Absolutely fantastic and beautiful B&B. The garden is stunning, with a lovely little brook behind the house. This family-run business is truly welcoming, with the host and her family paying attention to every single detail. The breakfast was terrific, offering plenty of options and served exactly to your liking. Our room was super clean, with beautifully embroidered bedding that was freshly ironed. The towels were soft and had a fresh, spring-like scent. There was also a small but efficient hairdryer. If we had more time, we would have loved to stay longer.
Our twin room was a bit small, perhaps too small for a longer stay. The walk to downtown took about 20 minutes, which might be a necessary if you're planning to enjoy a Guinness in a lively local pub—but it's definitely worth the effort.

The warmth of the host and her helper, Eithne, was wonderful! I loved the surrounding gardens and the brook at the back ( from which the name An Bruachan comes) The living room was cosy and Julia had started a fire for us on one of the evenings when we spent a bit of time there. The breakfast selection was very good.
The TV switch was way out of reach but that didn't really matter to us. Not this time anyway. The heating was not always efficient but perhaps we are spoilt, coming from Switzerland. It being an old house, the floorboards upstairs creaked and we, who had our rooms downstairs, were disturbed until the guests upstairs finally went to sleep!

We had a nice stay and the breakfast was good. Julia the owner was very helpful and we had a lovely chat. We stayed in a room with 3 beds, one double and two single. There is a wall with a portal (but no door) separating double bed from 2 others so you can even have some privacy. For breakfast you can chose either 2 types of omelet, or pancakes or sausages, also tea / coffee, toasts and jam. Some milk and serials are available as well.
I would only ask to give some directions re usage of heating or heating schedule if there is any, as it was working when we arrived but became cold during the night.

Beautiful B&B just outside centre of Kenmare. Lovely hosts who prepared freshly cooked breakfasts and wonderful pancakes. Family room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Hosts provided some good sightseeing tips we probably wouldn’t have found by ourselves and the town itself was gorgeous, a great base for doing the ring of Kerry away from the tour busses.
Only downside was the late check in time of 5pm but that gave us time to explore the town so no real hassle.

The property was just beautiful! Situated by a little river, it was a very peaceful place to sit outside and have a coffee, or walk around the beautifully landscaped gardens. Julia and Eithne were so friendly and helpful. I had the misfortune of getting sick while there, and they were quick to get me a doctor's appointment at a well-run clinic nearby. I would recommend this property to anyone!
We had a room with 4 beds. Two of the beds were comfortable, but the other two were very uncomfortable! They need a new mattress or a mattress topper, if those are available in Ireland.

Julia was a gem. The yard is amazing and the stream in the back was a huge bonus as we had a window that opened to the sound of the babbling brook....... we loved that!
I can not say I did not like it, but it reminded me of the B&B's I have stayed in in the past - not one of the newer homes built specifically to be a B&B. Rooms were small, but it was great for the night we stayed and like I said above, Julia was a gem.

We arrived by Motorcycle and were greeted by the most wonderful lady who just went that extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect by sorting transport for our evening trip into town, providing newspapers to dry out our 'biker boots and gear' and providing a fantastic full Irish Breakfast. The B&B is in a beautiful setting of well tended grounds complete with their own passing river.
It was just perfect, no complaints whatsoever.

Julie is an amazing host and along with her team Eithne and Katie couldn't do enough for us. Everything was perfect, from a tasty breakfast that kept us full till mid afternoon, cleanliness was outstanding and comfortable surroundings, the bed was so comfy. The location was brilliant, minutes from Kenmare Town, a great base for touring around Kerry. Julie had great recommendations for places to visit and very knowledgeable about them too. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Will definitely stay with Julie next time we're in Kenmare. Thank you Julie, Eithne and Katie for a brilliant stay.
Nothing we didn't like, except five days wasn't long enough.

Amazing location, picturesque property with a stream running through it. Julia was a very attentive host, providing us with delicious breakfast options. Property is close to Kenmare town and we had a great couple nights stay in very comfortable room. Thanks Julia!

We had unique plans which had us leave before 7 in the morning we thought we’d skip breakfast, but Julia wouldn’t have it, she got up extra early made sure we were sent off with a fabulous breakfast ready by 6:30 giving us plenty of time. Much appreciated
Wish we could have stayed longer
