Fantastic Location. My partner and I felt that Amalfi was the best out of all of the destinations in Amalfi Coast. Lovely service by the hotel manager in organising our luggage from the taxi to the hotel. ( This is because taxi's are unable to park in the main quarter of Amalfi ). We had breakfast every morning at the famous Andrea Pansa before we embarked on our visits to Positano, Ravello and Capri. Highly recommend travelling by taxi, which the hotel can also offer a discount on. Highly recommended. Also the restaurant Taverna degli Apostoli was the best in all of Amalfi.

In general transportation to Amalfi is difficult, whether it is by train, ferry, or taxi. My recommendation, although pricey is by taxi - it'll be about 110 euros, but honestly, it saves you the most hassle and the drive and views are stunning. Do not get the ferry, as the services are all poor and our ferry got cancelled on the day, which is quite common, even in the summer time.

The location is amazing! You are around the corner and up a few steps from the main square. You will be exposed to all of the noises associated with being that close, but the heavy shutters keep it pretty quiet in the room. The room itself is fairly small, but comfortable. The TV is appropriately positioned and sized for the room, the refrigerator is good for a day or two worth of drinks. The staff are fantastic! Anything we needed was taken care of right away. They were also very helpful with things like understanding bus schedules, parking our car and even meeting us at the main piazza when we arrived.

The shower head flows through a grate in the ceiling, resulting in an odd spray pattern. Maybe it just needs cleaning and descaling, but it is certainly functional. Our room door was right next to the main entrance, which concerned us at first. It turned out to not be a problem at all, as the area around the entrance isn’t very busy, so we weren’t disturbed by people coming in and out.

La Bambagina is in a great location - you are literally in the heart of Piazza Duomo and across the road from Amalfi beach, Darsena Pier, taxi and transportation via Piazza Flavio Gioia, and a short walk to Atrani beach. The customer service was outstanding! Federica went above and beyond - she provided local recommendations and booked restaurants, beach clubs and laundry service for us during our stay. The room itself is extremely spacious and clean, and despite being in the heart of the Piazza you could barely hear any noise from outside. Highly recommend staying at La Bambagina.

Delightful boutique hotel in the centre of Amalfi's bustling Main Street. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful that we encountered during our entire three-week holiday around Italy (six different hotels). All the shops and tourist attractions are right beside the door so you can easily immerse yourself in this beautiful town. Trust the staff when they tell you what to visit, each recommendation revealed a different part of this unique place.

Nothing at all. Make sure you avail of the luggage service if arriving by coach or ferry. Amalfi is difficult to negotiate with luggage and the hotel is hidden away at the top of some stairs.

Location was very good.

Absolutely delightful little property. Bang smack in the middle of the town. It is quiet, so no noise disruption. Walking distance to everything. Staff is very helpful, couldn't do enough for us. Parking is available, so check it out directly with the host. This saved us so much hassle.

This place is a real hidden gem. Step outside and it’s a really peaceful location with a view of the bay. Go down a few steps and you are in the the centre of Amalfi. Our room had a view of the main square. It was clean, high end, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff made us enjoy it the experience even most. They had excellent English and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was flawless. This is a 5 star place to stay.

We have tried. But we can’t think of any negatives.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The location and view were perfect. We stayed in room 1 and the views were the best (see pics). Would recommend and stay there again. You also get a discount at the bistro and we had lunch and drinks there, which were lovely.

The WiFi didn't work for us

I didn't have breakfast, as it was in a cafe' nearby, 30% off but not included. It was busy there and decided not to use it as I had appointments. Bed not superconfortable, a bit bendy and soft. Everything else was superb. Friendly service and welcome

The location is the best! You are right in the middle of the square and close to everything! Our family stayed away from the city center and wished they had stayed closer. Taxis are super expensive for short distances. The bistro has great food and ambiance! We ate out first meal there, and our last! We recommend getting up early and walking the streets with the residents, before all the tours start packing in. The bus stop is right outside of the square, as well as the ferry. I highly recommend the ferry to the different towns. Super easy to get around on public transportation, just might be a wait! If you get motion sickness, don't sit in the back of the bus ;)

Our room was a tad small, but doable. We were traveling for a wedding, and had little storage...in all fairness, we could've brought less stuff! Although, I was willing to sacrifice space for location.
