The staff, from the reception to the breakfast staff to the cleaning staff were all lovely. Only to happy to help with any requests. They even organised a professional transfer from the airport in Pisa to the hotel for us. The hotel is beautiful. Should really be a five star hotel the location is excellent. 5 mins from the beach, loads of lovely places to eat, drink or just have a coffee within a minutes walk and only 10 minutes walk from the station to go a see Cinque Terre.

A small problem with the shower. It kept going hot then cold but didn’ mention it as not sure what could have been done.

Set in the heart of Levanto our bedroom had a view down the street to the promenade which is a 5 min walk away. The bedroom was well appointed with very comfortable large double bed and modern clean bathroom. The breakfast was delicious each day with lots of choice. we stayed here for 4 nights. We borrowed bikes from the hotel ( which are free to use) and rode the coastal cycle path from Levanto to Bonassola and on to Framura. Amazing route along what used to be the old railway line and has been converted into a cycle/pedestrian route. Passing through lots of long tunnels along the way it is certainly worth doing for the views. On a different day we caught the ferry from Levanto to visit the Cinque Terre and Portovenere. Very easy to buy tickets from the ferry terminal situated on the promenade. The restaurant facing the hotel - Sapori is owned by the hotel and the food there is worth a try. Delicious local cuisine. Not a pizza in sight. And a 10 per cent discount for hotel visitors

Cleaning staff needs to knock before entering the room.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered something for everyone. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to use the hotel bikes for free and anytime we wanted. The bike path in Levanto along the coast was beautiful. The room was nice, but a little small for a family of three. (But who wants to stay inside when visiting the Cinque Terre?) The location of the hotel was excellent, close to everything. The train station was within 5 minutes walking distance. We would definitely come back!

Absolutely amazing hotel. All facilities available and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Fantastic choice of food for breakfast. Catered for every taste. In the heart of Levanto and close to railway station, beach, etc. lots of fab restaurants on the doorstep. Would definitely stay at Hotel Nazionale again. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday enjoyable, especially after the train strike on our arrival.

Lovely welcome , Martina was nice and very welcoming, gave us a few quick tips on places where to dine and told us a few things we needed to know. The room was clean and well organized . Breakfast was lovely , the staff was very positive !

All amazing till the moment we had to check out where the other reception had her breakfast before checking us out and let us wait while she finished the cereal although we where told that her shift was starting at 8.30 am

Very central, rooms were quiet, clean, and staff was very friendly, parking was safe and flexible, considering the cluttered nature of the city. Excellent breakfast.

A second hotel entrance with shower or a tap for coming from the beach with sandy feet would be great, although not easy to implement. In August, the lidos were sold out, and in 2 days we needed to go to the public beach.

The location is very convenient, close to the city center, the beach and not far from the train station. The breakfast was amazing! The hotel deco is very nice, modern and well maintained.

The shower was extremely small and uncomfortable, it didn’t even have a holder for the soap or shampoo, so you needed to reach them on the floor and being so tight, it was almost impossible to shower! On top of that, the water temperature was impossible to regulate, no matter how hard you try, it was either burning hot or cold, nothing in between

A buffet breakfast with coffee made to order although I found the coffee from the urn was very drinkable! All the usual offerings plus an array of pastries and home-made cake. Well-located hotel between beach and railway station. Warm welcome on arrival and all staff helpful and friendly throughout. Our toon, a junior suite was more than big enough for a couple.

It could be noisy some evenings directly outside, not traffic just lively conversation, outside diners etc. Might disturb some but not us !

Great location for exploring Cinque Terre. Very walkable to the train station and also a great, vibrant town for the evenings. Car parking was perfect for us. Breakfast was great and if we needed any help with anything the team where only too happy to assist. We had a fabulous room with everything that you need and lots of space. Personally I would recommend staying here rather than the smaller towns in the Cinque Terre.

We did have a little noise from one of the bars opposite on our first night. The room was very well soundproofed, but some people are just very loud. Apart from that perfect.
