On arriving we received a free upgrade to a deluxe room with city view an balcony,the reception team were always helpful an very pleasant as were all the staff we met at the hotel always saying hello an good morning or good afternoon the food was excellent an rooftop restaurant fantastic.The Palace hotel has prime position on the best street with the very best picture postcard views of the magnificent mount Etna and of any busy city views that include Cathedrals an piazza’s an garden squares you just step out of the hotel an turn right or left an join everybody else strolling up an down this great stretch of architecture everywhere you look With pattisseries an restaurants all around also the many different shops ,a really great city to visit.

Excellent location a few minutes from almost all sites. Beautiful reception and room. The seventh floor has a wonderful view and feel. A really really good place to stay in Catania. Loved the decoration of the hotel.

The standard breakfast of the hotel is, well, standard. I expect more, particularly a better selection of breads, from a hotel of this calibre. For a significant additional fee breakfast can be had on the seventh floor with a wider selection but we did not take that option.

Lovely hotel, clean, very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was amazing. Perfect location to walk to Metro to get on trains up and down East Coast. Also easy walk to lots of areas for food, bars, passagiata etc. Shopping and sites. Room was big and very clean. Air conditioning was fabulous for the hot humid days we experienced whilst there in Sept.

Only thing that needs to be addressed is the lack of staff in the roof top restaurant during busy hours of Apperitivo and Dinner. The guys working there are lovely..but can't provide a friendly service as they are too hassled trying to do too much with not enough hands! Otherwise food and drinks were lovely!

A great luxury hotel where everything is top quality, including accommodation, food, service and staff. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, coffee facilities, bath - everything I look for. The location is on the City's main street just a minute's walk from the Cathedral. The rooftop restaurant /bar has unobstructed views of Mount Etna and is impeccably run by the welcoming Luca (aka Yuri Chechi). Both he and Rita on reception epitomise the values of the hotel - friendly, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. We had a 4-night stay and were sorry to leave. I have stayed in many hotels and almost never leave a review but this hotel was exceptional.

This was our second stay. We enjoyed our wedding anniversary prior to a flight out of the Catania airport. We booked a dinner on the Etnea Roof Bar and Restaurant. Dinner was even better than last time (which I cannot believe). The service both in the hotel and restaurant was amazing. When we arrived to the hotel a huge group of people from a tour bus had arrived and were checking in, but Rita at the front desk did not miss a beat. She kept organized who was with the tour and who was not, and checked us in quickly. They also remembered it was our anniversary and made us feel special. We used valet parking and they had our car waiting at 6:15 a.m,. as scheduled with a breakfast packed to go to the airport. It takes less than 15 minutes to get to the airport. The Palace Una is on one of the prettiest streets in the city.

There is nothing I do not like.

Breakfast was superb, and the morning restaurant staff were brilliant! The bar staff at the rooftop bar and restaurant were also superb, so hard working and yet still courteous. Not forgetting the lobby staff, they were also fantastic, especially Rita M with her gorgeous smile. The location was just north of the main hub but within an easy walk to the centre. Our room staff were spot-on cleaning the room every day, so professional! The views from the rooftop bar were great with Etna in the distance.

One of the biggest drawbacks was that the TV (even though it was quite large - about 42") wasn't a 'smart TV'. We stayed in a hotel in Syracuse 5 months earlier and their TV was an up-to-date model supporting everything from YouTube to Netflix. That was like being home from home. We did miss the home comforts of being able to catch up on things relaxing after a day walking around Catania and watching our favourite stuff on Netflix and YouTube.

The excellent standard an position,on the best street with spectacular views of great architecture an the most fantastic view of the live volcano Etna but the best was the atmosphere the staff from management,reception,restaurant and last but definitely not least house keeping provided such attention to detail an friendly approach that makes the hotel such a great hotel to stay at , so much so we booked again to to stay at the end of this holiday before we fly home , my wife an I couldn’t recommend this gem of a place more highly.

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always available to help with any request. It’s clear they take great pride in ensuring their guests have the best experience possible. The accommodations were equally impressive. My room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I could have asked for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like [specific amenities, e.g., a welcome note, high-quality toiletries, etc.]. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for excellent service and a comfortable, relaxing stay!

I loved everything about this hotel. The service and attentiveness at the front desk was the best I have experienced in Sicily (and I have been traveling here for a decade). Pier, at the front desk, welcomed us like he had been waiting all day for us to come. The young lady (I can't remember her name) the next day also was very kind. It was my birthday, they made sure we had an early check in - we had a room upgrade to a slightly larger suite with a balcony. We had reservations which we made ahead time at the Etnea Rooftop. I HIGHLY suggest it. We also took advantage of the rooftop breakfast the next day. Our friend had an early flight the next day, and they packed her a to-go breakfast and arranged a driver to take her to airport. The hotel is in the one of the prettiest part of Catania with all of the shopping and several sights in walking distance. I often stay one night in Catania for airport purposes, but used to stay near the airport. From now on I will take the time to go into the city centre to return to Hotel Una!

We had a booked a duplex room and a regular room. We particularly liked the duplex - very modern, with a sofa and coffee making equipment downstairs, a little balcony facing right on Via Etnea, and a modern upstairs. A really nice room. Staff were also really good to us. The manager personally looked after us and enquired after us when there had been an issue with the sofa bed on the first day.

The duplex entitled us to breakfast on the 7th floor. This was great for views of Mt Etna each breakfast, but the breakfast selection for such an otherwise good hotel was woeful. Very underwhelming. And occupants of regular rooms even needed to pay extra for this simple breakfast!
