Alessandro was such a dream! As was Maria! Such lovely hosts. I would 100% recommend staying here. I am a black woman and I get quite nervous when travelling as being treated a certain way can be racially charged.. But I truly felt at home here and very safe. If I ever go back to Italy I would 100% stay here. Also the food in the restaurantes next door are 10/10 Bellísimo! Thank you for looking after us :)

Im not sure if this applies but if you don’t have a car, this area will be different to get around as there isn’t really anything close to see or do. But e had a car so we got to visit Florence within a 40 minute drive and we were able to constantly visit Artimino which is a less than 10 minute drive.

The hotel is conveniently situated at less than one hour from Florence but you can also visit the countryside if you wish. The staff is extremely helpful making your stay an enjoyable experience. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is typically Italian. There is a free parking not far from the hotel and the small town have some nice restaurants for dinner, one located just next to the hotel.

I loved everything about this place. The staff and owner were spectacular and went above and beyond. They were always courteous and kind. Always willing to help. I’ve stayed here once before and the people are why I chose this place again. I’d keep coming just to see the view from my room again and to see the staff again. They made the trip worth it for me.

This hotel was amazing! Easy to find, the staff was always kind and very helpful. They answered any of our questions and were always available. We originally booked the stay for 3 nights, but we decided to stay another night and the process to add an additional night was super easy and we loved our stay here. Looking forward to staying here the next time we are in town!

Perfect hotel. Could not have been better!!! Staff was wonderful, facilities superb and as an added bonus the restaurant was fabulous. Parking very close. Neat hill town near Florence. Room was very nice. Highly recommend.

This is our 2nd time this year staying at San Michele . Its a charming family run hotel comfortable and simple. The staff there could not be more attentive or helpful. Carmingnano is a really nice village with a few good local restaurants and bars away from the pulsating throng of Florence and incredible art and culture which is not far away.

The structure with a rustic style gives a touch of magic to the location. Located on the hills of Prato, it is very close by car to the most important tourist attractions in Tuscany. Prato Firenze the Chianti .... it was a delightful stay. The staff is very kind, polite and professional. The room perfect, and the view 😍

Small hotel near Firenze, located in tiny cozy town Carmignano. Superb host Alessandro - always good with recommendations what to see and where to go. Nice location - 30 mind in Firenze by car, but lots to see around in neighbourhood. There is a gourmet restaurant in the villa building - must be visited, as it provides unusual food approach. Tip: take a room with a balcony. Best experience: 10 out of 10!

The water pressure is very good, although sometimes it takes a while to get hot water flowing. Comfortable bed.

The shower cabin is on the smallish side. Tiled floor is a bit cold in March.

This is kind of family hotel, very small. The room was very nice and the bathroom was large. The village is on top of the hill so you can take a walk and have panoramic views. The recepcionist was very friendly.

There was sound of nearby A/C unit buzzing all night (not belonging to hotel i was told).
