After reading the reviews I wondered what had changed since we stayed eight years ago. All I can say is all the changes are for the better, and for a very reasonably priced hotel, it offers great value for money. No, it’s not the Ritz but people should be realistic when a hotel costs this amount. Our room was very spacious, had a balcony, and the most amazing painted ceiling. The room and bathroom were clean, and the towels and bedding immaculate. The staff were great, spoke good English which helped us, explained about the shuttle bus to the airport which stops every twenty minutes outside the hotel - a major plus if you are travelling by public transport and heading home as we were. The breakfast offered a good selection in a pretty room.

It was noisy at night: we haven’t had a room in Sicily without some noise. Here it was primarily early cleaners in the road (not anything the hotel can be responsible for), and the air conditioning. As on all my reviews this trip, I’d say bring earplugs.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Delicious breakfast. Amazing view - it was a pleasure to see Etna from our room. Close to city centre.

Bathroom need to be renovated immediately. Our balcony window had a huge hole in frame.

Perfect location, close to everything there is to see in Catania.

Breakfast was not that special, and the bathroom was really hot, but than again for the price of this hotel one cannot really complain about anything.

Santuzza art hotel is LOVELY, I adored the pictures, paintings, decorations, and I never seen something like this before in Catania, it's absolutely to be visited

staff was accommodating to our late arrival time from the airport. Also explained with details the premises and places around, ie: pizzeria. The breakfast was delicious and plenty I would recommend them. Thanks Alexandre and family

the location is amazing just right on the main street of the center area. The staff is great and always helpful.

there were 8 mosquitos in the room when arrived, I guess a mosquito net is required on the window.

The communication with the morning/afternoon staff was absolutely wonderful the breakfast was delicious as well. The women working there are really helpful and pleasant.

The late night male staff, who I don’t think was Italian was rude, and unfriendly. I would fire him. Otherwise, the Italian staff were great!

Perfect Location, Close to amenities. Very helpful and polite staff. Large Room and bathroom, value for money. nothing to complain about at all, was perfect for our short stay.

Nothing to dislike.

Perfect location, near the park, pubs, restaurants, shops and monuments. Really friendly and helpful staff. Even though it's in the centre it's quite quiet at night.

Some rooms might need doing up, but still everything works.
