This was the highlight of our trip. The apartment was above and beyond! So spacious and beautifully appointed. There were 3 floors, the floor has an steam room with lounge chais, music and massage tables if you chose to reserve a treatment. Stefano was our first contact and he was pleasant ping and always helpful. The breakfast which was included in the stay was in a lovely dining room, a quick offer of coffee of your choice, yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, HB eggs, and freshly baked breakfast cakes. If I could award more stars, I would! A very memorable stay at this beautiful apartment!

I had a wonderful stay at Petrantiche Albergo Diffuso in Putignano! This charming bed and breakfast is tucked away in the historic center, and it beautifully captures the essence of this quaint Italian town. The rooms are tastefully decorated, blending modern comfort with traditional design. I especially loved the stone walls and cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh pastries, local cheeses, and coffee that got each morning off to a great start. The location is perfect for exploring the town on foot, with several restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby. It’s also a great base for day trips to nearby spots in Puglia like Alberobello and Polignano a Mare. I highly recommend Petrantiche for anyone looking for a unique, authentic, and relaxing stay in Putignano!

The hotel is made of several apartments spread within walking distance in the historic part of Putignano. First, this is a great opportunity to experience life as a local, and no classic hotel gives you that. Second, the apartment we had was sparkling clean, with a comfy bed and all the amenities, including a hot tub inside one of the bathrooms. On top of this, communication with the staff was excellent and their problem solving policy proved fast and excellent. Breakfast was very good and included many traditional dishes. Had an excellent time!

A great find... it is actually approx. 10 different apartments spread throughout the old town - all a few minutes walk as the old town is not large. We stayed in two of them - both were wonderful - modern furnishings in ancient surroundings, great décor, super-comfy beds. The breakfast is in the same location as the reception and was very good with choices of fresh sweet and savory produce. Stefano the host was really helpful, before arrival giving instructions where to park (note it is street parking only, a few minutes walk away, as no cars are allowed in the old town). He reacted immediately when we had any problems - no hot water as the boiler had switched to standby. Due to a strange smell in the second apartment (turned out to be due to a burning bulb) we were upgraded to the luxury apartment with terrace which was fantastic. The old town of Putignano is very interesting - ancient, and car free. Not very large (you can walk from one end to the other in about 10 minutes) but worth exploring and getting lost in the maze of streets. A short drive to the much more touristy Alberobello.

nothing - despite the small problems we had Stefano resolved everything above our expectations. Note this place would not be suitable for anyone with mobility challenges as you have to walk from where you can park into the old town, and to/from the apartment. Also the apartments have *very* steep steps. You need a car to get here.

Our stay at Petrantiche was amazing and we truly felt cared for by their staff. We stayed in a room with the hot tub and it was exceptional! Everything, including their amazing restaurant recommendations like Premiata Pizzeria, was within walking distance. However, the highlight was undoubtedly their delicious focaccia, making breakfast an experience we were eagerly anticipating! Choosing Petrantiche for our honeymoon was a splendid decision, and we wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone seeking a romantic getaway.

Extraordinary! Location in the middle of the old town with amazing rooftop terrace. Apartment was fresh like new. Really well equipped with gorgeous design. Mood lighting, comfy bed. Stefano was really kind, gave us a tour around the apartment. Helped with the luggage, and all the necessary information about the town and places that we should visit. Highly recommend!

We had booked a villa for 2 weeks, but after a week we encountered many issues and decided to go to a hotel. I found this hotel which had very good reviews and decided to take a chance. We absolutely loved the hotel. It is brand new, super clean, the staff is very professional and helpful, as well as an abundance of hot water for showers. We also discovered Putignano which was absolutely lovely. Parking on the street was easy and free on weekends. During the week, we always found parking and the rates are not pricey at all. The breakfast included was great and there are a ton of restaurants around the hotel! The hotel even sent us messages to notify us in advance regarding Putignano’s weekly market and sent us little maps which showed where to park. As mentioned, parking is easy.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The room was exceptional, very modern and clean, beautifully decorated and had a private balcony on the upper floor overlooking the city roofs. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was super helpful taking our luggage up the steep stairs and Stefano helped me retrieve the necklace I forgot in the room the next day, sending it to Matera with a friend of his. Thank you!

It was really great, no complaints at all

We were 3 adults and we had a double storey room. Big rooms and nice furnished. We had to walk 2 min. for having breakfast in the main building, because the rooms are located in different houses in the old town, but this is no problem at all. The breakfast buffet is very nice and the staff very friendly. It is really a very nice place to stay for a few days. We will come back and we can recommend this albergo.

Everything was exceptional and are host Stefano was fabulous and the woman helping with breakfast was as well. The breakfast was the best we have had in Italy with tons of fresh fruit, great yogurts, juices meats cheeses more than you could eat and on and on there was an entire table of fresh baked goods and coffee was excellent. The design in the main quarters and our space was stunning. The soaps and shampoos were of excellent quality. I can not rave enough about this place!!!! Makes me want to return as soon as I can.
