Came here as part of our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Wonderful and helpful staff (Ciao Carin, Giulia and Niccolo!). They all really went out of your way to help. The room was upgraded to a superior room with a view of the lake. Free pick n mix sweets station. Welcome chocolates and a bottle of rose in the room and turn down service and more chocolates every day. Acqua di parma toiletries, ghd hairdryer. Complementary water every day. Spa and pools and many therapy options available. I had a great massage there. Great restaurants on site for dinner (tasting menus and paired wines) and a wide array of options at breakfast. Lovely outdoor area opening directly onto the lake with occasional snacks brought to you whilst sunbathing. Lovely terrace for drinks in the evening. Both restaurants have terraces with lovely views of the lake. Highly highly recommended if you're looking for a couple of days relaxing in the area.
Some of the prices in the bar / restaurant are a bit steep (€8 for a bottle of water) and laundry service a little expensive but to be expected.

Gorgeous grounds with many thoughtful touches. highly recommend the lake view rooms. the breakfast was a highlight as well. most of the staff was wonderful especially Diana and Andrea in the bar. We had one or two other experiences with staff members who were a bit brusque out of nowhere but otherwise the staff was very kind and welcoming. Overall, and exceptional 5-star experience!
We wished that it was closer to other restaurants and activities but otherwise the property was stunning.

Grand Hotel Fasano is the most luxurious hotel we have ever stayed in and the staff are second to none. The concierge, waiters, cleaners, bar staff are all professionally trained to a standard that reflects the price of the hotel, they made our 7 night experience unforgettable. We stayed in a Standard room in Villa Principe which was big enough for two, finished to a high modern standard with a lovely ensuite, we had a side view of the lake too but honestly we didn’t spend much time in there as the rest of the hotel is so incredible. We didn’t feel it necessary to upgrade the room. The room is prepared twice a day for you tuning over the linen and drawing the curtains etc for you after your evening, like I said the staff are faultless. The fridge is kept well stocked with complementary san Pellegrino and still water. We also arrived to complement sparkling wine and a second bottle on my wife’s birthday. The swimming pool and outdoor areas are immaculate with an army of staff constantly cleaning and looking after you. The Spa area is also absolutely beautiful with numerous saunas, steam rooms, plunge pools and swimming pools. The swim through tunnel between spa and outdoor pool is fun too. There is lots of easy access directly into the lake for a cooling swim - we were there in midJuly and whilst the water isn’t cold it was refreshing. We ate in most of the restaurants and bars in the hotel and the food was of a very high standard in all of them. Highly recommended the tasting menu and wine paring at Il Pescatore. Breakfast was an absolute delight and occasionally featured a classic guitarists. Also recommend venturing into nearby Salò for an evening. The hotel’s bar serves amazing cocktails but it can be quite quiet in the evening, not the place to go if you want an energetic evening - very relaxing though! For an extremely reasonable €50 we also took advantage of the BMW experience / test drive of the electric iX and took it up to Riva del Garda.
A few unnecessary price hikes. €8.90 for a 1ltr bottle of still water is a bit much. €25 each way for the 5 minute taxi to the hotel’s own restaurant bar La Darsena was very annoying and in my opinion should be a free service for hotel guests. Whilst this is a family hotel there were some kids especially in the spa area not exactly adhering to the quiet zone rules, this could be politely policed a little better by the staff. The bed was slightly firm for our liking but that’s a personal choice. The hotel would not provide an iron do to safety reasons so we had to pay quite a high price for clothes to be ironed again a little bit annoying.

Pros Spectacular view of the Lake, truly breathtaking. Wonderful lounge area around pool and lake, plenty of loungers, fresh towels etc. Pool staff are wonderful, very friendly and they provide guests with complimentary ice-cream, fruit, nuts etc, a lovely touch. Amazing to take a swim in the lake with plenty of easy access. The spa is fantastic, I had 2 massages and both were divine, absolutely heaven. Thank-you to Susi. Breakfast was pretty good, a wide and varied selection but the off menu selection was very poor. Eggs Benedict was one egg on an extremely stale muffin, inedible. Waffles with Nutella was one tiny waffle, and I wasn’t a fan of the French toast which was like cake. The omelette was ok though but I would just stick to the buffet. The croissants and pastries were fantastic. Room cleanliness really great, no complaints. Staff in terrace bar were really professional, courteous and offered prompt service always with a smile. We didn’t eat in the 2 main restaurants just the Magnolia and terrace bar and after a week were bored with the options as we had 2 teenagers with us they weren’t keen on trying the Michelin star restaurant so we went out for evening meals. The terrace bar is fabulous what a view, lovely and quiet with background piano playing.
Cons Oh how we wish we had hired a car, you can’t just pop to a shop or a restaurant, you need to walk 15-20 minutes and in searing heat this is not pleasant. Impossible to get a taxi, we tried! The hotel can provide a courtesy car but a 4minute drive to Il Vittoriale will cost you 25 euros ( one way) and a 6min trip to Salò a cool 35 euro ( one way) The bus service though is pretty good, but we had to figure that out for ourselves, it would be great if the hotel provided information on buses or even had a shuttle bus service.

The location, staff and facilities were nothing short of amazing. The staff always went out of their way to help you with anything you needed. The spa was perfect - clean and modern. The spa treatments were also outstanding. The breakfast was superb. It really is a beautiful, special place. And we absolutely loved spending our honeymoon there.
They had turned off the air con for everyone at the hotel as it has been cold recently. But it really was very warm in the room, and aircon was definitely needed. So I didn’t sleep the best as I was very warm. They did provide us with a small fan, but it wasn’t the same as air con. I would expect a five star hotel to always have aircon available to guests.

The hotel is definitely 5-star quality. The breakfast offerings were extensive and it was lovely to sit looking out over the lake each morning. The room was very comfortable and clean, the bathroom was spacious. We ate on the terrace one evening and dine indoors another and food was excellent both times. I especially enjoyed having a drink in the quiet, cozy atmosphere of the Gin Bar. The outdoor facilities were great.
I like being close to a town and Gardone was more than a short walk away, but the hotel supplied a driver and car for a small fee.

This hotel is absolutely incredible! It surpassed every single expectation, the most amazing, friendly and helpful staff, we felt so welcome from the moment we turned up… also the welcome drinks are out of this world! The spa is by far the best we’ve ever been to (the tunnel pool that links to the outside pool is a must!)… we spent hours there one rainy afternoon, the beds next to the poolside means you can chill until your hearts content, snacking on dried mango and drinking the peach water in there! We had a deluxe room with a lake view which is highly recommended! Everything you could ever need, exceptionally clean and relaxing. At breakfast there was a guitarist playing soothing tunes, and a pianist in the evening playing at the outside bar… both brought a great vibe which suited the atmosphere perfectly! I could write about this hotel for days, we’ve just returned home and missing it already… but I’ll just say, if you’re planning to stay here, we’re very jealous! We’ll be returning asap! Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable.

Staff were excellent, spa facilities were very good, hotel was beautiful with tremendous views over Lake Garda. We had booked a superior room with a partial lake view but we were in Villa Principe and had a full view of the lake and we could hear the waves lapping and the ducks quacking.
It's a bit of a walk to the main part of Gardone although we suspected as much before we arrived. A complimentary bus to Gardone and Salò would have been useful and given the forthcoming refurbishment of the Grand Hotel Gardone (GHG) to five-star standards, the Fasano will have some serious competition. The GHG is right in the heart of Gardone and amenities are just a short walk from the door. The Fasano's in-house restaurants are both a bit too upmarket for our tastes which meant having to walk into Gardone every evening to find something a little less fancy. Finally, we felt that there needs to be a proper paved pathway to Villa Principe as the grass was worn down and a got a bit muddy in the morning dew.

This was an impromptu stop on the way to Venice so we had no idea about the area or expectations for the hotel and it completely exceeded all expectations. The property is beautiful and set directly on the lake. The staff were polite, attentive and seemed happy to help with anything. The spa facilities included were excellent, it was great to have both indoor and outdoor pools as well as the Sauna. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. Overall just a great experience and already booked our next stay.
Odd experience with the member of staff who brought our room service. Seemed angry or bothered and wasn't at all friendly.
