were able to grab a nap in the afternoon after our red-eye travel day. On-site parking.

I'm very sure I had booked a queen bed, but when we arrived there was a double bed. We were so tired that I didn't make a fuss about it, but we had some trouble sleeping for the nights we stayed. The bed was comfy enough but a bit small for us. Sadly the lift was being repaired for our entire length of our stay, and was only working again literally right after we checked out. The on-site parking was welcome but VERY tight even for our tiny car. The staff seemed very busy and when we needed to talk to them, we usually had to wait for someone to appear at the vacant front desk.

We loved everything about our stay at the Waterloo House. Highly recommend to others wishing to be new the walking distance to the centre of Dublin and stay in a reasonably priced renovated room.. Beautiful

Beautiful hotel, such a great find. Rooms are to a high standard, beautifully decorated and bathroom is fabulous. Would highly recommend. Free parking also which is a rare find in Dublin

Only downside was no breakfast.

Good location. About 20 mins walk from city centre. Room was small but comfortable. Very clean. Nice decor. I asked for a quiet room and got one at the back when I arrived. Free water. So happy days. No breakfast available but I knew that when booking. Staff very polite. Parking was available if needed but I didn't on this occasion.

It would be useful if they had a list of cafes where one could get breakfast. There are some cafes nearby but they seem like the chain coffee houses that I try to avoid. I rang a friend of mine for a recommendation and it turned out there was a perfect place for me not far away that did a full Irish with tea with a pot. It was a local rather than a chain. Down beside Smyths pub on Haddington Road.
