Overall the hotel is situated in a nice location, perfect to explore the western part of the island. The facilities are well-maintained and the staff is very nice and helpful. The room was nice and spacious, cleaning was done daily.

Breakfast was the same every morning, so some changes here and there would be nice. Generally, the food was not up to our expectations. Too few vegetables and fruit, salads seemed like a weird mix of leftovers, I think simple leafy vegetable salads would do much better. Frequently the meals lacked seasoning.

The location was great. Right on the beach and a nice little boardwalk. A park up the street for kids to play at as well. The kids club was great for the kids as well. Staff was amazing and super helpful

The food was great but there could have been more kid options.

The resort was very well maintained and staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating particularly to my wife who was disabled. The entire resort is wheelchair accessible. A good variety of food with a different theme every night in the main restaurant. There were two alternative restaurants with a la carte menus which were excellent with more traditional Portuguese cuisine.

The gym is small but could be a little better equipped with some free weights and perhaps a pull up bar. Booking system for the a la carte restaurants didn't really make sense. We were encouraged to book in advance presumably because they were busy and popular but on 4 occasions we managed to get a booking they weren't very busy and on one occasion we were the only diners.

You can leave your stuff inside the hotel compound, take the card key and use the beach 2 min away. - [ ] Comfortable rooms - [ ] Bidet! - [ ] Pretty good entertainment program ( especially the folkloric ensemble who involved the guests too in their dances) - [ ] Entertainment ends at 10:30 so it is completely quiet after that. - [ ] Animation team very enthusiastic and offering quite a variety of activities. - [ ] We liked the food at the buffet. ( and the staff!) - [ ] Very, very clean ( again amazing staff) - [ ] Bottle of champagne for my birthday.

- [ ] The laundry is ridiculously priced : 7.5 euro = about 9 US$ to wash one t-shirt. I imagine the people working at the laundromat are paid minimum wage- so some super-rich become Uber- rich and thumbing their noses at the hotel guests. - [ ] The cloth bracelet we had to wear permanently ( as all inclusive guests) was a real pain: got wet when washing hands , got in the plate when slicing my food, not to mention when using the bidet. Other all inclusive resorts have a rubber bracelet with a chip attached that allowed you to open your room too. I imagine the Savoy is billion dollar business and can afford bracelets to match the rest of the amazing experience.

The hotel is cosy, not so big. It is located in a calm area. The suites are large. The food is very good, deluciuos and variuos. The New year's eve was very special. We enjoed it a lot. Bravo for the staff!!!

The suite are large, but not confortable: there is a sleeping possibility in the luving room, but no chest of drawers or any wardrobe where to put the things and clothes. The wardrove in the bedroom also strange and not practical- if you like to hand dresses- no chance to hand them full lengh. The terrace is huge, but there is no sunbed in it or some kind of relax chairs ( just a table and two chairs). The fasilities like sauna's are dated, as the rooms. The cleaning of the rooms were not done well sometimes- missing half of the towels, shampoo...

We loved the hotel. The room was big and spacious. The kitchenette was a good size. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas - we enjoyed the lounge areas, the bars, the shows each night. Staff were very attentive and came several times to our room to deal with small issues. Really appreciated a baby bath, pack n play, and stroller that was available at no extra charge. The all inclusive package was excellent value for money, and we loved that snacks and drinks were available all day and night. The area is great, with plenty of shops in close driving distance, and playgrounds for the kids.

Parking - the lot offered was incredibly narrow and stressful to navigate. Smoking - this seemed to be allowed everywhere outside (even though certain areas were designated as non-smoking) which was hard with two small children. Wish the outdoor pool had been heated.

Calheta is amazing, sunny and provides the only sandy beach on the island. Top location! The hotel is directly on the beach, great playground 500m from there. The hotel is really amazing - we spent 1 week here and enjoyed the indoor pool, the gym, the sauna, turkish bath, the outdoor pool, the sandy beach just outside. There is a buffet option for every meal, as well as an a'la carte which is perfect for a less noisy evening.

The hotel itself is a bit dated (which is not uncommon on the island!), the facilities are a bit small for a Christmas & New Years crowd, mainly the gym and the indoor pool.

The location is secluded with a nice beach. Nightly entertainment until 10:30pm (somewhat loud if your room is facing it). Special dinner outside « bbq » one night. A small strip mall with grocery store is right across and convenient. Many good seafront restaurants just a short board walk away.

Would not have opted for all-inclusive if we would have known the food wasn’t the best and plenty of option nearby. Would suggest to include breakfast. The staff were mediocre. Some really good and some that shouldn’t be in the hospitality industry— especially that it’s one of only few all-inclusive in Calheta.

The Orange juice was nothing like orange juice! Would it be too expensive to give us real, fresh juice? The outdoor pool was too cold and the indoor pool too small for the size of the hotel; Cheap ice cream;

food was really good, a lot of salads to choose everyday, every day different country food, fresh and nice. drinks with all inclusive good quality and variety. We need to change room as the first one got a bad smell, the new room what we received was perfect, matches photos on booking and also we got wine and cheeses plate for compensation , that was very lovely. All staff in reception and bar area really nice, helpful and friendly. Entertainment every night - was great. Sunsets - stunning.

restaurant is very old fashion, you can clearly see scratches, damages on the furniture : tables, chairs. In restaurant I think more attention to the details when cleaning will be great. breakfast : coffee is really bad - just across the road you have a café and you can buy coffee for less than 1euro. Everyday you have same staff on breakfast - everybody can find something to eat, however scrambles eggs ( terrible taste as plastic ). Hotel car park is also a public car par - some days no space there to leave the car and expensive. If you have space on the streets car park there is much lower. Also over the weekend Calheta beach ( next to the hotel ) is just crazy busy and very hard is to find space to park the car.
