It’s my second time as a guest in Central Hostel. Great place with always friendly staff. Super convenient location a few steps from the pedestrian area in new Bergamo where you can find plenty of shops and restaurants. It is also just a few minutes from the bus stop to the airport. The room was tiny but good for short stay. The beds were comfortable and we had a good sleep. Wonderful coffee in the morning from the vending machine. Internet was also with very good speed.

In the bathroom smelled a bit of cigarette this time. I guess someone was smoking in the room above. Poor hot water pressure at night but you could take a shower at all.

Great location, close to the train station and the city centre. Very helpful staff - our plane was delayed so I was worried about missing the midnight check-in deadline, but they offered to stay on for a while if we were late. The room was clean and comfortable and had air-conditioning, which was lucky as it was 34 degrees at midnight that night. There is an enclosed, shared terrace with tables and chairs that you can sit in. It was surprisingly quiet for a hostel and completely silent during the night. There are also reasonably priced vending machines for water/snacks. Excellent value on the whole.

Absolutely great ladies at reception -helped us with everything we need ! Also location is very close to the train station and 15 min walk to the old town.

There was some smell of chemical cleaning in the room - very strong once you enter from the street , it helped when we open the window . But exactly at 7 am there start noise from the near by house - they are construction it . So we can not sleep longer .

I don’t ever normally give reviews of places I’ve stayed. However, Central Hostel BG was amazing. From the extremely friendly and informative staff on reception to the excellent condition - and price - of the room, I have no negative feedback. Location, facilities and affordability all fantastic.

Sweet and extremely helpful staff 😊 One of our trains from Reggio Emilia was delayed and we unfortunately missed one of the connections, I wrote Central Hostel BG because now we might arrive a little after midnight. One dear Laura wrote back ASAP and told me not to worry and that the Hostel is only 10 minutes walk from the station, she was so sweet that she even wrote a direction from the station, she was smiling and welcomed us nicely. Bed is comfortable 😁 Only sleeping here one night so I don't know how the hotel is otherwise BUT we are satisfied. 😊✌🏽

I think the vending machine only took coins and we didn't have any, I would really have liked a late cup of coffee, so unless I didn't see well, then remember some coins - WE WERE SATISFIED 😊✌🏽

The girl at reception was great - very friendly, helpful and didn't make you feel rushed. The hostel was clean and I was able to check-out early with no problems. My room was on the top floor and it was bigger than I expected. It had a comfortable single bed, plugs beside the bed and there was also an extension lead close by which was handy. The bathroom had an outdated look but can't fault it: it was clean and tidy with hot running water. The location of the hostel is excellent - a 4 minute walk to the main street and bus stop to/from the airport. Plenty of food options nearby. Bearing in mind that I stayed in the hostel in February for one night, the place seemed quite relaxed. Nice mix of ages staying. I didn't use kitchen facilities but did make use of the computers in the communal computer room. Would stay again.

Brilliant staff. Both reception girls are a credit to the hostel really helpful. Had a problem processing payment so we were able to do a bank transfer and they let me carry on with my day whilst everything got sorted. Place to store luggage for 6 hours 1 euro and any time over it's another euro. Also had a cafe and bar area and table football for the kids.

Nothing it was a good hostel.

The stuff was the best: both receptionists were a blessing. They solved all our doubts and provided us with more interesting info and pamphlets. Even though the facilities are not modern, they are comfortable and accessible if you use wheelchair. VERY value for money. It is 8min far from the train station and 15minutes from the funicular. What else can you ask for? Totally cheap and cheerful

This hostel has also rooms for couples or single travelers. And this accommodation would be on the same level as a typical hotel. I like the cleanliness of the room and the small kitchen on the first floor for all guests. They also have a free parking space for cars. And because the hotel is located in the low-city center, you can easily use a bus or cablecar to get to the upper town.

Very comfortable room and friendly staff who helped with local advice and let me store my bags after checkout for the afternoon. Decent location, close enough to a bus stop that takes 15 minutes to get to Citta Alta and a supermarket 5 minutes away.

The bed was quite firm, perhaps a softer mattress would make it more comfortable.
