The ambience is very good in the hotel and the food was very nice although the menu could have a bit more on it like a carvery or roast. The staff are always very pleasant and Sean the manager is always adept at helping with any requests, nothing is too much trouble

The TV has barely any channels on it, I think in this day and age the TV should be up to date, it barely has RTE1 on it!!!! In the bar you have SKY sports so I cant understand how you cant have satellite channels in the rooms, it would be a good idea to have a TV engineer go through the rooms and update. You dont want to be spending all of your time in the room but its nice to relax when you are there and have a choice.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient when we checked in. We had a very large room with a comfortable bed. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant the night we arrived. The staff were friendly and efficient. There was a wide choice for breakfast the next morning and overall we did enjoy our stay.

The room was very dated and needs upgraded/decorated. It was clean and comfortable, but definitely needs upgrading. The light above the bed didn’t work, but there was sufficient light from other lights in the room. Generally speaking the room looked very tired and would benefit from a bit of redecorating.

The room was clean and warm.Bathroom clean, and the shower worked well.

I paid a little extra for two beds.We were given one bed.When i queried this at reception the man made me repeat myself many times.I felt he caused needless stress.He was Irish,so am I ,so there was no difficulty understanding.He just did not want to help.I will not be booking this hotel again.The rooms are out dated and unless you get a sea view, you would be better staying somewhere else.The breakfast is extra and the restaurant expensive.This is January,I dread to think what price it is at a other time's of the year.

Reception staff and waitresses were lovely and friendly and helpful. The breakfast was an Irish fry with lots of brown toast, butter and jams. Pot of tea (for one) gave me 3 cups! Soup and brown bread at lunch was really tasty; evening meal of cod, veg and lots of mashed potato lovely. Got a room overlooking the sea; window left open all night - lovely sound of waves. Large bedroom with double bed and a single bed. Lovely en-suite.

Nothing in my opinion; it's not a 5* hotel, which suited me, as The White Sands is relaxing, friendly and cosy - ideal for the solo traveller. Bus stop outside the hotel, a Spar shop within a 5 minute walk; lots of swimmers braving the cold sea today; hotel has ice bath and sauna and outside shower in grounds - in great use today!

We stayed in one of their newly remodeled rooms and it was very nice. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff was all mostly welcome and kind, truly only one night staff person that didn’t seem as open and friendly, but even he was not unkind. We didn’t eat much in the hotel restaurant but we did get some vegetable soup and that was delicious!

The only thing I can write here is not the properties fault, lol, location. While it was incredibly well placed to visit the beach (which is why I booked it) it was a tad farther away from the nearest village. It’s a super easy car ride away, and we had no trouble getting there and back, but this would maybe be the only slight ding.

Very friendly staff. Exceptionally good food in the hotel bar/restaurant (seafood linguine).

Sad to see disposable cups in the room, seems like unnecessary waste.

Breakfast was astounding if a bit pricey, my main problem was the very limited channels available on the TV plus the limited menu is staying longer than 3 days. but there is an italian place just 100yds down the road. beautiful sandy beach. wonderful views excellent staff

TV chanels - could not fathom it out. limited menu. very few faciliteis on the beach front, but wonderful to walk/swim - if you are inclined to go into chillled water and so clase to dublin airport

Staff absolutely fantastic, we'd just spent 8hrs on a plane due to diversions and weather travelling from Berlin to Dublin during storm Isha and booked this last minute as we didn't want to travel onwards to Galway during the night. Check in was quick and easy. We got into the bar late and food had finished but they allowed us order a take away and even gave us plates, cutlery and sauces to eat. The bar staff were understanding and really looked after us.. In the morning after a comfortable, restful sleep we got to enjoy the fantastic view over the Irish sea and the islands off Dublin. I'll be back anytime I need to stay in Dublin and will recommend to everyone. Thanks guys for providing a great service to very weary travellers.

The room was a very good spacious size, very comfortable beds. It had all of the items we required - e.g. a clean bedroom, a TV that worked fine, there was a hairdryer and fresh towels changed on request. The hotel location was perfect for my 6 year old child and I to spend hours at the fabulous beach across the road and return to the room afterwards to freshen up and enjoy fabulous meals in the hotel bar area. The evening meals were practically cooked to order and the service and attention from the staff much appreciated. There was a small shop within a two minute walk from the hotel for general supplies and a bucket and spade! The hotel had ample car parking and fabulous uninterrupted views of the sea. We loved our stay and will return for another Irish beach holiday within the year. The reception was always staffed, (Bravo) and really happy to help or chat about our plans for the day. The inside and outside areas were always being swept and kept clean too. Well Done and thank you to the whole team.

Staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Bar Food was delicious. Constant hot water when required to wash hands. Some hotels only have lukewarm water.

I think the room needed to be upgraded and checked for H&S as I slipped in the bath but I didn't report it. There was no hand railing to hold on the wall when trying to get into the bath to shower. The shower frame had no rubber stopper on the end and water leaked down side of Bath and onto floor. Even with all above I'd still come back and stay.
