Stylish room, comfortable bed, good shower. Liked the coffee pods left for us in our room and kettle with sachets if tea/coffee if we needed them. Having a fridge was great. An iron and mini ironing board was really useful too. The location was excellent, right in the town centre and 10 mins walk to the port

Downside was the parking. Parked in Stazione Centrale on arrival 5pm until 10 next day- cost us 32€. Next day parked further away on streets nearer the port 8pm -8am for free and moved car beforehand. If other channels other than Italian were available on TV - would be better for international travellers

Absolutely loved this accommodation and was amazed at what we got for the price we paid. The location is very central so you’ve got loads to do on your doorstep. The room itself is lovely and big and has everything you need. Would definitely stay here again if I return to la spezia.

We didn’t get instructions on how to re-enter the outside building so had to ask the bar man in the bar downstairs who sort of laughed at us like we were being a bit stupid. Was probably just a small oversight as we received all other instructions just not how to enter the main building as originally someone buzzes you in.

Location was good. Walking distance from the train station, close to the main areas, but on a quiet side street. There is a pub/restaurant underneath that plays metal music so my husband was happy. It was very busy when we stayed, and nice atmosphere. We didn't really hear the music in our room. The room itself was comfortable and clean.

When we arrived we rang the bell as per instructions but no answer. We rang the number we were given, and the number over the door but no answer. Had to wait outside. Finally we had a reply and were let in. We paid our city tax at the bar downstairs but had to call him back to give our names. I confirmed with the host we had paid but got no reply. Nice apartment but needs better communication.

We had a great stay here. The staff were lovely and cleaned our room everyday. The room was nicely presented and clean. There were amenities to make coffee, tea, etc. which was a nice touch.

Our room was above the main street so there was a little bit a street noise (not cars because there is not many cars in the area). This might be different for the rooms further back though.

The host was very! Responsive. I had trouble with my AC and her husband came in a few minutes and fix it for me. The small room was perfect for a solo traveler.

I guess the big rooms bed was a little too firm for my taste. The smalls room bed though was perfectly soft. I had some issues with my AC and same for the heater in the bathroom…guess they will get it fixed since it was a bit cold:)

Very clean and conveniently located. Only four rooms.

It was above a restaurant of the same name but appeared to have no connection. It was just four rooms with no additional services. No breakfast and a very limited ration of tea and coffee left in the room. Would I stay again? Yes. Just wish I’d known exactly what I was booking.

Problem with no hot water in the shower but the owner acted promptly to sort the situation out ...this was only our room n just unfortunate..I would still recommend this property.

The room is very well designed. I was surprised when they asked to send them a copy of our passports but it was to speed up the check in process. The instructions given were very detailed and helpful. I loved the location also as it is very central and close to the train station, the waterfront, and the Main Street. Haven’t met the receptionist but she was really of a great assistance in written communication.

Everything was as expected.

Everything was very clean. We arrived as the room was being cleaned but the lady was very kind and let us quickly put our bags in the room so we didn't need to carry them around. The room had everything we needed and was very cozy.

The shower made a very loud noise whenever it was used.

Clean and comfortable rooms with style, cared for by a young couple. All amenities some bigger hotels don't have. We appreciated the iron and clothes drying rack. Perfectly located ten minutes walk from the train station and in the middle of the shopping/ restaurant district and ten minute walk to the port/ boardwalk/park. The rooms are associated with the Bar Metallo restaurant just downstairs. One of the best kept secrets (until now) in La Spezia. Do not fail to order one of their homemade beers. The Undici is now my favorite.

We plan on going back. We liked everything about Metallo. Some people may not like that the rooms are on the second floor and as of our visit the elevator did not stop there. There is a door on the level so it is probably just a temporary techical glitch. Many older European buildings are without elevators so this is something to be aware of.
