Location is fine if you want to explore the city but rather remote if you come from autostrada and just want to get to bed asap. Also google maps sent us to the back of the property and there is no access there so you have to go around. Nice street though, felt safe enough. Instructions on how the whole checkin works could be explained / written better bc it adds unneccessary stress. Room was very nice though, with two solid sized beds and somewhat modern. Free coffee is a nice touch and there is a refrigerator in the cellar which I guess you can use if you stay longer.

The checkin process was fine once you get hold of the remote operator.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are quite proper, the location is great, at only 2 minutes from the bus that takes you to the city center. The area is amazing, very calm and proper. The check-in was quick and easy to make. The staff are ok, they left new towels after the first day and kept our room clean. The heating system works great, which helped a lot, since it was quite cold in Bologna during our stay.

One thing that I didn't like were the doors: they can be open from the outside, which resulted in one of the staff members accidentally entering the room at one point. Also, the bed is quite uncomfortable and the pillows were completely destroyed inside, with pieces of material that had formed balls of wool which were very uncomfortable to sleep on.

I liked the spartan simplicity of the room and the exceptional cleanliness. The air conditioning was silent, zero tacky decor. Checking in and out was a breeze. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful, even if a good 15-20min away (on foot) from the Torre degli Asinelli.

Due to the fact that my single bed was aligned to the wall lengthwise, there was no headboard and I was a bit worried I might lose my pillow during sleep. It didn't happen, I slept just fine. Would definitely stay here again, very good value for money.

Immaculate room with a coffee machine and a nice balcony beneath a beautiful tree. Quiet. A heated towel rail that actually works. Fine shower.

The front door wouldn't open after I had begun checking in leaving me stranded outside without a phone etc staff arrived as soon as they could and solved the problem efficiently and quickly. The "remote" staff were a wee bit frustrating. An unfortunate blip... An extra pillow would have been appreciated...

An amazing location overlooking Palazzo Re Enzo on Piazza Maggiore. Apartment was well appointed with some nice old wooden decorative elements from Central/South Asia. Also very practical with a laundry room.

The description of how access worked in terms of issuance of keys/extra keys was outdated. There was a lock-box, as described, but, it turns out, it is no longer being used. Before arrival I could not get clarity on this from CiaoBologna/Vikey.

I have nothing negative to say about my stay at the Hotel Sant'Orsola! The room was big, the bed comfortable and everything was perfectly clean! Even though it's not located inside of the old town, the location is still very good; especially for this price! There are restaurants, take-out places and supermarkets in walking distance, there are a lot of buses that take you to the train station in 10 minutes. Also if you like walking and are good on foot you can reach the old town in less than ten minutes. So it's a very good location since you can sleep in a quit environment but still enjoy the city life close by.

This hasn't affected my trip in particular, but there is no elevator which for some people could be a problem. I would also have liked a hot water kettle, but you can do without just fine!

The room was great

Arrived 5 mins after hours and did not notify them of time of arrival , which was our error as we were having problems with our phone and connections, but we thought this would not be an problem as was an after hours number, but this does not work for a time after closing. The staff where not pleasant at all when finally made contact, they did settle after a time and then were very helpful, but that first introduction to the hotel was not nice, at one stage thought they where not going to let us into unit at all.. And then in the morning we got another telling off by the day staff for not telling them what time arriving etc. A real shame as the unit was lovely met all our expectations, if not for the staff would have given this place a 10/10

Very clean, well designed and very homely. Cleaning service each day and shower works very well. Good location - a longer walk from the centre than most but this was definitely not an issue for me.

Check-in was virtual, which is fine but nice to know what you're dealing with in advance. You need a pin to get in the front door, which is slow to let you in and then you ring the intercom at the desk where they will talk you through the process, get your passport details and get you to pay online.
