The sliding door was broken ( extremely difficult was to move) from the beginning. And nobody even tried to fix it. The staff at reception are incredibly indifferent to hotel customers. We tried to say hello to them at least two or three times daily for seven days and they only responded twice during the week. The same indifference to all guests. Staff are never the first to greet guests. Once there were six (!) employees at the counter at the same time and not one said hello to us, while they were not busy. This can be explained not only by weak management, but also by the lack of culture of the employees themselves. Unbelievable snobbery. This does not apply to cleaners and waiters.

"Stunning Room and Sweet Touches, but Staff Could Be More Consistent" We booked the room for 2 nights and wanted to check in earlier, but the room was only available at the scheduled check-in time. The breakfast, which was included, was delicious. The room itself was absolutely stunning, truly feeling like a palace, and it was spotlessly clean. As a lovely touch, they offered us hazelnuts and champagne—such a sweet gesture. We truly felt royal during our stay. However, the staff was a bit of a mixed bag—some were very friendly and helpful, while others were less so. Despite this, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The whole experience was wonderful. Frederico at the front desk was a dream.

Located right next to Signoria Square, this top rated Hotel is most conveniently located, while offering high level of comfort and service in a historical and decorative 16c palace. A valet car service allows for hassle-free parking in the restricted central ZTL, allowing visitors to walk freely (all of Florence is accessible on foot from the central Hotel location; attached photos within 10 minute walk) without concerns for their auto. We even had our car washed under valet care to resume our journey sparkling-fresh, after cleansing all the Tuscan dust of the WH Orcia Valley drive, which is a must-travel venue of scenic beauty spotted with numerous charming medieval towns and WH site Pienza. The Hotel is highly recommended for comfort, dedicated service and travel convenience, if the fairly high rates is withing budget range. We are sure the Hotel has become our favorite repeat residence for future visits to Florence.

The location of the hotel us central to walking around Florence. Located just off one of the piazzas, the hotel is close to all of the major attractions and is closer in proximity to the river making it perfect to exploring the Oltrarno side of Florence as well. The staff was very helpful in restaurant recommendations and the rooms were spacious enough per Europe standards. Off of the fifth floor was a terrace large enough for approximately 12 people where you could share a bottle of wine or gaze upon the city. The included breakfast was outstanding. The food was delicious and the staff was so courteous.

Everything! The staff is incredible! I highly recommend this hotel! Everyone from the second the door opens is so helpful. The restaurant is amazing. The front desk staff go above and beyond. We were with a large group and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thank you so much! We are traveling in a large group with someone with a disability and the hotel staff were so helpful.

People visiting Florence for the culture will find this hotel is literally in the heart of the old city center and thus museums, shops, restaurants, etc. You can easily reach most destinations on foot in minutes. The staff are professional, courteous and very helpful. The breakfast is excellent as is their dining in general. Ambiance and convenience come together at The Bernini Palace.

The only suggestion to improve your stay would be to get a room overlooking an inner courtyard rather than the street which can be quite noisy on the weekends. To their credit he staff offered a quieter room if we wished to move but we chose to remain and the noise was considerably less the following nights.

The grounds were beautiful. The staff was exceptional, especially Simonetta, at the hotel bar. We loved the convenience of the hotel location and how clean it was. Breakfast was lovely.

The TV gave us trouble because of some chip malfunction. We called to have someone look at it but it was never fixed. We also couldn’t find English speaking channels on the TV or at least employ English closed captions. A little frustrating, but not enough that we wouldn’t come back. The only other concern was that the shower door/shower lip wasn’t that high and wanted spilled over and on to the floor. It was a disaster. We thought it was the drain but even after maintenance checked, it remained the same—we just adapted.

The breakfast buffet had a great selection to choose from. The room had nice touches like the linen sheets, nightlight in the bathroom and the water left each day when the room was cleaned. The sparking wine at check in was a nice surprise. The location was outstanding. Very close to main attractions especially the Uffizi, Piazza Della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio.

The room view was described as courtyard view which was a little misleading since it looked across to other rooms. We arranged for a private car to the airport instead of a taxi since which was quite pricey. We were not sure how easy it would be to get a taxi on short notice.

everything about our stay was magnificent. from the lovely, professional and helpful staff to the absolutely breathtaking building, our stunning room and the fabulous dining area. the location of the hotel is truly superb and the breakfast satisfactory. Truly wish we had more time at the hotel. will definitely return. They also include personal touches wherever possible. for example, upon checkin staff accompanied us all the way to the room. the usual information and leaflets that are left on a table in the room were handed to us personally with a complete explanation of the facilities etc. it’s just a much more personable approach and different than what you get at other places. Truly great stay and thank you to the wonderful team. would highly recommend.
