The moment I walked in I knew this was going to be a pleasant stay. Everything is exactly as posted on the website. Dario’s professionalism and kindness made my stay even more pleasant. The soft lights and decor were very welcoming. Conveniently located near the airport, tram and bus stop so a taxi isn’t necessary to see Florence. The shuttle service to the airport was on time, 3 minute ride and only 15 euros. Make sure you reserve the night before. The light dinner menu was nice, seeing that I was too tired to go out. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. It’s in a residential, school area which is perfect for a stop over, good sleep and a short visit. I’ll definitely be staying again!!! The room was spacious, well furnished, clean and the beds comfortable. A kettle and coffee were an appreciated bonus, as was the complimentary water. Position very handy for the airport and motorway connections.

The bathroom had a weird quirk: big room, but really tiny shower (could have easily be made bigger in the same room configuration). Parking is first-come first served, apparently, and we ended up parking in the street, but it is almost traffic-free so no big deal.

Hotel Frenchi exceeded my expectations. I glad I booked this hotel as it is such beautiful boutique hotel right near the Florence airport. From the time I arrived early I was warmly welcomed and check in was a breeze. I came in early way before checkin time, the hotel offered to store my bags until my room was ready. I was offered a cappuccino and help with the electronic checkin. The food was delicious. For a ride into the city centre, the tram 🚊 station is right around the corner and is few minutes into the city centre. For my early morning flight, a shuttle was arranged to take me to the airport. Highly recommend!

The location is great, close to the airport and convenient shuttle to get back to the airport after your stay for a reasonable price. Even when you have to leave during the night to due early departure.

Not very many food choices in the “restaurant”. We were unable to go out and have dinner somewhere in town due to health/ mobility reasons. The same person that is the receptionist is the bartender and cook… food was okay but felt as if it was heated in the microwave. Important: there is a step down area on the outside patio which is not noticeable and there is no warning. I have mobility issues and almost fell to the ground when walking to that area. Thankfully no major injuries but this needs to be addressed to stop future accidents.

The remote check in was a little confusing but fortunately an employee was there to help. The lobby was really comfortable and attractive. It was easy to get a nice cocktail and they had food. The employees were very nice. It was very convenient to stay before our flight out of Florence. It’s not as convenient for visiting the museums and monuments. Stay in the city center for that type of experience.

I felt the room was a little bit too expensive for how small and basic it was. However the hard surfaces did seem like they would be easy to keep clean and free of pests which is a priority.

Door key process is a bit complicated.

proximity to the airport, clean rooms, good AC, cardless access, self check in, patio seating spaces, accommodating staff. We were exhausted from being up super early only for our flight to be cancelled and the hotel was kind enough to allow us to check in early. They let us hang out in the indoor seating area while they accommodated our request. They are also very communicative! They reached out to me via WhatsApp to review check in details.

the surrounding location isnt the best. it looks a little sketchy. not much else I can say that I didnt like. it was a quick stay that allowed is to refresh and recharge before our international flight back home.

The room was great, nothing to complain. Everything was new and organized, and everyday there was room service. They provided shampoo and body soap, towels, electric kettle, air conditioning, TV (but only local channels). There was a balcony with a little view for the city.

The location is not that good, it's very far from the city center, you have to get a bus to arrive close or a tram to arrive a little far, which is a problem at night because it's a little creepy. The bus stop working before midnight so you have to be alert not to return late. Also, there is a city-turistic fee that you have to pay in the check-in that I was not expecting, for 4 days I payed 18 euros.

Our flight was cancelled and so I booked the first hotel that came up. Its easy enough to get to with the tram from the airport but the walk from tram to hotel is a bit ... weird - like you think youre going the wrong way but you arent! The hotel was very lovely! The man working that evening was SO helpful and friendly! They serve food and have a lovely outdoor area to sit in the evening. The room had a lovely balcony and view of the mountains, a little mosquito repellent plug in was provided. airconditioned. Very happy with our stay.

I'd say the key situation wasn't great. You have to download an app to open your room door. IN theory this works, but the lovely man working spent so much time being tech support for people to help them download the app. It didnt seem a good use of his time. I will say he was SOO patient with everyone.

Hotel Franchi is an excellent hotel near the airport, and near the tram to Central Florence. The owner, Francesco, and his assistants, including Dario at the Bar, were delightful to speak with and were very helpful to us, in navigating the area. The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing (I had the homemade Lasagne). They welcomed us to the hotel when we arrived, and walked us through the use of the digital key (very convenient and easy to use). Our room was large, clean, and well appointed. When we realized that we forgot something at the hotel, they promptly arranged for it to be mailed to us in Hawaii. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hotel Franchi to any traveler who needs to be close to the airport, or who wants to see the sights of Florence (an easy tram ride).
